 Rua was contently sitting on a large, flat rock he'd managed to find. It had been a day or two since he'd last spoken with the pup named Glory, and he hoped she was doing well. They were scheduled for some special 'Hero' training today, and he wondered vaguely if she would come or not. He wasn't sure if he had come across well to her, and it troubled him some. But then he was distracted by an injured butterfly flying wobbily past his nose. He sighed and looked down for a moment. He could kill it and put it out of its misery, but that didn't seem right. Instead, her sat up a little straighter. His rainbowy mane fluttered in the wind, and his glowy eyes sparkled under the sun. He made quite the figure perched up on that rock.
He waited there quietly, trying to look as heroic and noble as possible. He did a pretty good job of it too until some pollen got into his nose and he sneezed violently.

 If pressed, Glory Storm wouldn't be able to tell why precisely she was bothering to meet up with the rainbow-maned wolf. She thought he was something of a joke, really, and wasn't totally convinced he knew what he was talking about....about anything.
But, nevertheless, the heroic wolf had planted the seed of something in Glory's mind that had taken root and flowered. Somehow, perhaps without meaning to, the older wolf had made a life-altering impact in the pup's worldview.
No longer just a puppy -- no longer just a tomboy and sometimes-bully -- Glory Storm was now a crusader for justice. She just had to learn how to do it.
So, the tree-legged walked rather boldly through the trees, looking up at her tutor with a quirked brow. "Allergic to butterflies?" She asked, dryly.

Rua sneezed one more time before he even noticed Glory was there. He rubbed his nose against one paw before he snorted and stood up. He arched his back and chuckled as he looked down at the pup. He grinned wryly. "No, no. Just this pollen makes me sneeze sometimes." He responds and flicks his brightly colored tail. He was very pleased that she'd shown up. Part of him had expected her to not even come. He was a little odd after all, and he did know it on some unconscious level. Then he forgot all about that and grinned. "Are you ready to begin then Miss Glory?" He says and grins broadly. Oh, he had all sorts of fun things planned for her.

"I am," she said, stretching her own little puppy muscles. She was destined to be a stocky thing, short-legged and stout. There wasn't very much girly or petite about her. "What are we doing?"
She straightened herself and stood at attention at his paws, gazing up at him. She was still quite grateful that, for the most part, Conk didn't know any of this was going on. She'd never be able to stand all the teasing.

His grin got bigger, if that was possible. "Try and knock me off this rock." He says and stands there amiably. he looked large and immovable, especially to a young pup like her. But he had a plan, which he wouldn't share until afterwords. He flicked his tail again and braced himself slightly, but otherwise didn't seem to put much effort into staying up there. "See if you can bring down something bigger than yourself." he says vaguely.

Her brows raised. Was he inviting her to hit him?
Oh, these lessons were going to be more fun than she thought!
Without second thought, gleefully, she fell into a crouch. Her eyes narrowed to slits, her tongue poked out the side of her maw. She said nothing, and, a rump-wiggle later, and was airborne.
She aimed for his legs, for two reasons. One, because she wanted to sweep them out from under him. Two, because she couldn't really reach much else. So, she ducked her head down and slammed her shoulder into his back legs.

Rua's ears twitched and a smile creeped across his muzzle. His seriousness disappeared as he suddenly preformed an odd maneuver. He planted his front paws hard against the ground, then kicked his hid legs up and tucked them against his belly. he did it juuust when her head touched his legs. Then, with a grunt, he let gravity pull his weight back down and he let his furry belly land on the pup. He chuckles and effectively pins her. "Come on, you can do better than that." He playfully teases.

"Ach!" She yelped, muffled by his furry belly as she fell off-balance beneath him, feeling smothered. "Argh! Geroff! Geroff!" She flailed -- although not very well, seeing as most of her was pinned by him -- and tried her best to paw at him.

He chuckles in his deep voice and grins broadly before he lifts himself up just enough so she could wriggle out. "Expect the unexpected." He says and flicks his tail in a half wag. "I'm still on the rock." He notes. And indeed, his large bulk was still firmly planted on the stone. It seemed the slightly off kilter wolf knew some fight moves as well from his stunt earlier.

"Well no duh you're still on the rock," she muttered, crawling free of him and giving her little body a good solid shake. That had certainly been...well...unexpected. And a little unfair. She pouted a bit. Glory hadn't expected him to play dirty, and that changed the measure of this game entirely. Somehow, the odd-looking wolf was less of a joke now, and her resolve hardened.
She whirled around then, rather rashly, and snapped at his still-wagging tail.

"That I am." He chuckles and smiles at her teasingly. His ears twitched when he hears her go behind him and he turns his head to watch her. He saw the slightest twitch of her muscles and he flicked his tail up and out of the way and gave her a good smack on the nose with the fluffy appendage. He yawned hugely in mock sleepiness. "Mm, come on little miss, you can do better than that." He chuckles.

Now she was angry.
Glory Storm was a rather short tempered wolf to begin with, and she was especially easy to anger when she was disappointed. Having come to this training session with a very different image in her mind of how it would be, the stocky young femme was now exceedingly annoyed with the proceedings. Getting a face full of rainbow-colored fur was the last straw.
Puffed up and agitated, she backed away from his tail and circled him. Thinking was making her brain hurt. Glory was many things, but a strategic-thinker she was not, and it was painfully obvious now.
In a last-ditch effort -- now not even thinking about trying to knock him off the rock, but only to spread her indignity around a bit -- she took a running leap, jumping forward and hitting the rock with her paws just long enough to jump again. She bounced up, as though she were aiming for his ear, but changed her mind at the last moment and dove for the horn around his neck.

Rua was pleased with how this was going. Hopefully he'd get her to see things in a different way, and to think about her actions a little more. That's why when he saw her circle him he readied himself to dodge. His body was relaxed though and he didn't seem too concerned.
His ear twitched when she lunged, but his eyes narrowed as he went for his necklace, the one part of him he was sensitive about. A low growl escaped him and he stood up fully, throwing her trajectory off and letting her smack into his chest. He bobbed his head down and grabbed her scruff just a tad roughly in his jaws. His tail twitched in agitation before he dropped her. "Keep trying." He says quietly, his good humor now gone.

Ooooh, he was mad. She could tell, and it excited her. About time the playing field was even. Her tail gave an agitated snap, and she bounced off of him and returned to her paws, sizing him up stiff-legged.
"Losing your temper?" She teased. Glory still had yet to learn that you never poke a sleeping dragon.
She jumped again, aiming higher this time -- aiming to n** at his ears, thinking that perhaps if he jerked out of the way she could get the necklace. It was a clumsy feint, but she jumped well, and determination burned in her eyes.

Rua wasn't very cheerful anymore. His pendant was important for him, and someone could only touch it if he gave them permission. Even then it sent shivers of disgust down his spine. A very, very soft growl rumbled in his chest. he would never hurt the pup though, but he would be firm if need be.
As he saw her crouch and lunge, his eyes narrowed in calculation. She was aiming higher this time, that was easy to tell. So he weaved out of the way, his ears twitching a little before he tried to scoop the pup's scruff into his maw to paralyze her painlessly.
