The chilly air bit at him as he flew around and past the Yectenuhua Herd territory. It was easy to tell that winter was settling in, and even thought it was only a few days old, it was freezing this far up in the air. But, that could never stop Baroque from enjoying his wings, something he unfortunately couldn't share with his family.
Then, he was pulled from his thoughts when out of the corner of his eye he caught the sight of a little flowery meadow. It seemed oddly out of season, but it looked lovely down there and he was determined to check it out and enjoy the last bit of warm weather possible. So he started a circling decent, somewhat hesitant to leave his lovely sky. Unfortunately, he had missed something very important when he first spotted the little clearing, she must have blended in with all the other flowers, considering how bright she was. But he only got a quick glimpse of her before the smacked into each other.
He was positive he had just made the most embarrassing squeaking noise, and then he was making sure he would be landing on top of her, and that hopefully, her also wouldn't be damaging and wings. When the did land, they were in a bit of a heap, but he was happy to realize he was on the bottom, and both of his wings were tucked tightly on his back, and felt perfectly fine. The mare was on top of him, in a semi-awkward sideways position, but at first glance she didn't look to be hurt too bad.
"I'm terribly sorry! You're not hurt anyway are you?" He lifted hi head to look up at her, but otherwise remained till so she could remove herself from being on top of him first.

The field had been a great discovery for her. Meroko had been thrilled and filled with awe to see just how preserved it was. Unlike the rest of nature outside of this perfect bubble. She visited the field daily, basking in its mystery and delight. There was also always someone to talk to there! She loved to meet all the other grazers, making new friends was something she adored.
Today, though, she had set out to the grassy terrain with a different plan in mind. Wings tensed with anticipation, she had just straightened herself, positioned everything appropriately, before her long-awaited flight was interrupted by her literally having someone slam into her.
She was just making sure her left wing was bending properly and when she turned, a blue smear of speed had struck her down. She cried out, more in shock than any pain, as her back touched ground. Meroko tried to move under the sudden weight, a bit afraid to open her eyes to meet her attacker's. But the sudden words that rang in her ears took control and she looked to see the owner of the voice. It was a blond-manes, blue stallion. She cocked her head questioningly as her eyes landed on the strange bell in his hair. She was about to ask about it, as it caught her attention, when she noticed she was on top of him. She shrieked and blushed, jumping up un-gracefully and managing to step on the stallion's inner thigh in the process. "I am sorry! Are you okay! Geez I should have been paying attention, stupid me standing in the open." She laughed awkwardly but then caught herself and looked down at the stallion with an angry expression lighting up her eyes. "Wait just a sec! What were you doing? Watch were you are landing, this field isn't yours you know! Get your head out of the clouds!"
She huffed, pouting her lips and shaking her wings.

Baroque winced only a bit when the mare stepped on him on her way to getting off of him. He bounced on to his feet quickly after that. Mentally checking for anything broken, but other then a few sore spots, he seemed to be perfectly fine, and much to his relief the mare he had run into was perfectly fine as well. Even with her chiding him, he manager to breath a sigh of relieve and plant a smile on his face. He was always good at handing criticism, especially since she was completely in the right. He should have been watching where he was going.
So with a chuckle, and a low bow he apologized. "I am truly sorry, I've been scouting far too long, and was looking forward to resting my wings. You blended in so well with the lovely meadow I didn't have the chance to notice you before it was too late." He straightened up, and took a good look around him. It was obvious others traveled through the meadow a lot, it was quite the lovely hot spot then. He was shocked then it was only the mare and himself, considering it must have been a popular place for others to meet. He shook his head quickly, realizing he had forgot to mention a bit of important information.
"The name's Baroque Amachi by the way! Baroque works fine! Sorry I completely forgot to mention that, Cuauhcoatl would chide me for forgetting to introduce myself first, and not asking for the lovely ladies name in return." Baroque laughed again, hoping he wasn't coming across to weird. He didn't get to meet others very often, he was usually glued to his herd.

Her scowl eased almost completely off with his introduction and little compliment. A stubborn shred of bitterness still lingered in her pink eyes, but it too would soon evaporate and be replaced by smiles. "Well, I am sorry for yelling. I can understand why you didn't notice me." SHe looked around at the meadow which did match her coat quite well.
"Nice to meet you Baroque, what a lovely name," she giggled and took a friendly step forward, "My name is Meroko and just Meroko. Mero works too." She chuckled, "Nice to meet you blue stallion~" "What were you scouting for? Were you on an adventure?" Her eyes light up and her posture straightened excitedly at the idea.
