Thamin Richmon's gaze snapped from the stars the second her herd the blue mares voice. It had been a long time since last he had seen her, and from the looks of things she was healing well. The corners of Richmons mouth curled up slightly, the closest thing to a smile for the emotionally challenged soquili. "Not to the clouds, Wrath; to the heavens..." Richmon said with a nod. He had come to accept that physical contact was necessary for the mortals of this world, thus he didnt jump at the nudge, but he did turn slightly to keep his distance afterward; old habits were hard to kill. "I've always looked to them; you've simply never caught me doing so." He paused and looked her over fully, making sure there was no harm to her. "How have you been? It has been some time."

Lolli McHotpants Akahi smiled warmly at Richmon but shook her head as he turned from her ever so slightly. It was true that old habits died hard, and though she was tempted to she didn't point out that in some ways he was being a hypocrite himself. Instead she huffed some her hair out of her face and let her gaze wander over Richmon as well. "You may find that I'm not Wrath quite as much anymore. New and wonderful soquili keep entering my life, forcing me out of my old ways, and old friends keep popping up to remind me of who I once was." Before she'd had a wrathful bone in her body. "I suppose what you say is true. It seems that before now I was always the one looking up, while you came to me from above." Was she waxing poetic at Richmon now? "Anyway, I am doing well. Healthy. And what about you O' My Judge?"

Thamin Richmon furrowed a brow as Akahi shook her head at him. He was curious as to why she was doing so, but the question did not ebb from his maw. Instead he simply nodded, listening intently as she spoke of all that was happening with her. It was good that she was meeting others, good that she was able to accept both the old and the new as one good thing. But... He closed his eyes for a second, remembering the night she had called him a friend, pondering still as to what it meant. From what she said, how she looked, and how she sounded her healing was done, she didnt need him anymore. "It seems as though you will no longer need to look to the skys..." Richmon said in his usual tone, taking on his usual neutral expression once more. He had meant to say more, but he couldnt think of what to say. For once in his mortal life he was at a loss of words. Curious it was, as Richmon was never at a loss of words.

Lolli McHotpants "Just because I don't need to look to the stars doesn't mean I don't want to, Richmon." To any being that had experience holding back thoughts and stifling feelings Richmon's expression wasn't quite as neutral as he thought it was-- And Akahi had a lot of such experience. So when the stallion next to her insinuated that she didn't need him anymore the blue mare got a niggling sensation in the back of her mind that there might be more there. But not knowing Richmon as well as he knew her, she didn't know how to approach it. It worried her that in all he'd done for her, and as much as she'd grown to care about him, she didn't have the slightest idea of who he really was. "You didn't answer me anyway. How have you been since we last saw each other? Have you met anyone new?"

Thamin So being a friend meant staying in touch even when one did not need to; or at least that is a part of the meening that he interpreted from Akahi's comment. He could accept that, and despite his normal lack interaction with those he's clensed after he's done so he was rather grateful that she seemed to still want his presence around. "Then I'll continue to drop from the sky to see you..." He ruffled his wings, fluffing them up to his sides under his cloak before dropping his head a little. He had forgotten to answer her question, and it deserved an answer. "I do not know how I have been. I can only assume I've been well, though no good or bad has happened. I've done little since we last met, seen many but have spoken to very few. It seems I've only landed when there was a physical need to and others normally dont approach me when I do."

Lolli McHotpants The smile that spread across Akahi's muzzle was bright, genuine, and crinkled her nose. Of all the soquili she knew and had met, Richmon had been the first to step up and not only tell her that she was acting atrociously but he'd been the first to offer to help her get out of the hole she was digging herself. For a long time he'd been the only one willing to help her. She didn't what he called that where he was originally from(though she guessed he called it 'work') but to her that was what being a friend was. He had unwittingly become her friend just by offering her a healing hoof and a wing to cry on. Now it seemed as though he was in need of a friend. "You're one of us regular soq now, sir. You know as well as I do that mortals need to reconcile their feelings and learn to accept who they are." She reached out with her nose to bump him again, but stopped and pulled back before the softness of her face met his wing. She also wanted to say more but had very little to go off of- How did you help someone learn to open up when for so long they hadn't had emotions to think about?

Thamin Richmon hadnt budged when Akahi head moved to nudge him, hadnt even twitched when he eyed the expression of happiness and pondered what she was feeling to cause such an expression; no, there was no reactions due to these, but her statement actually made him flinch. He knew he was mortal, he knew he had said it, he knew.... But no one had ever mentioned it out loud before to him. It was a shock to hear another call him a mortal. "I..." He muttered, pausing before he even started and snapped his gaze back to the stars. He blinked a few times before dropping his gaze to the ground. How did one respond to her statement. It implied that he had emotions, and that he hadnt accepted his mortality. The only emotion he had felt and had been able to match with the emotions of others was sadness; he didn't consider gratitude to be an emotion after all. But... "I apologize." Richmom managed to mumble out as he turned his head once more to look at the pale blue mare. She had indeed come a long ways from the Wrathful mare he had met two winters ago. "I didnt mean to jump." And in fact he hadnt, it had just happened. "I was simply unguarded to such a statement and as such wasnt expecting it."

Lolli McHotpants This time the mare did reach out to Richmon and with the lightest touch placed her nose against his cheek. If he'd been anyone else, a soquili that had been born and raised a mortal, she would have called him an idiot. It would have been playful, of course, but considering who she was talking to- Well, she didn't think he'd get the joke necessarily. "I think that might be the first time you've stuttered in my presence." She stated it with a smile and a light tone, but bluntly as well. It was the first time she'd ever truly seen him ... Was flustered the word she wanted to use? "For that matter, I don't know if I can recall a time you've apologized for something." Looking up to the sky herself finally, she took a deep breath in through her nostrils and then slowly let it out. Allowing herself to be distracted for a few seconds as she watched her warm breath create little puffs in the winter air she smiled. "You don't need to be sorry for being alarmed or surprised. It happens." It's natural, she wanted to say.

Thamin Richmon furrowed his brow as he looked at Akahi, listening her every word. She spoke as though it wasnt anything out of the ordinary. Had he honestly been around her so much that it was normal? Or were there more like him that mad his... predicament... more natural? Yet again he thought too much into it; but then again he thought too much into everything. As her frozen breath drifted out into the chilled air Richmon came to realize just how cold it may actually be. He lifted a wing, hesitating for a moment as he fought the urge to withdraw it back to his side, fought the thought that physical contact should not happen, and convinced himself that it was necessary for the physical safty of the mare before him. Cold like this could make her sick, and it was because of him and their conversation that she most likly had not sought out shelter from the cold yet. Once convinced he let his wing fall over her sides like a downy blanket. "It felt only right to apologize..." Richmon said afterward. He looked to the stars once more in silence for a moment, trying to force the question that hadnt left his mind since the day he woke in this world from his lips. "I... often wonder; Why was i sent to this world? What did I do?"

Lolli McHotpants She was content to shift her eyes and her thoughts between the sky and the stallion next to her. From day one, even though she'd spent their entire first meeting screeching at him like a banshee, he'd managed to get under her skin and see herself for what she was being. It made talking to him strange and fascinating and relaxing. All at once. So when he draped his ginormous wings over her body, forcing them to be just a little bit closer in order to not be awkward, she didn't know how to react. Was this affection from him or was he so confused this was the reaction? It didn't even cross her mind that he thought she was uncomfortable in the cold. Still, it had been a long time since Akahi had felt warm and strong wings drape across her back and she felt like she was being welcomed into a special place- Whether or not that was the actual case. "If you felt like it was the right thing to do, then it must have been." She said with a small nod. "It just worried me that you were only doing so because you felt obligated." As Richmon struggled with saying what he wanted to, she lifted her face to watch him closely as he thought. She thought that, for just a brief moment, she could see terrible sorrow in his eyes. It didn't stop her from being slightly surprised when he voiced his loss at why he would be in the lands that he was now. Shuffling a few steps closer to him she offered him a shy smile, a smile she thought she'd long since outgrown. "My mother once told me when I was a very new filly that everyone is put where they are for a reason. We don't have to know what that reason is- Just have faith that the spirits are leading us down the path that will benefit us the most."

Thamin It was almost as though Richmon could feel Akahi relax beneath his wing, and as she shuffled closer he assumed it was to get warmer. He had no clue how she was feeling right then; he could sense confusion though and for a moment he wondered how she could be confused. Perhaps him draping his wing over her had been the wrong thing to do and it was too much physical contact? But if that was so then why had she edged closer? Need for warmth may have just outweighed personal boundaries he concluded. "But just because one doesnt have to know the reason doesnt mean that the question doesnt arise. I cant help but feel as though I did something to anger Him above, did something to displease Him and call His wrath down upon me." Richmon said quietly as he tilted his head even more to look the mare by his side in the face. He closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. "I believe deeply that I was sent here for a reason, and I hope it for a good cause; but I cant help but ponder the possibilities."

Lolli McHotpants "Purgatory." Akahi trailed it along her tongue after Richmon. She's heard of such a place, her father must have mentioned it once, and it shocked her that he could come from a place such as that. But then it made sense as well. She wanted to ask what the other possibilities were, was helping her not enough? But that seemed so outright rude and selfish- She would be hurt if someone asked such of her, so she assumed that the white stallion would be as well. Not knowing what else to say she let the silence hang in the air. It felt awkward to her but she didn't know what else to do. Looking up at him she caught him looking her over and he seemed... She didn't know what he seemed. "Is something wrong, Judge? Err, Richmon?"

Thamin "Are you alright?" Richmon blurted out as Akahi finally looked up and asked him if something was wrong. "You seemed troubbled..." He added, refering to her deep breathing and clenching jaw of before. He shifted his weight on his hooves slightly, looking her over once more.

Lolli McHotpants Akahi jumped a little when he blurted out his question and upon settling down started to laugh. It was quiet at first and then open and hearty and healthy. It was a happy laugh. It hadn't dawned on her that he would think there was something wrong with her, and it probably hadn't dawned on him that she was just worrying about him. "I--" She opened her mouth to say something, but didn't know what to follow it with. "It's just that I was worried that maybe." Augh. She'd never had problems expressing how she felt before and though that trait had gotten her into trouble when she became angry at least every one knew where she stood. "Do you think I'm silly for wondering if you were sent here for me? That I'm selfish.."

Thamin Richmon pondered it for only a brief seccond, not needing to go over all posibilities in order to know the answer. "No, I do not think it silly of you to question such a thing." He stated firmly with a matter of fact nod. "And greed would be your sin if you were selfish, but that is not the case. You have asked me to stay and accompany you for a while, but you have never demanded it nore have you tried to keep me all to your self." He paused after his explination, thinking for a moment. "If I may ask, what is worry?"
