___ _________________________________________________________________ Ah yes, it wasn't too long after the two brother's move to the island, that Avien had found a real reason to be here. He was now the proud owner of the local coffee shop, happily named 'The Hard Bean Cafe'... Yeah, some of it was a little ironic, and kind of like a bad pun, but he was very proud of his little shop. The air was already filled with the sent of freshly ground coffee beans, and the sound of smooth jazz hummed in the background, or at least instrumental versions of more popular songs. It was the total perfect atmosphere for a coffee shop! Modern but relaxed... Yeah, it was obvious that the owner was gay just based on the tastes of the place, but it was nicer for it all. Avien was happy, and he had actually managed to get his brother out of the house by promising him his large caramel frappachino while letting him watch the TV that was there. Of course, Clark was pretty much, just channel surfing, bored out of his mind... There was a reason, that he was trying to remember, why he came here. Oh yeah, he glanced down at his chilled hand. He had to give it to his brother... He knew how to crank out the cafe beverages with the perfect taste! Not that Clark was really particular about his sweets intake. He was personally more of a potato chips and cola kind of guy. Drinking a frilly little drink like this was kind of comical, even if it was delicious. Finally he let the channel rest on cartoons. He may have been a legal adult now, but he was far from acting like one. He had a short attention span like a child, so the short TV shows were good for him... That, and it didn't totally ruin the atmosphere of the place since the TV was all the way at the back of the long room, near the leather furniture pieces. The leather was more practical as it was easier to clean at the end of the day. Avien liked to keep things clean as it looked nicer that way, and he could feel better about it. Speaking of feeling better about clean things... He peered down at his nicely manicured nails, thinking of the boy at the salon. He was a cutie~ The owner of the coffee shop couldn't help but wonder if he'd be seeing him stopping by here any time soon. Letting out a sigh, Avien leaned on the counter. No one was there to keep him company since Clark was more than happy with his cartoons across the way. Peering out the window, he caught a glimpse of his reflection and snickered a little... Yeah, he wasn't used to not being in his usual attire. He had to look presentable though for customers to feel more comfortable. That mean he was wearing semi-casual clothes... It was more like casual clothes with a formal look... Yeah, that's how it could be described... He looked all tall and lean in his black slacks, white shirt, and black best.. The pale colored apron in front made it look even better. He looked like a respectable coffee shop owner, right? His eyes went up to the reflection of his freshly cut and colored hair. It looked so nice... Kade had done a nice job with him... _________________________________________________________________

That had been a horrible week for him. So horrible in fact that he had spent that week drunk and high. His whole body hurted, not because he had cut himself, something he hadn't done all weak, it seemed so futile now, but because Bela's couch wasn't the best couch around to sleep on for a week. Well, not her fault, she was stuck in the same shitty dump of a INN that him and... that other boy, had been living in for the past year. ********. Perhaps because he was such a mess right now, he had made his way to the club in order to get drunk (again) only to realized, once there, that it was closed. Yeah, the one day of the week that it's actually close. ********. He had turned around, thinking about simply getting himself high somewhere, which just sounded boring, when he noticed the coffee shop. Well, that was new. There used to be one before, but it was runned by a bunch of creepy teenager. Like ******** he was going anywhere near it. This one, however, looked... normal. Something you would have found back in the city. That was better than nothing. He did read once that having too much caffeine in your body did the same effect as being high.
He walked inside the shop, making a disgusted face right away. This was so.. bleh. Bah, he was in a bad mood and everything was just horrible latly, might as well get used to it. He made his way to the counted, and looked over at the menue, taking his damn time to read it. Yes, because He could read it, unlike a fake blonde ex friend of his. He would love to know just how he would do, now that he had to do everything himself. It had always been Keith doing everything, Conor was just the one.. telling him to do it. But then again, now that he was ******** Snow White... ******** style="color: teal">"Urg, Get me... whatever. Just make it with your strongest coffee. Large." Yeah, didn't felt like thinking. Why? Because everytime he thought about somethign, he was always including him in them. What would Conor do? What would he like? Urgh, this was so annoying.
He turned around to take a better look at the place. He felt like throwing up. Which meant it was at least half decent, since he was just feeling like doing it, and not actually puking right now. He did notice someone in the back watching some kid cartoon. He said a bit loudly, making sure that the boy would hear him.

___ _________________________________________________________________ Avien's bright blue eyes fell on the man that entered the door. First customer!~ How exciting! He stood up straight and waited for the man to order, but when he hear the order, he couldn't help but wonder about the other's mood... "Sure thing... having a rough time, or just need the extra caffeine?" he asked with a soft smile as he pulled out a large cup, "For here or to-?" it was then that he heard the man insult Clark's cartoons... This was not going to be good... Clark, luckily, wasn't quite as pissed as he was earlier and just slowly turned to glare at the man that insulted him. "Shut the ******** up and mind your own!" he yelled before turning back to cartoons, twitching slightly. "Sorry about him... he's kind of touchy, so I'd be a little careful around him... His name's Clark, and he's my little brother... He's pouting over something that happened in a game or something..." Avien shrugged, "Don't take his bad attitude too personally... Do you want your drink here or to go?" It mattered, because if he wanted it to go, it would be in a nice Styrofoam cup... but if he wanted it for here, it would be in an outrageously large, and get awesome mug. _________________________________________________________________

Keith looked the man behind the counted up and down, having completly ignored him when he had first enter. Seriously, like if a simply coffee shop worker was important enough for Conor to... oh, right. Goddamn ******** it. Oh well, he was still pretty damn cute. He would do him with... no one. This was all.. so new to him. Being on his own. Not having to deal with Conor... not that he had ever hated it. Hell, he enjoyed it! That's what made them, them. Now it was just so.. wrong. ********. He lift back his eyes to look at the man who also had red haired. He couldn't stop but wonder if it was his personal choice, or had been attacked by Kade just the same way he had been a season ago. He answered truthfully. Usually, he wouldn't have care to answer his question and just told him to ******** off, but what did that all mattered now?
Did that boy just told him to shut up? He ******** just did! That felt... nice. The only one he knew, that wasn't himself, who spoke like that was.. Ugh, Conor again. This was getting more and more annoying. Yet, he couldn't stop but liking it. "For here... not like I have anywhere to go while b***h ******** her clients" Yeah, right, as if Bela and Xiero were anything but a prostitute and her clients. He wouldn't believe anything other than that. While waiting for his coffee to be done, he walked toward where the boy was watching TV, Stared at him for a second, grinned and went "Yeah, no wonder you watch stupid cartoons. Can't even beat a little game now are you? ******** useless. Worst than a kid. Bet you never were able to beat a single one."

___ _________________________________________________________________ The man behind the counter frowned a little. He felt bad for his customer, and just nodded, starting right away at making his coffee... He'd put a little extra something in it for him since he needed the extra hit of caffeine and alcohol? No... Avien wasn't devious enough to actually spike the coffee since the man wanted to drink anyways, was he? Oh, he was one to please, and that was exactly what he did... He set the finished drink off to the side table at the other end of the counter for the man to come pick it up whenever he was ready for it. The beverage was still plenty hot, so it was probably a good thing to get it cool for now. Then he heard what the man said to Clark and let out a long sigh. "Here we go...""WHAT THE ******** DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME!?!" snapped Clark as he glared sharply at Keith from under his messy mop of dark brown hair... His eyes were dark as well, so he didn't look much like his brother aside from the jawline. It wasn't long before he had the other jacked against the wall, slamming him into a few times, "Say it again! Say it again! I ********' dare you!" Yeah... There was one major rule of thumb when it came to talking to Clark... You NEVER EVER doubted his gaming skills... EVER! "Clark! Stop it! You're just making an a** out of yourself!" called Avien from back at the counter. It was true... Getting that pissed about a game was super immature, and just further proving Keith's point... It wasn't just for Clark's sake though that he wanted him to calm down... His first customer was being slammed against a wall... such a good reputation for his work place... With this kind of luck, no one was ever going to set foot in here again just because of this... _________________________________________________________________

However, unlike what Avien might have been thinking, Keith was having the time of his life week and grinning his face of. Immaturity? Short temper? Picking up a fight? This was all... this was... yes, perfect! Ah! He had found someone to replace his stupid moronic ex best friends. "I said. That. You. Suck. At. Games." Replied the boy. Usually, he would have appeared cocky or angry when saying something like that, but right now? He was just so happy it almost looked wrong. Keith then frowned and glared toward the eldest brother who was still behind the counted. "Hey! Who the ******** gave you permission to intervene? Let your ******** brother do what the ******** he wants! No one asked for your opinion!" Seriously, just who did he think he was? Stopping a fight between men! If it wasn't for the fact that he was trying all his best to block some childhood memories, Keith would have recalled that this was basically a reenacting of the day he had met Conor. Yes, everything was just perfect. Well, Clark would need to punch him in the face and give him a black eye, then everything would be perfect./size

___ _________________________________________________________________ Avien just let out a sigh... This man was just asking for Clark to beat the s**t out of him, and if he kept it up, getting a black eye wouldn't be the worst of it. If he wanted that, he'd allow Clark to do as he pleased... It wasn't like he could really stop him at this point, since he was beyond livid. Yeah, he just hoped the wall would be fine and that they wouldn't get blood on the furniture... "I AM GOING TO ******** KILL YOU!!!" he did now punch him in the face, and a few other places with each word that followed, "YOU. ********. PIECE. OF. s**t!!!!" Clark hadn't had a fit like this in a while... It was nice to have the feel of his hand working over someone's flesh again. It was obvious though that he was enjoying making this stranger he just met suffer. That's what you get for calling me bad at games you ********> After about the tenth punch, Clark seemed to snap out of it, dropped the piece of s**t and went back to his cartoons. The commercial break was over.
Avien shook his head slightly at that... Same old Clark... He would freak out and then just drop back to normal to watch cartoons. Such a freak. Of course, if Keith persisted, he would probably get more beat up than what was already done to him. Clark may not have looked like much, but he was actually really strong when he was raging. Sure, his diet sucked, and he never really worked out aside from beating people up that pissed him off, but he was actually in great shape. How did that work? Probably the late night runs to get junk food... _________________________________________________________________

As he was being punched, Keith smile just grew wider until he was laughing out of pure joy. This is what he had been missing all week! Hell, even the last season! Keith had wonder what was up with Conor back then, but not it was all so clear. Sure, he had never really hit him as hard as Clark was hitting him right now, but that just proved that Clark was a better man that Conor would ever be. After the boy went back to watching some cartoon, Keith picked himself up, cought a little, rubbed where his stabbed wound was, making sure it hadn't open, and walked back toward the counted, to get back his coffee. Smiling like he had never done since last season, he chugged half of his drink right away, it having had time to cool down while the boy was getting a beat. "You're ******** brother got quite a punch... Do you think I'll have a black eye? Does it looks like it? Please tell me it ******** looks like it." He leaned down toward the counted, looking directly in Clark's direction. How lucky was he, to have found someone like him only a week after... him. "Oh, uh, I'm Keith, by the way." He said to the man who had made his coffee. Now, he just felt like going back to annoy the boy, but he doubted his body could take an other beating like that. ********, that was even better than cutting...

___ _________________________________________________________________ The older of the two brothers shrugged at the comment about his brother's punch. "Yeah, it's pretty surprising he can do so much damage since all he does it eat junk food and play videos..." he then leaned over to look at Keith's eye, "Yeah, that's definitely going to be a shiner in a bit... Oh, and I'm Avien and my brother's name is Clark..." He was a little impressed that this man could even really stand all that well, or at least straight up, since Clark had worked him over pretty good in that short period of time. Clark's temper was like no other, and the two of them both seemed to understand that. This could have been a good start to something though, if Keith really did like getting beat to hell by the younger of the two brothers. Maybe you'll make friends after all thought the gay man with a smirk. He never really thought that Clark would have anyone brave enough to take his beatings. Was this Keith guy a masochist? Either way, it wasn't his problem really. If Clark was more relaxed now from beating on this guy, and this guy got some sort of high off of it... it was all good. They didn't leave any blood or damage to the cafe, but if they wanted to fight again, maybe the basement of their home would be a better place. _________________________________________________________________

Jack came into the cafe, slouching and yawning. He couldn't sleep last night, well he has been having trouble sleeping all week. He yawned again and slowly staggered to the counter, not even seeing another customer there. His eyes were half closed as he looked at the man behind the counter "I need your strongest coffee" He said then yawned again. He hoped this coffee would perk him up, he needed to be alert for his customers in acouple hours.

Keith grinned back at Avien. Sure, he was used to have three somes with Conor and someone else, but that didn't meant he couldn't have both of the brothers at the same time without Conor.. if would still be a threesome... He pushed that thought out of his head. He had to stop thinking about everything being Conor related. Conor was gone and wasn't his problem anymore. Well, it was more him who had left, but it was all Conor's fault... or Blair. Yeah, ******** Blair's fault. They should just burn her house down.. .oh, no, once again, that was Conor's trip, not his. ********, this would take a while to get used too...
As he finished thinking that, the adrenaline rush he had just received started to die down and he could feel his body yelling in pain at him. Especially his ribs. "Awh, ********. Ugh." He moaned, rubbing his sides. Oh well, it was well worth it. "Your bro... reminds me of someone.. I thought I knew." He simply said, drinking more of his coffee. It tasted... better than coffee tasted usually. He was probably just still drunk from all the alcohol he had drank all week long, because he could swear this tasted just like alcohol.

___ _________________________________________________________________ Avien blinked a few times, "Oh really? Could you hold that thought for a moment, I need to take this customer real fast... don't go anywhere, I want to hear about this person that Clark reminds you of..." said the gay coffee shop owner as he shuffled over to the man that just came in, "That seems to be a popular order for today... What size would you like that in?" He felt kind of bad ditching Keith over there with his spiked coffee at the moment, but he'd be back to chat some more in a second, after he helped with other gentleman get his caffeine fix. It wasn't long till Clark was out of frappachino and ditched his cup, "Going home... gotta kick some a** at FFX," he announced to his brother before starting on his way out the door. He was pretty much ignoring Keith as of right now. It was too much of a bother to keep beating him up when he wasn't as angry anymore. The cartoons had mellowed him out a little, and his burst of energy from the comments the man had said was gone. He just wanted to go beat that game now... He was done holding a grudge against it, and was just going to face it like a man and win! Or scream at the TV like the immature brat he was, which ever came first. _________________________________________________________________

Jack rubbed his eyes and stretched his back "A large please" He said then yawned "I need something to wake me up, dude." He opened his eyes wider for a second but his eye lids drooped again. "I need some energy and need it fast. I have a store to open here soon."

_________________________________________________________________ Avien nodded to his brother and then to the man, that ordered the coffee. He assumed from the statement of having to open his own store up soon that he would be taking it to go, so he didn't bother asking the magical question and just set him up with a styrofoam cup of joe. It was just as strong as Keith's but NOT spiked, "There you go," It was the grand opening week, so everything was free for the first whole week. One day wasn't enough since the shop had opened so suddenly. Word needed to creep across town that this place was good, and that not everyone got beat up by Clark when they came in here... just Keith because he picked a fight with him. "Hope it gives you the energy you need to start your day... have a nice one~" he said with a smile as he pushed the cup across the counter to the man before peering back over to Keith, ready to hear about this person that Clark reminded him of. Okay, so maybe Avien was a bit of a gossip. He couldn't help that he was curious about this. Not many people had ever said that Clark reminded of them of someone they knew. Sure, some say he reminded them of... you know what... never mind... let's not go there... it wasn't very nice and it lead to Clark beating them till they bled. "So, what's this person's name that's like my little brother?~" he leaned on the counter with a curious smirk, still keeping an ear open if any customers needed him. _________________________________________________________________
