Nouă was all kinds of excited and nervous.
"K-k-keep y-your ey-eyes cl-close-sed. I pr-pro-promise y-you'll l-l-like i-it..." he leaned forward, whispering softly in the cervitaur's ear. He took Ayela's hands gently within his own, worried about walking backwards but knowing that his luck would be better around his love. He walked backwards carefully, making sure that he didn't trip to manage to trip her as he led the both of them around a bend and into a clearing.
"A-a-alright. Y-you ca-ca- you c-can op-pen y-your eyes n-now," he said softly, moving to the side to give her a view of her surprise. In the clearing was a project that he as well as many hired hands he'd found in the city had been working on for months. Ayela did live with him in his own small house, but it was... well, it was small, and his love's roundness predicted that it would soon be too small to house all of them. So in the middle of the small clearing was a fairly large house, obviously built by professionals, but with a definite taste of Nouă's unluckiness to its design. "D-d-do y-you li-like it?"

 Ayela completely trusted her mate. She wasn't far from the due date, and that fact meant she was easily tired. She was getting more and more reliant on Noua..
When he said to open her eyes, she obeyed. Her eyes were still having a hard time focusing, but they had gotten a little better over time with love's help. Maybe all her sight needed was a little love and faith.. She gasped softly when their new home came into focus. "Oh Noua.. It's so beautiful!" She couldn't believe that he had been building a new home.. She thought their old one had been comfortable, but it would have been hard to add on to. "How did you do this?"

Nouă smiled sheepishly, a blush rising, unwelcomed, to his face as his mate stared at the new building in awe. He kicked gently at the ground with one of his hooves, stirring the earth just slightly as he did so, trying to will the blush from his face. He blushed so much that it felt like he lived in an oven half of the time; it was ridiculous.
He smiled, trying to make himself look more confident, as he wrapped one arm around the small of his lover's back, helping to lead her to the house itself. "I-I got h-help from so- from s-some of the p-people in t-t-town. It's w-why I've b-been working s-so much l-l-lately," he explained, nodding softly as he nudged the door open. Already, the rooms were mostly furnished - he had been sneaking out the lesser parts of their furniture over the past couple of weeks so that it wouldn't be barren when Ayela first saw it - and the only things that it was really missing were the larger pieces of furniture. "I w-wanted to make s-sure we had r-r-room. F-for the babies..."
