. Qi An - 悽安 - Silk Oolong .

轉朱閣,低綺戶,照無眠。
不應有恨,何事長向別時圓?
人有悲歡離合,月有陰晴圓缺,此事古難全。
但願人長久,千里共嬋娟

Approximate Translation:
Circling red chambers, low in the doorway, shining on the sleepless.
Surely you bear us no hate, why then must you excel at being whole when we are parted?
Men have sorrows, joys, partings, unions, the moon has been shaded, clear,
waxed, waned, such things irreconciliable from ancient times.
I but hope we two may long endure, sharing the beautiful moon a thousand miles apart.

This accompanying piece of writing, in view of the moon-related silk oolong legend,
is the last two verses from a lyric poem written by the poet-statesman Su Shi during the
Mid-Autumn Festival of 1076 C.E., regarding the moon in pining for his long-absent brother.

My one and only beloved Chrystali did the extremely unbelievable thing of plonking down actual money for me when Pithy Twigs opened RL$ Customs briefly - so I may worship the shop ridiculously and this is the fulfilment of a longstanding unrealistically moony pipedream, but that's no reason to be so good to me, Chrys! ;A; It just so happened that the beautiful teacup landed in my hands around what we refer to as 'temple-season', where we spend long tracts of time down at the temple doing rituals for our dearly departed mom, which depresses me greatly. Unable to resist the serendipity, I decided to name my new Silk Oolong Pithy Qi An - 'peace from grief', a phonetic reversal of my mom's Chinese name (as well as a near-homonym of the phonetic reversal of the region the tea is from), and went with the verses of one of her favourite poem-songs that I remember well from my childhood. /tmi And so - Qi An!

Once there was a teacup Jun wouldn't let go of...

...and one day it became a bunny Jun wouldn't stop squishing.

Tough luck - but, hey, wouldn't you? X3
Feel free to squish him too!

When Qi An first emerged from the cup, my main (and rather more human-shaped) bunny-boy Julien was decidedly unimpressed [read: insanely jealous]. That was then. Now Qi An practically lives in his room and can usually be found either hopping curiously after Julien, tripping people up, or nestling in unexpected places. Every now and then he disappears for moderate tracts of time, eventually turning up none the worse for wear. Nobody knows why.*

Oh, but Qi An is not alone in his Pithiness in Julien's domain -

- he is sometimes accompanied by Chrys' early gift to my other bunny.

We're all very happy, really.
