Welcome to the Wizarding World of Gaia’s Entertainment Subforum. Discussions range from favorite websites, to video games and movies, to treasured book series and frequently purchased magazines. We talk about celebrities and their shenanigans, our collections of illegally downloaded music, and trash movie critics who trash movies we thought were kick a**.

General Threads

General threads in this subforum are typically broad range discussions, such as the topic of video games or suggestions for a romantic movie. These threads do not require banners and fancy posts - instead, they just require some kind of discussable content.

These types of threads must conform to the following guidelines:
• Provide “discussion spoons,” a bulleted list of relevant conversation points.
• Keep posts on topic and encourage others to do the same.
• Mark spoilers if necessary; anything released within the last 6 months requires a spoiler tag. See the Spoiler Tag Guidelines for additional information.

Fanthreads

Fanthreads are threads made to celebrate a specific movie, book, television show, celebrity, band, website, etc - they are actively maintained and are spruced up with banners and relevant information that fans and fans-to-be would find useful. For additional guidelines on maintaining fanthreads, see this sticky.

These types of threads must conform to the following guidelines:
• You should have an introduction as to why your topic should have fans.
• Provide a "fan club" feel (such as a memberlist, pictures, banners, discussion or contests.)
• Keep posts on topic and encourage others to do the same.
• Spruce up your posts! Fanthreads should represent their topic.
• Clearly state any applicable rules.
• Mark spoilers if necessary; anything released within the last 6 months requires a spoiler tag. See the Spoiler Tag Guidelines for additional information.

Specific Discussions

Specific discussions are topics geared towards a particular aspect of something (like an X-Men pairing, or Harry Potter theories) that the poster feels deserves its own thread. These do not require sprucing up as the discussion is the focus of the thread, and not the fandom in its entirety.
