Raha and Fatia were off romping around together, letting their kids have time to themselves without their embarassing parents. Fatia had the morning off, as there weren't as many cubs around right now and the other nannies were probably busy helping train the younger ones that would take their place in the future. Raha had wiggled out of his responsibilities, at least until dusk, and so the two of them were spending some well deserved time together. Well, maybe not well deserved in a hard-working-impossible sort of way. It was just nice to get away from their offspring without having to worry about anything. Besides, it was such a nice afternoon!

"Let's look around," Fatia said, slowing her pace to a leisurely walk. "At what?" Raha snorted. "I think we've seen all we can see." Fatia only smiled. "Not always, silly."

Yu Jie didn't know why she was feeling nervous. There was nothing to be nervous about. Yet the fact that she still felt like she hadn't learned much of hunting before she gained her jewels bothered her. She was an adult now, and yet... oh?

Jade-coloured eyes watched the pair that were romping off together. She recognized Fatia, as she was one of the nannies that had been around when she was young. Yu Jie pondered her actions for a moment, weighing options of positive and negative. Would it be beneficial to approach her?

After seeing no negatives other than continuing to fret over silly things, the white and black lioness slowly made her way to the pair, not wishing to interrupt anything.

Fatia was blissfully ignorant, but it wasn't the same for Raha. While he was no Guardian, learning to hunt, and following where the herds took you, he had learned a little about being aware of your surroundings. As such, while he didn't notice her immediately, it was apparent that the lioness was taking her time in approaching them. Watching, and waiting for something. He notified Fatia in as subtle of a way as he could, but he didn't know what Fatia would do with that information.

The tan female popped her head up, and grinned. "Yu Jie!" she called out. The black head fluff and white tail was a little unique on the girl that looked a lot like her family. "Come here, silly!"

Raha rolled his eyes. Sometimes he missed the more timid Fatia, but he wouldn't say that out loud. It was good that she was so comfortable now.

Ah, so she had recognized her. Yu Jie couldn't decide if this made things easier, or more difficult. With a soft sigh, she continued on her slow, soft pace towards the pair. Their was no escaping this now.

"Hello, Miss Fatia," Yu Jie said with a bow to her head. "And I presume your husband?" She had known that Fatia was married, and even with children. Yu Jie had sort of grown up with them, even if she was a touch older than them.

"Sorry to have interrupted you, I was just curious as I was left wandering in my thoughts..."

"Oh! Yes, this is Raha. He's a hunter, actually, just like you." Fatia hadn't seen much of Yu Jie anymore, because she had grown and had her own set of duties she was responsible for. She was grateful to be able to speak to her again, even with Raha the horrible right next to her!

Raha was a little surprised. Yu Jie was a beautiful girl, but...she seemed to have a strange mannerism that Raha couldn't quite pinpoint. Perhaps it came from her parents, or perhaps she was just a little...odd. Raha would keep his opinions to himself, though. "Ah, a huntress, eh? I'm sure you've been learning well, there's many skilled hunters here." He knew he was one himself, but the Pridelands always produced strong hunters to keep the pride full and growing.

Yu Jie perked up at that. Well, perhaps she should feel a little more apprehensive because she didn't know him, but as he was Fatia's husband, it just seemed to make everything feel...easier. Better? Something around there.

"I would feel very blessed if you would train me a bit, Raha," she said with a small, if polite bow. "I've been having trouble since I've joined the ranks, but too quiet to ask for assistance. I believe having someone we know mutually will make me a bit more confident..." In perhaps actually being helpful in a hunt, and not lingering towards the back. Yu Jie sighed.

Fatia giggled as Raha looked a little...taken aback. And speechless. Fatia had to take a moment to swallow the rest of her giggles.

"Oh, Yu Jie, I'm sure that he'd be happy to teach you. He must just be too flattered that someone as pretty as you is asking him for help!" That was the moment that Raha realized what his mate had just said. "Hey!" he glared at her for teasing him.

"I'd be happy to help you, Yu Jie. I'm just...not used to anyone asking me for help!" He grinned at her, his tail flopping behind him. "Would it work well to meet later, before dusk? I'm sure we can go over a few things and try to hunt with the two of us. Then we can really figure out what it is you need."

"Oh, thank you!" Yu Jie wasn't sure how well she was going to do in this venture, but she knew that she needed to be a more vital asset for the pride. Though they had a decent number of hunters, she wanted to be one to rely on. To be....somewhat important. Help feed the scribes and guardians and nannies and the youngsters. She was going to do this, and it was going to work out.

"I think I know where you linger in the late afternoon. I shall seek you out at that point, and we can complete our plans for the evening." She felt herself smile as she look up at Raha, and back to Fatia. Always being taught...would it always be like that? Learning wasn't so bad, but there was a reason that she wasn't a scribe.

Raha nodded. "That sounds fair. We will both see you then, I guess." He was a little worried about this, as he wasn't accustomed to teaching, but how hard could it be? He was good at learning, and being on the opposite end of the spectrum couldn't be too difficult.

Fatia was just glad that Raha would get out. Even though he could be more social, he usually kept to himself and the family. Even with Yu Jie's...differences, it would be good for Raha to have a problem set before him and he would have to unravel in and fix it. Yu Jie would be quite entertaining to hear from about how he was doing, after they started.

"We shall see you later, and perhaps some of the kids will be around," Fatia winked. Pity that the boys were a little too young, Fatia liked Yu Jie. "Farewell!" they both called out as they made their way to continue the early afternoon together.

"I agree, I will see you both later." She blinked owlishly at the wink that Fatia gave her, as she wasn't quite sure what her old nanny meant by that. Was she planning something? Hopefully not some sort of meal, otherwise Yu Jie might not feel like hunting on a full stomach. Well, no, she wouldn't really be hungry at all to go back out.

With a sigh, she watched the two of them leave. Her tail dragged behind her as the white and black lioness wondered what she was going to do with herself until dusk. Perhaps find one of her siblings, or catch a short nap...Yu Jie only wished she had something better to fit in her time. Determining that wandering again would be best, she continued along, her slow pace guiding her towards the temple.
