Q: "What is the inner anatomy of a taur? As in, does each half have its own set of lungs, its own heart, etc..., or is it all spread out among the two bodies?"

A: It's different in every world with centaurs. In the case of the Isles, every taur has a very large, strong heart in their upper chest of the humanoid half. They have extra thick and strong arteries. If a taur has a heart problem that it can't fix with magic or a skilled surgeon, then she's pretty much dead.

The lungs are situated in the chest and the stomach intestines are in the lower half. Everything having to do with food, digestion, procreation, and the bowels are in the lower half.

A pregnant mammalian taur will hold her baby in the lower half. They don't have teats on the lower half, since they have upper breasts. That was just a design choice decision.

Q: "Um...ok. Where exactly on the Isles are the unitaur mostly? And what about the naga royalty?"

A: Syr's ever so slowly in the process of building this map guide. The Isles map is here.

Here are the original specs that the shop came with:
Haventree - Centaur hub.
The Elderach Mountains - Centaurs and Cervitaurs hunt & play there.
Nivae's Forest - Cervitaurs live here. Unitaurs hide deep within here.
Cursed Forest - Nagas live there with a huge hidden city.
The Isle of Exiles - All exiled taur are sent there and never return.
Northwest coast - Human settlements along Broken Bay.
Nathair Inis - Foxtaur original homelands.
Meon Garran - Wolftaur original homelands.
Draiocht - Cattaur original homelands.

But when the war broke out, everyone was scattered, the isles were all but torn apart, and generations of people were lost and a lot of their non-written tradition and oral history went with it. So no one but scholars and explorers know of their origins.

Q: "Also, what is the current 'structure' of the cobra royal family? >3> Is there one big daddy naga (or lady daddy), or many? How does one take control of the naga people? (This is definitely Ed talking, and not someone else without legs.)"

A: We're also hashing out roleplay guides for specialty races like the Naga, but we've got so many it's going to take a while. So in the meantime, we'll answer these specifically.

The most common Naga are the ones without hoods and with both arms. Armless Naga are like priests, they dedicate themselves to pure magic and are usually humble and subservient towards the others or their current masters or bosses.

Hooded Cobra Naga are the "Rarest" on the Rarity Scale for a really good reason. They usually don't live very long! The male is the largest of the two genders. It is possible to have sexless or hermaphroditic Naga, in general, because of inbreeding (as Pharaohs did from time to time to keep the bloodline "pure" or royal). In which cases, it's small or smaller than a female.

Control can be done by any Naga with the want and will. Usually through assassinations, poisoning, hired thugs... They'll kill each other readily if it means a chance for power, though the consequences for failure is death. Ultimate control is 99% in the coils of the Hooded. They have the MOST magical power (the polar opposite of the Unitaur) and they can manipulate weak minds by force, drugs, or intense magic. As a result, the terrible strain on their slave's bodies kills them quick. Slaves usually don't live long because they're abused so heavily. They WILL enslave their own kind, but they'd rather enslave a non-reptile so that they have someone left to worship them. They're real bastards, needless to say.

Royalty is only royalty until another Cobra Naga comes along and kills the current King or Queen. In history, Queens are more interested in decadence and grand parties and the Kings are more interested in conquest.

Q: "What is the exact lifespan of each taur the Isles?"

A: The general rule has been the more magic the taur is imbued in their bodies, the longer they live. We're not going to make the whole huge list of each race (yet), but here's the popular list:

Centaurs - No magic. Live as long as humans. (80-100 years)
Cervitaurs - Very very little magic. It's tiny and can't be used for casting spells. They're more for hunting and tracking. (110-115 years)
Wolftaur - Can use a little magic, don't really much care for it. (110-115 years)
Foxtaurs - Some magic for small spells and talismans. They can enchant items with small magic. Love charms are their favorite trick. (120-30 years)
Cattaurs - Good at magic. (150-170 years)
Naga (Standard) - Good at magic. (150-170 years)
Naga (Armless) - Very good at magic. (175-185 years)
Naga (Cobra) - Legendary magic. (300-400 years)
Unitaur - Legendary magic. (400-450 years, because of innate healing abilities)
Dracotaur - Almost godlike magic. (800-1,000 years, celestial/universe magic)

Quote:
Q: "Which taur is the largest in body size?"

A: The Centaurs and the Wolftaur, as far as pure bulk and muscle. Male and female can both be big and tall. Like most large four-leggers, the bigger you are the more likely you are to die sooner because of energy consumption.

For length from the top of the head to the tip of the tail, the Naga and Manta are neck-and-neck.
