Leith was having himself an adventure!!

Well...

At least, that's what he'd imagined it being when he had first set out, now a few days ago. He wasn't the average sort of Mudkip - while others often surrounded themselves in their own kind, never traveling out of a group, he was always very solitary. Not by choice, mind you, he was simply... different. He'd been the loud one or the funny one or the one who never took anything seriously. What he'd decided now was that he was going to be the adventurer!! The only problem... was that no one else really believed in him. They'd practically laughed him out of their muddy pond, not a single one of them promising to come with him, or even seeming to care if he made it back...

Frowning, the small critter puffed himself up proudly, glaring into the forest that he'd managed to get himself lost in. Well, he'd show them, that he would!! He'd be the best explorer in the entire world, and he wasn't going to have some silly little forest get in his way!!

Even better, he was going to come back with treasure and pretty things and everything that he would ever need in his entire little life!! A broad smile lightened his face and he nodded firmly to himself. He would be the greatest ever!! And with that thought in his head, the stout little Mudkip continued off on his quest, trotting confidently through the unfamiliar wilderness.
