[ rude & asinine comments are not welcome here ]
So I am back in the States for a little vacation to see my friends & family and such.
So I am trying to plan something with three of my very good friend to meet [because we haven't, or they haven't seen me rather for 3 & 1/2 months] and we have had to keep canceling for whatever reason. No ride, illness etc. etc.
So today I had to cancel on them because my sister had to go to the doctor for a check-up on her 'condition' & and my dad had to drive her there at 1 pm & said he would be there for 'a few hours.'
So our meeting time comes along and I have no ride, and I am not about to walk a mile & a half in the cold to go somewhere with pissy friends [they were kinda angry because I canceled on them once before.] One of my 'friends' chats me on Gaia & 'so&so wants you on Facebook, now!'. So I go on Facebook to chat with them you know 'I am really sorry that I couldn't make it today, how about tomorrow?' [keep in mind I am on break & they still have school.] They get really mad at me for canceling. It is like what the ********? They are acting like I don't want to see them. Like I am not doing everything I can to see some of my best friends for the first time in months. Like I like canceling on them over & over again [we have had many issues & had to postpone this for about 5 days]
She those all these rude comments at me and I just say like, ******** off. But I really don't know how to feel about the whole thing. D they not like me anymore? Not like that I am making tons of new best friends in Malta? Not trust me on my mindset on the situation? I am just so conflicted right now...
[/end rant/vent]

is a mile and a half really that far? My sister walked that far to school everyday for a couple years. I take a 45 minute walk to my friends all the time, usually I rope him into meeting me half way though. Just bundle up and no more reason to rant^^except about how cold you face is because of the wind. Unless it's above zero...which I think is thirty Fahrenheit

Yeah but little do you two know. I am quite a lazy person xD. And the only reason I dislike cold weather so much is because my feet and hands get cold, no other body part does, but my hands and feet just freeze at any temperature below 70 F.. xD also, I partially didn't want to walk because I shouldn't make an effort to see them if they are just going to be rude and all 'oh well enjoy your flight home then Jay!' rolleyes
I also detest walking for upwards of 25 minutes razz xD

Yes I assumed that, but I'm not going to condone thier rudeness but wouldn't they hvae been less rude if you had show up instead of pushing your hang out to anther day?
And it couldn't possibly take 25 minutes to walk that...could it?

It was about 4 when they got mad. I would've came at about 4:30 or so.. then we wouldn't have that much time before people start to eat dinner, among other things, then another 30 min back in the cold, during rush hour back home :p. I forgot to mention I live on a super busy street during rush hour razz , but I don't want to bore you with the details of why it was pointless [or why I didn't want to lmao] to walk... smile

Well its sad that the short time you have in the US is putting pressure on your friendships. However, do not feel bad if there are legitimate reasons for canceling plans and their lack of understanding is their fault then. If they can't see past that, they were not that great of friends to begin with.
You live in Malta now, and that's where you should focus on. If you need more friends then look for them there. In life, we move around all the time, and sometimes we have to lose the friends we have. If you can keep them, then perfect but also understand that this is a natural progression.
