How To get promotion

Cadet- Apply to join the guild
Probationary Officer- Finish the Academy time (2 weeks)
Jr. Police Officer- Serve your time as a probationary Officer (1 week)
Police Officer- Finish 3days as a Jr. Officer
Sr. Officer- Serve 4 months on the force as a Police Officer
Detective 3rd Grade- File to take a Civil Service Exam or be a good officer and get promoted
Detective 2nd Grade- Serve some time in an investigative division
Detective 1st Grade- Become a very well respected Detective
Supervising Officer- Become promoted by your Lieutenant
Sergeant- File for a Civil Service Exam or be a good Police Officer
Lieutenant- File for a Civil Service Exam with any officer Deputy Inspector or up
Captain- File for a Civil Service Exam and if passed wait for a promotion
Deputy Inspector- Get promoted by any Chief in the department
Inspector- Get scouted by a Chief and go through the phases
Deputy Chief- File for a Chief Exam when a position is open
Assistant Chief- File for a Chief Exam when a position is open
Bureau Chief- File for a Bureau Chief Exam when a position is open
Deputy Commissioner- Be a good officer and get scouted by the Commissioner
Chief of Department- File for a CoD qualification test with any Commissioner
First Deputy Commissioner- Start doing good with an administrative rank


(process of promotion)
Detective 3rd Grade- a.Apply for a Civil Service exam and if passed wait while on the Detective Qualified Officers List. If a position opens up in a Investigative Division the Division C.O may scout you and bring you on the team b.Be on the force for a while doing a good job and possibly the Police Commissioner will appoint you to Detective 3rd Grade.

Detective 2nd Grade- First take the Detective Exam and become a Detective 3rd Grade. After a while your Sergeant may ask the Lieutenant to promote you to a Detective 2nd Grade.

Detective 1st Grade- After a while on an investigative branch one of the Commissioners may look at you and decide to make you a Detective 1st Grade.

Supervising Officer- Serve as a Police Officer for a while and possibly the Lieutenant commanding your unit will promote you to Supervising Officer.

Sergeant/Det. Sergeant- a.Apply for Civil Service Exam and if passed you will be put on the Sgt. Qualified list and when a spot opens the Captain incharge of the unit will review the exam and your officer profile b.Work as a good officer and possibly the Captain will promote you to Sergeant.

Staff Sergeant- As a sergeant make sure your officers do good and the Deputy Inspector of the precinct may promote you to Staff Sergeant.

Lead Sergeant- After making it to Staff Sergeant if a Lead Sergeant Position opens up apply with the Deputy Inspector of the Precinct.

First Sergeant- Apply for it when open with the Chief of Department. (Must currently be a Sergeant rank)

First Lieutenant/Det. Lieutenant- a.Apply for a Civil Service Exam with any Inspector and if passed the Inspector will place you on the Lt. Qualified list b.Be a Good Sergeant and possibly the Commanding Officer of the Division will promote you.

Captain/Det. Captain- a.Apply for a Civil Service Exam with a Deputy Chief and if Passed that Deputy Chief will put you on the Capt. Qualified List b. Command a division that has good outcomes and a Chief will promote you.

Deputy Inspector- Do as a good officer on the force and an Assistant Chief+ will promote you to Deputy Inspector.

Inspector- Go through the phase of being a Deputy Inspector and when a Inspector spot is open you can be promoted to Inspector by the Assistant Chief inchare.

Deputy Chief- After being an administrator for a while apply for the Chiefs Exam with a Commissioner of the department. If passed the Commissioner who tested you will send a message to all Bureau Chiefs explaining you passed the test.

Assistant Chief- a.Apply for a Chiefs Exam with a Commissioner and if passed the message will be sent to all Deputy Commissioners. b.Be a good acting Deputy Chief.

Bureau Chief- Be a good Acting Officer and if the Chief of Department sees fit you will be promoted to Bureau Chief.

Deputy Commissioner- Be a senior Officer with good results.

Chief of Department- Take the COD test with a commissioner and the Commissioner who tested you will put you on the list the Commissioner views when a position is open.

First Deputy Commissioner- Be a good acting officer with an amazing record.
