He'd closed at work tonight, but where it meant for most people that their day was done, his evening had only just begun, though there were very little who could expect Xavier Avery to be a 'terrorist' - at least, not many that did not already know.
He'd dropped home quickly to leave his laptop, before doing a call - upon agreeing as to where he would meet Bell for patrol once Ainsley was asleep, he exited the building and henshined up.
It wasn't long, however, until a very characteristic feeling came upon him. He knew it well - there was a youma. This was the first time that there was a youma this close to where he lived, which was a little chilling. But yet it made sense - it wasn't like this block was magically protected due to his sheer presence.
He couldn't let a youma go unchecked, so he turned to go deal with it - though, now there was another senshi aura not too far from here... Perhaps this would be quick and he wouldn't even be late to meet up with Bellatrix.

Sailor Saiph was on the hunt. Too much had happened of late and her faith in her calling was rattled. And when she felt rattled, she usually looked for ways to retaliate that wouldn't hurt anyone innocent. Fortunately for her, she'd felt the presence of a youma and had decided to track it, looking for a safe place to attack it.
The senshi was in a poisonous mood. The sooner she could attack the youma and reduce it to dust, the happier she'd be. Saiph was intent on her prey. So intent that she'd nearly missed the feeling she'd come to associate as another senshi somewhere close by. Well, that might not be so bad. Two senshi meant a dead youma that much faster after all.

Themis' areas were rooftops, unless he was fighting - he tended to stick to them as much as he could, more-or-less blending into the darkness as he hopped from roof to roof with an ease that only got easier with time and experience. He only dropped down when the youma was in sight - it was some kind of horse-type creature, a new kind for the senshi of Noise, but he figured it couldn't be worse than spiders.
He was really starting to hate spiders by now.
The other senshi energy was coming closer, so he went ahead and charged in, hoping to keep the youma busy while his impromptu 'backup' was arriving.

Saiph was running, racing to get to the youma. And once she'd rounded the last street corner, she almost found herself wishing that she hadn't hurried. If someone took a horse and twisted it around to give it spikes, skeletal features and baggy, zombie-like skin, they might have come close to this monster's appearance. If they'd managed to inject their creation with some really awesome growth hormones to make it huge, they might have come closer. As it was, what she saw belonged in some SyFy movie. Not out wandering the streets of Destiny City.
As she took in the monster, she saw a smaller dark blur charging and decided that it was the senshi whose presence she'd felt. He's going to get himself killed, she thought as she began to move, hand glowing with energy as she readied her attack. Saiph didn't want to risk harming an ally, so when she aimed, it was for the 'horse's' hindquarters. Or more specifically, a few feet away from said hindquarters. She wanted to rattle the thing.
"Primal Bite!" she called and watched as the attack raced ahead, slicing and nipping at the horse thing's legs.

The call of her attack was enough to get Themis to back away - leaping from the creature's back, where he'd been working on harming it, and landing not so far away from Saiph.
His backup had arrived.
"I swear, these things get grosser the most of them I see." He muttered. "Can you plug your ears ? I can distract it." That was his power - nearly useless when in he was on his own, but rather useful in the presence of another that could make good of the window of opportunity.

Grinning with satisfaction as her attack managed to tear the thing up a bit, she gave a friendly nod to the other senshi. Though the grin altered to a slight frown as she was asked to cover her ears. Why cover her ears? How was he going to distract it? Set off a bottle rocket under its ugly nose?
Still, the Primordial senshi complied and jammed her fingers into her ears. Once she was certain that the only sounds she could hear were those of her own heart and breathing, she gave the other a nod that silently said, Go for it!

Saiph would soon figure out why she'd been asked to do this, even if the worse she would have gotten would have been a light headache - he still preferred to avoid it, whenever he could. Or at least warn the others.
"Themis Noise Amplification !"
An area of effect expended around them, and the youma stopped it's rampage. It looked left, right, as if confused by an odd mix of sounds that was hitting it head on, and wanting to find the source of said sound.
"Okay, go," The blonde whispered, and yet Saiph would have no problem hearing him. It was like if they'd been stuck near a speaker that had been cranked to 11.

For a moment, Saiph felt her eardrums vibrating as every sound around them rose in volume. No wonder he'd wanted her to cover her ears up. Still, watching the youma circle and twitch in confusion, she couldn't help but smile. Disoriented youma meant easier target to hit.
Removing her hands from her ears, she heard the magnified whisper and nodded. With a throwing motion, she fell back to her most reliable attack in terms of damage tot he enemy.
"Tail Thrash!"
Sure, her attack tore up the street a little, but it also tore up the bad guys. And, she was pleased to note, this strange horse youma was no exception. It didn't die, but it was now seriously injured and very confused. Not a bad combination at all.

It was another pavement-tearer, as he had affectionately dubbed Scylla - though this time it wasn't judge ******** tentacles that had come up to play. It was also highly effective.
"Oh nice." He whispered again, and again was easily heard. Really, some days he was a little jealous of senshi who had attacks that actually did a number on youma.
He couldn't move to finish it - not that and leave it in it's confused state, through, which meant this would be Saiph's job once more.

Saiph couldn't help the rueful smile that flickered across her face at the compliment on her attack. Certainly as far as she could tell, it was the first time anyone had dubbed the Tail Thrash nice. The best she could say about it was that it was terribly efficient when it came to property and bodily damage.
She watched the youma for a moment, debating on what the best way to finish it off would be. Cautiously moving a little closer to the injured monster, she raised a hand and whispered, "Primal Bite!"
This time, in the youma's current broken and wounded state, that slamming pressure combined with invisible slicing and tearing "teeth" managed to make its misbegotten life a lot more painful and a lot shorter.

A whole lot shorter indeed - Themis knew all the signs of a dying youma by now, so he moved out of the way before the beast exploded into a cloud of dust. Good thing, because his attack wouldn't have held for much longer, anyway - his arm was stiff when he finally let it down.
Quick and painless. The best way to get rid of youma.
"Thanks." He told her with a nod of the head. "Im Themis."

"Saiph", she replied briefly. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm sure."
Flashing Themis a dazzling smile, she prodded at the mound of youma dust with the toe of her boot, thinking. Themis' attack was useful. He seemed nice enough. She thought of the Tree hidden deep in the park and the idea that she and Corvus, Eridanus and Alshain had been working so hard on. Depending on how Themis' morality ran, they could use him and his abilities. But she had to feel him out first. They couldn't affrod to invite anyone in who didnt' agree with their philosophies.
"Out of curiosity," she spoke and looked up, catching Themis' eye, "do you think that the type of person who send send something like this," here she gestured to the ex-youma, "could ever be saved? You know, like turned back into something that wasn't evil?"
She'd carefully kept her tone as purely curious, as if it was a question that had just occured to her. Sometimes, it was best to not let others know her thoughts on the matter. Nor how long she'd been pondering it.

Her question, clearly, caught him off-guard just like the first time he had been asked about it. Well... did he ? Could it be done ? He'd honestly never stopped to ponder it.
"I don't know." He admitted. "I guess it depends on if they're doing this by their own will, or not." Really, he had no idea how the negaverse even worked - and how one came to go over that side. Were they awakened, pre-destined, much like senshi were ?

"A good point. I hadn't ever thought of that," Saiph conceded amiably. One more thing to consider. Though she was fairly certain that some people chose the Negaverse and took far too much enjoyment in the things they did, surely there were some who didn't. It was something for her to discuss with her cohorts later. But for now...
"Well," she said as she summoned her cell phone and quickly scanned Themis into the directory, "if you ever feel like philosophizing and talking about it, give me a ring. I'm genuinely curious about what other senshi think."
Okay, so maybe it was more like she needed to know which way the wind blew, but still. Glancing down at the youma's dusty remains, Saiph sighed. It was time to get back to her patroling. And now that her mood wasn't quite so bad, maybe it was time to check in with Hammie and see if he felt like ordering a pizza or something.

"Sure thing." Well, at least he hadn't blown the matter outright, right ? But this would definitively need more thought. After all, the negaverse had to be chosen in some way, right ? People just... didn't develop this kind of power on their own - and he'd definitively hadn't been aware of much before he'd himself been awakened...
Hm.
"And if you need help, just give me a call, allright ?" With those words, he summoned his cellphone to scan her in as well.
