Aglakti: Certainly sister, your body seems to be changing as well. Your physique looks stronger than mine *he grinned sheepishly, his tail gently wagging*.
Mahuika: ...Really? *looks down at herself, actually a little flattered that her training had come to something* Well, um...you're looking pretty good, too.
Aglakti: *He gave her a reassuring nod and sat back on his haunches, his muzzle still pointed down modestly.* Thank you. I'm not much of an impressive physical specimen. I suppose that makes sense considering I've avoided the training lessons.
Mahuika: *is feeling a bit out of her depth with all these big words* Well, that could be it. *brow furrows, also a little baffled as to how anyone could -not- want to train, since that was just about her favorite thing to do* ...What -have- you been doing?
Aglakti: Ah...*he looked around nervously. Honestly, he wasn't sure how his family would approach him. His father's legacy was this pack and this pack consisted of assassins. It seemed his children were destined to follow his mother and father's example but he, no, he could not. The idea of killing another wolf was deplorable, although he accepted that was the way of life of his fellow pack members. But for himself, he could hardly eat meat regularly and still think of himself a good wolf*. I've been up to...various things. Please don't tell anyone, but I don't want to be an assassin.
Mahuika: *tilts her head, waiting for him to spit it out already. Didn't want to be an assassin?* I won't tell, *she says quickly, and means it -- who knows what sort of trouble he could get into -- but she still looks a bit stymied* ...But...what else would you do?
Aglakti: *He gave a little relaxed sigh* Thank you, sister. *He gave a thoughtful expression.* I'm not sure how helpful I am, actually. I, well, I've been doing some drawing, artwork, and I like making things, but I don't know how that will help the pack.
Mahuika: Making things? can I see? *can't even imagine having the patience to sit still that long.* Maybe it doesn't matter if you help the pack, as long as you do what makes you happy. *brow furrows. that didn't come out right at all. But it's how she felt -- she trained because it was the only thing she really enjoyed doing, not because she was trying to fit in*
Aglakti: Maybe...I don't know if that will pass. But you make a point. *He paused, looking back behind him.* Oh, ah, sure, let's see...*He darted off, shuffling behind a bush. As much as he hated to do so, he had hidden away his creation. Pulling it out now, he trotted back to his sister and sat it down. It was a simple little thing made from an old deer hide, twigs, and human leather he had come across.* You see this here? You can stick food or other things in this and carry it by grabbing the leather. It's not very strong though. It'll fall apart if you put too much into it.
Mahuika: *not sure what he means by pass, but sure hopes it does -- for both their sakes* Oh! that's...that could be useful, I think. *she leans forward to sniff at it thoughtfully* you can put some food in there so you wouldn't have to carry it home yourself. Leaves your mouth free to bite things.
Aglakti: Exactly! *he said excitedly, so very relieved his sister seemed to respond positively to his creation.* But I don't know how everyone else will take it. It almost doesn't seem, well, you know, natural. Maybe traditional is a better word. It'll be a useful tool I think once I tinker with it some more and produce something that can hold more weight, but what will be hard is convincing everyone it is practical.
Mahuika: ...No, I think it's totally useful. *still a little off-put by how smart he sounds* I mean...I always want to carry my dinner AND still be able to bite things. I'd use it. *who wouldn't? it was the ideal tool for an assassin-on-the-run!*
Aglakti: *He couldn't hold back the grin and the wagging tail that came with the confidence Mahuika had given him.* If you like it, it may have a chance. I'm glad, thank you Sister. I have other ideas, but none I've made prototypes for.
Mahuika: ...Prototypes? *doesn't even know what he's talking about, but it sounds very impressive*
Aglakti: Ah, yes, *his eyes shifted.* Just ideas now. Samples of my ideas will come later once I figure out how to go about making them.
Mahuika: *grins* Hey, so long as it keeps me busy. *laughs at how happy he looks now, gives a tail wag. it was nice to do something right for once*
Aglakti: I'm sure you'll be busy with pack business as time goes along. I expect that of all of us. Still, the pack seems to be moving rather...ah, slow for us I think. Maybe that is only because we are not included in adult business. They keep more from us than teach us.
Mahuika: *scratches at an ear, nose wrinkled in annoyance* Yeah. I've noticed that. I don't like stuff being hidden from me. *sigh* Ah well. If they won't tell us everything, we just have to figure it out on our own, right?
Aglakti: You make an excellent point. But, well, how do we go about doing that? *He gave a questioning stare.*
Mahuika: *hadn't thought about it, really* ...Listen in, I guess. Spy on them. *her brow furrowed. spying wasn't really something she was good at* ...or just go out and make our own business. *grins. that sounded way better*
Aglakti: *Giving a thorough nod at her second suggestion, he gave a sheepish grin* I think that would be fascinating. But what to do? Involve our siblings and the other apprentices?
Mahuika: Do you think they'd want to? The others, I mean? *hopeful look*
Aglakti: I don't see why not? I'm sure they're looking for something to do just as much as we are. *Looks around as though he'd spot someone*
Mahuika: *grins a bit uncertainly. now that she was thinking on it, she hadn't seen the others in some time now* Perhaps they already have. Have -you- spoken with our siblings lately, Brother?
Aglakti: Actually, no, no I haven't. Unfortunately, I haven't really made myself involved like I should have.
Mahuika: That makes two of us, then. *shakes her head* Funny, how things work out. *scratches at her ear, then rises to her paws, giving a long stretch* Well, I think it's settled, then. I'm going to go find us some trouble to get into. *grins*
Aglakti: *Having still been standing, he immediately jumped with excitement, ready to actually do something for once. Of course he wasn't sure what just yet.*
Mahuika: *grins and jumps forward to n** her brother on the shoulder, tail waving* Alright then. Let's go! *and without further warning, she bounds off in search of adventure...or her other siblings, whichever come first*
