 It was only by sheer luck that Dante managed to find the healer before the setting sun met the skyline. It was only by perserverance that he managed that he managed to get the healer back before said sun vanished for the night.
He approached the cave coutiously, not sure what may have happened in his absence.
"Ravyn...?"

She didn't answer. Not because she had left. The black and grey mare was still where the Angeni had left her, still unconscious. The pain had been far too much, and it kept her in a daze. If she woke up, it was only for a few moments.
Now was not one of those moments.

Dante jestured for the healer to stay back before venturing into the cave to find out what had happened. The healer was not a part of this. If there was trouble he'd prefer the healer have the chance to run rather then get drawn in.
The cave was too dark too see, but that could be fixed easily enough. At first there was only a dim glow but soon he grew bright enough to light the cave.
There she was, on the floor just how he'd left her.

Her breathing was very shallow, and in the dark of the cave, it would be very hard to tell if she were actually breathing. You certainly wouldn't get clues from her moving. She was still, too still.

Dante didn't seem to be worried by this. He wouldn't have been able to help any by staying and he simply couldn't fret over circumstances beyond his control.
He turned, and dimmed his light as he left the cave.  Chane stood outside looking quite nervous. The bold angeni had spoken of an attack, and of vicious beasts who may still be lingering about. In other words, he hated to be left outside and alone like he was just now.
When the angei appeared in the cave entrance he nodded and hurried forward, glad he no longer had to watch the shadows.

The crow was still outside the cave, perched high in a tree. Watching, waiting. He would watch like his master had ordered.

Chane stopped inside the cave. It was far too dark here. He was afraid of stepping on his patient. Healing her was right out of the question. He'd noticed a glow coming from the cave while he was outside though...
"It's dark..." he muttered. "Could you?"
The angeni nodded and the glow filled the cave again.

This time the glow seared into her eyes and woke her up. She lifted her head, blinking at the light, trying to make out the forms in the shadows.
"...Is that you? You're back?"

Chane's ears flicked back at those words, not wanting to scare her with a new voice.
Dante barely glanced back, "Yes. I've returned. And I have brought the healer I promised you."

She smiled a bit at that and set her head back down. She was glad it wasn't the raven and the serpent back to finish her off. "I'm glad," she murmured. Her voice was strained, raspy and barely audible. Her wing hurt so much.

Chane bent his head down to better see her, "Umm... Where does it hurt the most?"
She wasn't bleeding out, so he figured he could try and ease her pain for now. He'd brought along a few healing herbs but she was out of barely awake. He wasn't sure he trusted her to eat without choking.

Her eyes rolled to look up at him. She could barely tell who he was. She didn't think she'd seen him before, but she couldn't be sure. Licking her lips, she closed her eyes again.
"My wing..." It was pretty obvious which one. The limp one stretched out over her side.

He nodded, "I need to feel it. Try to hold still, I know it's not easy."
If she could have seen him the prominent scars all up his leg would have made the last portion clear.
Fortunately, it didn't take much prodding on his part to figure out that it was dislocated and not worse. Slowly, and as clear as he could he explained what he was about to do and what he needed her to do or, not to do.

She tried to pay attention, she really did. But the pain from his poking had nearly caused her to pass out again. She was gasping for breath when he finished his explanation. She'd caught bits and pieces, was it enough to understand?
