Each participating player will be able to play two rounds a day.
You don't have to go in any kind of order. You just have to make sure you take your turns at some point each day.
If you miss a day, you can't catch it up later, but you can continue to play -- down two rounds!
The Basic Rules:
Every time you roll you must apply you score to one of the thirteen categories on your score board. You may use each category only once. This means that you may have to take a 0 score for some of your categories!
Goal of the Game:
The goal of the game is to have the highest score. In order to do this, you can gamble for higher scores or play it safe and take what you have when you think you can fill a hard-to-pull-off category!
Rolling the Dice:
Roll 5 6-sided dice. After you have rolled, you can either take your roll as it stands or reroll all or some of the dice. You can reroll two times, either replacing all your dice or only a few. Then you must take what you have and apply it to one of the categories on your scoreboard.
Scores:
In the first half of your scoreboard, your score depends on the number of dice you roll. This means, for example, that in the 'aces' category, if you roll 3 aces you get three points.
................Aces: Each ace is 1 point.
................Twos: Each 2 is 2 points
................Threes: Each 3 is 3 points
................Fours: Each 4 is 4 points
................Fives: Each 5 is 5 points
................Sixes: Each 6 is 6 points
................3 of a kind: Add total of all dice
................4 of a kind: Add total of all dice
................Full House: 25 points [A pair and a 3 of a kind]
................Sm. Straight: 30 points [Four consecutive numbers]
................Lg. Straight: 40 points [Five consecutive numbers]
................YAHTZEE: 50 points [Five of a kind]
................Chance: Add total of dice [Any roll you would like]
The Fourteenth Roll:
There are thirteen categories, but you'll be rolling 14 times. Your 14th roll -- only the last roll, no other roll -- can replace any one category on your score card, at the very end of the game. You can put this 14th roll wherever you want, or you can toss it and keep everything as is. This is up to you!
Other Rules:
Don't delete any rolls ever! One of our colorists is a staff member, and if you delete a post, she'll see it. If you do, you'll be disqualified.
Please also link all of your score tallies to their respective rolls. This way, if someone calls you out or is confused by where a score came from, you have evidence without having to backread through who-knows-how-many pages or your posts.
The Winner:
At the end of the event, tally up your score. The person with the most points will win! In the case of a tie, the kimeti will be twinned, and you'll have to decide who gets the doe and who the buck. Additional prizes may yet be offered!
The Scoreboard:
Every time you roll, update your scoreboard and post it as well!
