I found this spell online, and I haven't had a chance to actually try it yet. But I will hopefully this weekend. Any one who tries it before hand, please tell me how it works out for you. And I will do the same once I get the chance to actuall perform it. What you need: 1 sheet of paper or parchment A pen or pencil of somesort used in magical works A candle (Color depends on your wish, but white is generally the most used)
Do a relaxation ritual before you perform the spell to clear your mind. And make sure you concentrate on the spell and not the joy afterwards. Take paper out and draw a pentagram in the middle of it. Then draw a yin-yang symbol in the middle of the pentagram. Write down your wish at the top of the sheet. Fold the sheet 2-3 times and seal it with wax from the burning candle. Then burn it with that candle's fire. While it is turning to ash repeat your wish either silently to yourself, or aloud. When it is all ash, sprinkle ashes from a window or such.

Are you supposed to focus you energy or something while you write the wish, or repeat it as you burn the paper? At what point during the spell do you send you focus your energy and send it out to fulfill your wish?

I assume while you're writing your wish, and repeating it while the paper is burning. It wasn't real specific on that. So I assume it's up to the spellcaster to decide where to focus all of their energy.
And sending it out to fullfil your wish, it's when you sprinkle your ashes at the end. Either from a window, balcony, or something simliar.

Also, what is the significance of the candle being colored?
And must the pen or pencil be one meant for specifically for magic or can any old writing tool work? When I read things like that, it makes me think of Llewellyn Publishing trying to squeeze more money out of customers. "Buy our spell book and while you're at it, throw more money down on pens we say are magical!"
As a side note: I would actually recommend writing your own spells.

Any tool you have should work. What they mean by it being used for magic purposes, just the one you generally use with your stuff. Not having to go out and buy a specific type. And the color candle goes with whatever you are wishing for, and what you have the specific color represent to you. Example: I guess if you are wishing for money or something like that you would use a green candle. If that's what the color green represents to you. And if you are wishing for love, maybe the candle be red, or pink. Again that all depends on the person, and what they choose each color to represent. And when I get more familar with witchcraft I will practice writing my own spells. People have given me tips on how to do so. But I am still at a general loss and trying to figure all of that out. Once I get into the full flow of things, it all should be easier for me.

Yeah it says to focus on the spell itself. Not what may come after it. Basically if you get your hopes up, you're going to be let down. So it's better when it's done and over with to just forget about it as much as you can.

Well I know with all magic you have to focus on the thing at hand. And what you are actually trying to achieve. So I guess when it's all done and over with it might be a good idea to forget about it and move on. Or otherwise you'll just be sitting there waiting with the possibility of no results.

Yeah, I like writing my own spells, but I find that using spells that are already written work just as good. Maybe not as powerful, and not in the way I want them to work all the time, but they still work fine. Good luck! smile

Yeah, like I stated earlier, once I get into the actual flow of everything I will do my best to write my own spells.

I've tried the wishing spell and so far it has worked. Within a month my family will be moving out of the apartment we are living in at the moment, and moving onto the military base my husband is stationed at. heart Ever since we moved out here I've been wanting to get on base. But the stupid housing people wouldn't help us one bit like they were supposed to, so as far as I knew we were stuck where we were until August. But with a new baby on the way due May 1st, I needed us to be on base asap. So it'll be easier on me, with us only having one car and all, plus to be able to see what friends I have made here with ease, and not have to juggle moving later on with a newborn/3 month old, and a toddler.
So again I state that so far it is working. And that is why I haven't been on in quite a while. With all of this going on, plus a bunch of other stuff. I haven't been able to really get on the computer much to really do anything.
