 He was walking, to the left of him was a forest and to the right of him was the ocean. He was drugging along a cliff side, walking along the edge without a care. He knew his balance would keep him from plunging over the side of the cliff. It had been quite some time since he had run into any sort of life, not that he was worried about it. The forest was always this quiet around the first snow.
They had better things to do, such as gathering food for the upcoming cold season. Though he had to admit to himself that he did rather miss the noise of the animals talking to each other. Since he traveled alone, there wasn't any conversation. The animals filled that aspect of his life. But currently he had to do without. He shrugged a shoulder. It could be worse he supposed. Maybe he'd start heading toward the lands of a tribe. He was acquaintances of the vixen Farah.
She resided in the Caledonia lands with her mate, Altair. Yeah, that sounded like a good idea to him. He'd go and visit her. That would soothe the loneliness that had crept into his heart. He turned into the forest and was making his way through the foliage with the faint noise of movement made his ear twitch. It had come from the right side of him. And it was far to large to be any of the woodland creatures. Unnaturally inquisitive he decided that he might as well investigate. What harm could it do?

Liesel had seated herself on a high branch, enjoying the sights of the forest below her. Basking in the beauty, she fell asleep, without a care in the world. It didn't matter too much that the snow slowly began to fall -- her fur protected her well enough -- or that ther was a curious lack of other creatures around -- not that she had seen anyone else for a while.
Her midday nap didn't last too long, though. This 'slowly falling' snow, along with her own weight, was a little too much for the branch to handle. Before she knew it, since she was asleep before, obviously, a loud crack woke her up. Still groggy from her nap, the black, yellow and white vixen lifted her head and slowly looked around, wondering what made the sound. Another sudden crack, and Liesel was tumbling down to the snow-covered forest floor.

Within the blink of an eye, Shuuha was planning to go visit his friend and in the next instant he was being slammed into with enough force to knock the wind from his lungs. The blow came from the side, where he had heard the noise before but he hadn't had enough time to actually see the cause of his pain. He was sprawled face first in the snow, his side throbbing in agony. but as the need to breathe was president, he rolled to the side and pulled his face from the snow and looked around. "Mm..."
He groaned unhappily as he searched around for the object of his current pain. it was then that he spotted the zebra looking vixen. "uh!" His eyes widened in surprise. "Oh no...." Quickly he rushed to her side, "Miss....are you...." He had been about to ask if she was alright and then figured given the circumstance that that might be a stupid question. "Are you injured?" Was a more relevant question.

Liesel slowly cam around, wondering why her landing had been so soft. Must have been the snow, she supposed. But snow was normally colder. Suddenly she felt the warm thing she had landed on move out from under her. Ah, there's the snow.
Opening her eyes slowly, she looked around and found the answers to her questions. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she began, "I must have fallen on you." Checking herself over quickly, Liesel stood up and adressed the fox again. "No I'm not injured. Are you? I know I fell on you.."

"Do not worry about me...." He smiled at her kindly, "I was just glad that I was here to break your fall...That could have been a lot worse off if I had not been down here...." His tail was wagging slightly. "It is good to know that you are not injured...I thought....when you didn't answer....It would have been so terrible..." he shook his head to clear his thoughts. He normally wasn't caught off guard like this.
"I apologize...I'm babbling....." He chuckled. "Excuse me Milady...."

Liesel padded the groud with her paw, and nodded. "True, the snow isn't as soft or thick as I had imagined it," she said. Liesel looked back up at him, and chuckled a little at his apology. "It really isn't a problem at all," she said with a smile. "I'm told that I talk a lot, as well, on occassion. I suppose it really depends..."

"Ah well I am not normally a talkative person at all..." He inclined his head toward her, "But the occasion called for it...." He smiled at the vixen. "But I am glad to hear that you are well..." He sat on the ground and looked around. "May I ask what caused you to fall in the first place?"
