In 17th century London, the Devoir family holds quite a bit of prestige. They're rich, noble, and own most of the city. But there's a dark secret hidden within the walls of their mansion. Cyrus Devoir, their son, isn't living up to their stands of how a Devoir should act. In their eyes, young Cyrus is going to bring about the end of their noble family. So what do Lisa and Jonathan Devoir do? They train their son to be perfect in every way.
Every day young Cyrus is watched by his parents. Should he do anything that isn't perfect and graceful to match with his family's name, he's punished. He goes through dance lessons, lessons for his manners, etiquette, and pretty much anything else Mr. and Mrs. Devoir can think of.
Now that his parents think he's learn enough not to completely disgrace them, they've decided to get Cyrus a loyal servant. Someone to do everything for him. Clean, cook, bathe, tie his shoelaces... But his lessons and punishments still come.
What will happen when this lord finds that not everyone is like his parents? What will happen when he finally finds companionship? And just when will this lord finally snap? Lord Cyrus Devoir will be the downfall of the Devoir family, but he'll have help...
