Re-Creating your Avatar
If you would like to change something more complicated about yourself, such as your eyes or skin, you can simply choose to delete your avatar.
There is a common glitch where users cannot delete their avatar's through the new delete button. Here is the link to your old profile page to delete your avatar...

NOTE: You will not lose any of your items, your username, or anything else when you delete your avatar. You will simply sport a 'red x' where your avi should be until you choose to re-create it. You can also get a new hair style while your re-create your avatar, but only the more simple styles will be provided. For more complicated styles, go to the Salon in Durem.

Step 1: To delete your character, you must simply go to your Dress Up page, and click on the small button that says Delete Character at the bottom of the list at the bottom left hand corner of your screen...
Step 2: This will pop up a small table that will ask you if you really wish to delete your character, and then ask for your password...
Step 3: After you have confirmed your deletion, you will recieve a message saying this...
Step 4: If you choose to simply wander Gaia for a while without an avatar, you avi will simply show as a black shadow until you have fixed it. If you soon find that you would like to re-create your avi, then go to your Profile page and click on the 'Customize Me' button. This will show you that your usually place where your avi would be, has turned into a link to re-create your avi...
Step 5: Once you have done this, a page will pop up giving you the options to re-create your avi...
Note: If you have special store bought hair, you won't be able to get it back once you have deleted your avi. You will have to go back to the salon and re-buy it after your deletion. And you can only delete you avi so many times before Gaia starts to charge you every time you delete your character.
