Life was always so dull as a teenager, Sammi thought. Reiya was out shopping with a friend; Joshua was apparently helping Vincent prepare for a spring wedding. Vinny had finally gotten the courage to propose to Elisabetta; they had all known he was going to, it had been just a matter of time.
Kaleb was probably visiting his pig-tailed girl with an upturned nose. Oliver was out doing whatever it was shadows did. Samantha felt quite alone. She flipped her cell phone open and flopped on the couch. She dialed Milo's number.
"Milo? Do you think you could come over? We can do something. Maybe play a video game or--" she didn't know what Milo'd like. "Whatever you'd like."

Milo was sitting in his room, having a conversation with, as it seemed upon first glance, no one. But, upon closer inspection, it was easy to see that the boy wasn't quite alone. A small, pink earthworm sat in a flower pot on the window sill, seemingly looking up at the boy. The yoking fae paused, listening to a response only he could hear before laughing.
"Oh, that was a good one, Willard." Milo said, snickering. "Won't be able to tell that one in front of the parents, though. Now, listen to this one. So this guy wal-" The boy's joke was cut off by his phone ringing, causing him to frown. "Hello?" he asked irritably, his tone huffy till he realized who it was. "Oh, hey Sammi....yeah, I guess I could come over. Let me make sure my friend over here's comfortable; he'll be staying a while. After I get him some food, I'll head right over, okay?"

"Oh, if you have a friend over, you don't have--" she was slightly confused. She knew better than to think Matthias would let one of Milo's friends stay for long. Was Milo's friend a new pet? She knew Loki had some kind of cat; she had heard him calling for 'Kitty' the last time she'd visited Risa.
"Alright then," she agreed with a smile. "I'll see you soon. Maybe next time, you'll introduce me to your friend?" After all, any friend of Milo's was a friend of hers. "I'll get the wii set up." Maybe they could finally beat the part she was stuck on in Zelda.
