Adds a nice lot of heathy attack! Sounds ******** awesome if slapped right! It's not a high tone. It's distortion. Slapped distortion in my opinion sounds like warmed over poo. Cliff Burton did the same thing with Anasthesia, I didn't care for that either. It's no fun to play without distortion, and i'm pretty conservative when it comes to bass, so I say I don't care.

I like some distortion though some just doesn't work. He is an okay bassist but not the best.

I thought he was really good, and I didnt say he was the best so nobody better start that crap "theres better" cause I am well aware there is lol. Tapping is not personally a favorite of mine but some of the tapping he did in it i did enjoy the sound of it was really melodic. I do beleive that he really didnt do much other then what a guitarist would do if they picked up a bass though. My opinion though.
I did like Anesthasia, I like they use of the wah in it. and I do sometimes like when a bassist throughs in the tapping normally assosiated with guitar, though i prefer there to be plenty of other content with it.

Woah, he's fast! He's obviously very talented at playing quickly, but I think bass is about rythym, and he's playing so quickly that there's no rythym too it at all. I think that sort of playing should be left to the guitarist. It looks impressive though.

To me, a good bass player gets down to the basics. Good hand position, in tune notes, all that jazz. On top of that, they have to be proud, and get a full bass sound to be proud of, none of the wimpy stuff you sometimes see/hear. You can bang your head or dance around all you want on stage, but if you're not making pretty sounds, you just look like an idiot.
