=1= (P.S.: Don't be surprised if you see some cats that are made by members of the guild in this story. =D)

Next to a river, a small black kit batted the water. He was surrounded by green. The kit stared at the water until he spotted a silver fish. He froze, then slowly began to lift his paw…
“SURPRISE!” a grayish black kit yowled and jumped on the other kit. “You should be more alert, Reedkit.”
Reedkit frowned, “I almost had that fish, Shadowkit. “And I don’t remember any other kit my age catching a fish. I’ve been practicing that move for moons!”
Shadowkit rolled his eyes, “We’ll get plenty of practice when we’re apprentices, and we’ll probably be the best warriors in Riverclan!”
Reedkit just shrugged. His ceremony was tomorrow, but that seem like ages away. He couldn’t wait to be an apprentice, and he would train to be the best. Better than his brother, Shadowkit. Everyone always compared him to his brother, because they were so close. Not anymore. I’ll be better than him. Reedkit thought silently.
At that moment, a gray she-cat poked her head through a bush. “It’s time to go, little ones.”
“But we’re not ‘little ones’ anymore, Chimeleaf!” Reedkit groaned.
“That’s right…” Shadowkit said, tipping his head to one side.
Chimeleaf laughed, “You’ll always be my little ones.” She stepped over the bush and gave Shadowkit a lick on his head.
Shadowkit frowned. “When will you start treating us like we’re a little older than newborns?”
“Never,” Chimeleaf purred, getting behind Reedkit and nudging him toward the bush that she had come from. “Come one. It’s almost dark.” She guided her kits back to Riverclan camp.
Reedkit gazed around camp. He saw Sparkpaw, the medicine cat apprentice, carrying herbs into the medicine den. Her mentor, Scarmuzzle, was right behind her. He shot Reedkit a glare, as though Reedkit had done something to the old medicine cat that would scar him for life. The black kit shook his head and turned toward the apprentice den. He saw Dewpaw licking her lips after she finished eating a fish. Dustpaw was yawning and retreating to the apprentice den for some sleep. I’ll be in there tomorrow… Reedkit thought, his emerald-green eyes shining.
He turned toward the warrior’s den and saw Reedheart sharing tongues with Autumnleaf. Reedkit suddenly felt a rush of sadness, remembering his father, Blackstorm. The black tom had died in a border fight with Thunderclan. He had gotten pushed into the river and hit his head on a sharp rock.
Reedkit sprang back to the present and shook his head. His father had died a warrior. There was nothing more to it. Reedkit hated Thunderclan thought. Just hearing the word made him want to spit.
Reedkit then glanced to the leader’s den. The leader of Riverclan, Eaglestar, was on top of Mossrock, where he called the clan together for clan meetings, and was gazing at his clan with pride. That was where Reedkit wanted to be one day. He wanted to be ‘Reedstar’. That way the clan would listen to what he said. And maybe even Scarmuzzle would respect him…and if he didn’t…then he would make him jump in the river in Leaf-bare or something.
Chimeleaf entered the nursery, followed by Shadowkit and then Reedkit. The gray queen settled in her nest and beckoned her kits to join her. Shadowkit rolled his eyes, but then curled up next to his mother. Reedkit did the same, and felt Chimeleaf’s warm tongue against his pelt. He closed his eyes and imagined him as an apprentice and his apprentice ceremony. He imagined racing through Riverclan territory, the wind in his fur, and every Riverclan cat chanting his name…
Reedkit opened his eyes to the sun shining in his face. He turned away quickly and realized that he was in a field. The wind blew in his fur, and he suddenly felt cool. A sweet scent filled the air, and Reedkit turned. There was a she-cat with a starry pelt coming toward him. Reedkit’s eyes grew as he backed away.
The starry cat was now in front of him, “Do not worry, little one. I’m not going to hurt you.”
Reedkit only frowned. Little one. How many times am I going to be called that in one day? He thought. “Who are you? And why are you here?”
The starry cat smiled, “I am Willowshine. And I am here to tell you something.”
Reedkit stretched his eyes. He had heard stories about Willowshine. She used to be the medicine cat for Riverclan, long before Scarmuzzle had taken the medicine cat role. “And…what do you want to tell me?”
Willowshine gazed down at him, “When the time comes, please don’t make the wrong choice…” Her voice started to fade.
Reedkit blinked, remembering the words. “But…what does that mean?” He looked around. Willowshine was gone.
