They are basically my life right now. They're a well-rounded group, I think, with their sick beats and things. I they are also the only example of hip-hop that I've come across that I can't say anything negative about. Have a listen?

I love this band...I have 3 of their albums. -> Gorillaz - self titled I think. My overall favorite. -> Demon Days -> Plastic Beach ... I can't say I enjoyed this one as much as the others. The music sounded similar/the same for the whole album.

I LOVE them! Like most fans, I found Demon Days to be the best.. Plastic Beach takes a few listens, but then you really grow to like it. the self titled ones not too bad. And I do enjoy that new single, Doncamatic.
One day, I will see them live... (I know they're not cartoons irl lol, I saw a few videos, it looks amazing)
I could go on forever about their popular songs.

Wasn't a fan of Plastic Beach, though Stylo is awesome.
And Bruce Willis is in the video for it. Which makes it even moar awesome.

Gorillaz is a great band! I really enjoyed their first album and, after a ton of listening, grew fond of the second album. Had no idea their third album was out. Need to give it a listen. n.n

They seem to have a grasp on actual funk/rock they're not just turn tables which is good. Like their lead guitarist for some of the first years Simon Katz was even still with Jamiroquai. (big international Funk band) while recording for the Gorrilaz.
Mike Smith as well use to play with Jamiroquai and the Brand New Heavies. So a lot of musicians from different genres/experiences. You usually have to have a decent understand of jazz to play Funk/R&B.
Anyway haven't heard the Gorrilaz last two ablums. I still appreciate their honesty and illustration of the world. Most record companies have a problem with any politically motivated material. Its a breath of fresh air to me. Mainstream is too filled with the songs that just idealize love/relationships/material things. Also theres too many artists that aren't good at telling a story.
In the end most media from music/games/movies/books tell a story in some way.

I love the Gorillaz but it's been reported that they're parting ways very soon after they release a greatest hits album.
