I expect lots of people are hoarding them, given the performance of the Kiki and Coco plushies.

I don't think they're a bad item to hoard, but I don't think they're going to reach the heights of either Kiki or Coco anytime in the foreseeable future for many reasons:

1. Lots of people are hoarding them because they're cats and they're cute. This means there will be a plentiful supply for a long time to come. Price rises aren't just about desirability; they're also about scarcity, which this cat just doesn't have.

2. They're not black or white. This makes them more difficult to use on different avatars.

3. Gaia's been releasing a lot of cute cats lately, so there's a lot of competition out there. I can't say I'm sorry because I personally like cats (see my companions on the current avatar). But it makes them less desirable as an investment.

Again, I don't think they're a particularly awful investment, especially if you watch your buy price carefully. But I think other things will do better.
