In the case of the Wizarding World of Gaia’s Entertainment Subforum,
a “fanthread” is a thread that hosts the majority of
discussion and fangirling on a particular fandom/sport/celebrity/etc,
something like a “home base.”
Though we are a Harry Potter guild,
our interests range from screaming video game commentators to the doomed Broadway rendition of Spider Man,
and as a community we enjoy discussing and squealing over these topics.
Fanthreads provide an organized headquarters to do it in.
While fanthreads do not have to be a major undertaking
(take, for example, the simplicity of the Queer as Folk fanthread)
we do have a few requirements and guidelines for you to consider when making one.
