She never forsaw her mate abandoning her for the roguelands, and it left Miira bitter. Her seer abilities never warned her, or, she was too optimistic. The male she knew was close was Yiirou.
Yiirou, a sterile leopon who came from nowhere and was kind and good. She rather adored him, and licked his face the first time the other day. Her mother and surrogate father were gone too, the acts killing her aunt, leaving her the only pale white lioness of her markings left.
It stunk, losing someone you cared for, and she sat, sighing.
Ilse walked, still musing over Etihad's words as she moved, eyes deep in thought as she moved through the land, eyes down in thought when a lioness came up to her with an odd expression. Ilse blinked, looking up at her.
"Hi?"
"I forsee s**t in your future." Miira stated plainly. Ilse got a flat look, frowning in confusion at her, scratching her hjead.
"Thank you Captain Obvious?"
Miira rolled her eyes, shaking her head at the leopardess, and looked to her cooly, frowning.
"It's not only you. It's your pride. Your home."
At that, Ilse froze, looking to her silently, eyes wide.
"My pride? What do you meant?" She tensed, eyes wide. Miira sighed, looking her in the eyes.
"War is brewing. The gods of your people are displeased and choosing their avatars. Some will die for their ideals and some will like, and unless things improve, your pride could be torn to peices." Miira sighed. "Or destroyed by an angry few."
Ilse went silent, mulling it over in her mind, then frowned, looking to Miira stubbornly. Miira blinked. Those neon eyes... So intense....
"I want to save my people." She spoke firmly. Miira's ears pricked, the female nodding, and smirked.
"The words I wanted to hear. Good. You'll need help, yes?"
"Well, if I have--"
"You will, then. Because you will and they will help show other species are not out to destroy the pride." Miira sighed, closing her eyes. Never had she actively used her power or tried, but instinct said this was right. Yes..... This was right. She spoke, body waving as if in a trance.
"There's a colony of leopards from which three recently left of healthy, strong blood with keen eyes and tounges. They bear inhertid hatreds of non-leopard species just as Nobles disapprove of the hybrids. If you find them, take them with you. They will gladly protect your cubs."
"Why would they help if they..."
"Because you are a leopard and nobility, and one is the princess."
Ilse blinked, and nodded, looking to Miira. The white lioness was panting, shaking the illusion in her mind, gasping. Seeking an answer had taken a toll and the female had nor expected it. Miira took a breath, and smiled to her.
"I can't tell you that sadly. But I can tell you they'll be in the jungle, if you look for them." Miira lay down, weary.
"Why are you helping me? A stranger?"
Miira blinked, and looked up, smiling gently and kindly, a soft smile.
"My visions have never brought long term joy. I suppose, part of my price being born of a seer, born of the blood of a god's grandchild. But you, something seems right telling you. My cousin Kohrisu'sw been haunted by images of others' pasts and saw a blue, black, and green lioness whom was alone among lions. You fit his description, and I believe there's reason we saw it.... Especially my cousin, before his mate takes him away from all of us."
Ilse blinked, looking at her in confusion. Miira smiled sadly.
"I had a vision, of my cousin Kohrisu with a demon-lion in bells, black, and red, that lured him away pretending to love him. After that... I can't tell if it remains false or becomes pure."
Ilse sighed, hugging Miira with a paw.
"Time ebbs and flows. It can change or remain constant. It's not worth worrying that you'll lose someone, you just have to cherish the moment, because tomorrow may yet not come. The Gods work in mysterious ways, and they too, can't guide fate. Especially not if they can't see it, and to my knowledge, noone is a seer. Not even my own gods. They rely on proper Seers to help them. Only mortals, I heard, are seers. And only Seers are able to know, even if but little. Maybe there's a reason you See as you do." Ilse smiled softly. Miira blinked, then sighed.
"I only wish I didn't forsee a shitty future."
"I can understand that. But like I said, maybe there's a reason! After all, for all the s**t you see, you seem a good lady. So who knows?" Ilse smiled. Miira blinked.
"Well... I do have Yiirou..."
"See? A perk! A perk!"
Miira blinked, sweatdropping at her. Okay then!
"What about you? You were raised among pricks."
Ilse's expression grew serious suddenly.
"My parents... They loved me, even if I was different. My mom... The most beautiful lioness nobility had to offer, but my gfather... He was something else, a real man. A master, if you will. And Grandpa hated him for one reason."
Miira blinked, looking to Ilse in curiousity, blinking. Ilse looked down, heaving a sigh, and looked Miira in the eyes.
"My father was of colonial blood. My brother Treize is of colonial blood. Grandfather had my father run off from the pride when we were very young to raise Treize and I as straighjt nobility. It killed our mother. She left to find my father, but.... Some outsidrs found her first, and all that was found was her pelt and bones. She was murdered and we never found by whom." Ilse closed her eyes sadly.
"Treize and I lost a brother that way... Our brother Vaan fled and never returned, to try finding mother's killer. And our baby sister Lynde...." Ilse closed her eyes.
"Treize was never the same since. That's why he's violently protective of Lady Arden, I think. Everyone we love we lose." Ilse looked away, eyes closing. Miira blinked, eyes glazing slightly. She saw movement, someone with Ilse... And nothing, and she said nothing, touching her paw.
"Don't give up on others yet." Miira smiled. Ilse looked to her, and Miira smiled mysteriously, rising to walk away.
"Just trust in me and go find your Guardians."
Miira left, singing a song about guardian angels, and Ilse blinked, before looking towards the jungle and the Mwako lands, and heaved a sigh.
"OK, Ilse... You can do this. Lets go."
And Ilse rose, walking towards her destiny.
