Shadow, even though he may look and act like one, isn't a human. He is a geneticly made being with enhanced abilities, or, to make it simpler, the Ultimate Lifeform. He is fast, can stop time(which makes him seem even faster), can jump very high, is powerful, cannot age(meaning he'll look around his twenties forever)and returns from missions given to him by the government with better results then were expected. But as he's grown, he hasn't known he was the Ultimate Lifeform he always heard of from scientists. Until he overheard two soilders talking, and mentioning the Ultimate Lifeform doing things that he accomplished. That's when he realized: He, Shadow, was this astounding creation. Furious that he was nothing more then a puppet to the government, and that nobody ever bothered to tell him he wasn't a human, he was eager to leave this place, never to return. Unfortunately, because of a tracking device on his wrist, this is impossible.
Shadow's newest mission: Infiltrate the enemy base and steal information from a heavily-guarded safe, which is located inside the enemy general's daughter's room.
What if he woke her up? What would happen then to Shadow? The girl can't fight, but....

Bio: Shadow was born in a labratory, growing up in a test-tube until he was fourteen. He was taught about society, and how to live in it. He was taught how to use his skills. But he never knew that he wasn't human, and never knew that he was the 'ultimate lifeform' he heard the scientists talking about. He was sent on secret missons, and returning not only successful, but with better results then people expected. Then he overheard a conversation between two military recruits. They were discussing how the ultimate lifeform did jobs well, and mentioned some of the jobs Shadow did. He realized that HE was the ultimate lifeform....And that he was just a puppet to these people. Not only is he furious, he wants out of this place. But this isn't possible, because of a tracking bracelet on him. So he's forced to continue this work....But even more of this complicated past is about to be revealed.
Other: He can run very fast, he can jump very high, he's very powerful, his hair is unable to be changed from the color of red and black(no matter how much you try to dye it), his eyes are red, and he has funky shoes that seem to make him hover a bit sometimes.

:3 Name: Rosemary Age: 19 Personality: Rosemary's a very gentle person. She rarely seeks trouble but will defend herself if necessary. Rosemary is optomistic, friendly, and quiet. Even though she's a nice person, she takes things very seriously. She has a humorous side, one that she uses in odd situations. She also has quite the smart mouth and often talks back to people she doesn't like very much. Bio: Rosemary is the daughter of the general. She knows nothing of this 'Ultimate Lifeform' but has heard rumors. As a young girl, Rosemary never stuck her nose into her father's business, but curiousity gnawed at her for years. She was always closer to her mother, having her father away most of the time. But when Rosemary was thirteen years old, her mother died. After that, Rosemary felt even more secluded. When Rosemary turned fifteen, her life was as dull as ever. She saw even less of her father and was always in her room. For some time she never spoke or interacted with anyone, but after a while she realized she'd have to let go of the past. Other: Rosemary's terrified of thunder and fire. She's wonderful at playing violin and piano, and can also play any other classical intrument. Image:

(Accepted :3 But seeing as she's the daughter of the enemy general, how about he switched to the enemy's side or something? X3 Oh, and I'm getting most of this scene right here off of my Sonic game xD Contact reworded, of course)
It was a snowy, silent, peaceful night in the forest. Within it, there was an armed base, surrounded by spotlights and alarms to alert any intruders. The gates to the base opened, and many robots marched out, in perfect alignment, the doors shutting behind them. They stopped, and all was quiet for a moment. Then....
Shadow was running through the woods-or, rather, skating. His shoes seemed to make him hover a few inches off the ground. He entered the clearing, and the robots ebgan shooting. In a flash, Shadow had gone through them, and leaped over the wall, landing on his feet in a crouched position. Behind him, all the robots exploded, as if he had hit them all. He dived behind a crate, so as to avoid a passing spotlight. He looked at his wrist, where there was a tracking device bracelet; it was also a way to communicate with home base.
"Shadow? I repeat, Shadow, are you in?" came a voice from it.
"Roger that." replied Shadow quietly. "First defense robots eliminated. I think the rest of the guard are human."
"Copy. Reports say that the first wave is mechanical, second is flesh, and the third a mix. But we have bad news."
"What?"
"According to this, the enemy general has a daughter currently staying at the base."
"So?"
"The safe is located inside her room."
"That shouldn't be a problem. Shadow out." He stood, then climbed the next wall, finding there was ground to stand on on the other side. He put his feet down, and ran into the base(this time actually running.)

(Ah. You know what, I saw that and I fixed it. I simply misread. x3) Rosemary sighed and rolled over. There were so many sounds! Alarms, people, guns. It was endless! This is what you get when you finally ask about what your father does, she though ruefully. Her father had obliged to the idea of seeing this, which had startled Rosemary, and brought her here. She wasn't exactly sure, she had been asleep most of the trip. By the time they had arrived, Rosemary was exhausted and her father had some men show her to this odd room. As tired as she had been, she didn't take the chance to look around but instead simply went to the bed and went to sleep. Or, what should have been sleep.
Shivering against the cold, she pulled the blanket around her body tighter. Closing her eyes and clearing her mind, the sounds seemed to fade out and Rosemary was finally able to find some form of sleep.

Shadow put his back to the wall, looking around the corner. By this time, he had managed to get inside. A guard was walking by. When she reached the intercection of the hallway where Shadow was, he slid out and hit her on the back of the neck, making her fall forward. He caught her, gently laying her down. "Nighty night." Then he ran off down the hallway, towards Rosemary's room, encountering several people but knocking them out easily. Upon reaching her room, he stopped and pushed open the door--even though it had been locked. He quietly entered, glancing around for the safe. He saw Rosemary, asleep, and made a mental note not to wake her up. Then he saw it, disquised to blend in with the wall. Shadow approached the safe, then took out a tiny peice of paper he had gotten from a guard. It had the safe's code on it. After locating the place to put in the combination, he did so. Annoyingly, the buttons made a small beeping sound as he touched them.

Rosemary let out a quiet sigh. Her conciousness could hear the noise again. But this was...closer? Her eyes flitted open a bit, and she blinked blearily. She stirred and rolled onto her back. Never again, she thought. Will I succumb to curiousity. She frowned with irritation when she heard more of the endless and nameless sounds. It was like they were trying to keep her awake! Sitting up, she threw her legs over the side of the bed. She still had her jeans on, along with her blue button down shirt. Rosemary ran a hand through her hair and looked around. That's when she froze. She caught sight of a figure on the other side of the room. Her eyes widened slightly and she stared, completely startled.

Shadow didn't notice she had woken up. "Gotcha." he said quietly, opening the safe. He pulled out some papers, then closed the safe again. He flipped through the papers, then spoke into his wrist-watch type tracking device again. "Rogue, I've got the papers."
This time a woman's voice spoke back to him. "Excellent work, Shadow. Report back to base immediately!"
"All ri-" He froze, seeing Rosemary.
"Shadow? Shadow!"
"I've been spotted by the general's daughter."
"What?! We don't have time for this, Shadow. Knock her unconsious and get your a** out before they realize you're there!"
"Fine." Shadow lowered his arm.

Well hell, Rosemary thought. She was defensless in a situation like this. She heard him speak and a shot of panic bolted through her. Her mouth gaped open before she shut it. That wouldn't really work. She remained where she was, utterly frozen. This is what I get, she thought. She stared at Shadow, curiousity and fright flashed in her eyes. She opened her mouth, and this time was able to speak.
"Who are you?" she asked, her voice steady.
She wondered what she could do. She shot a quick glance at the door, but shook her thoughts away. She wasn't fast enough. Why do I have to be thrown in this?

"It doesn't really matter. I'm not staying long." Shadow replied, walking over to her. He stopped walking when he heard the girl's voice form his device.
"SHADOW! NEW ORDERS! FORGET HIS DAUGHTER! THEY KNOW YOU'RE HERE! JUST GET OUT BEFORE-"
She was cut off by a loud crash. Shadow spun around; the door had been busted in, and robots emerged.
"About time. Bring it on." Shadow got into a fighting stance. "Your move...."

Rosemary had began scooting back when Shadow started walking towards her. She jumped and covered her mouth with a hand when the robots barged through the door. She couldn't believe this! She was stuck in the room. First the strange man, and second, all of the damned robots. In her head, she was blaming her father for this. Who else was she going to blame? Removing her hand, she brushed her hair back and blinked. Well, since she couldn't go anywhere she might as well watch...

The robots raised their arms, and began shooting. Shadow dodged all the bullets, running-er, or rather gliding, with his shoes-and kicked one in the face, making it smash into the wall and crumble in a heap of metal. He used the impact from hitting it to jump onto the other one, punching, kicking, punching, kicking-all in mid-air. Then he pushed himself off it, doing a backflip and landing on his feet. Slowly, the robot fell backwards, landing with a clang. Shadow looked at the useless metal, crossing his arms. "Pathetic. I expected more from your father." he said, looking over his shoulder at Rosemary.

Rosemary watched with shock. He was doing things...inhuman! She blinked as the last robot fell. "What are you?" she asked, staring at him. He definately wasn't normal. Her eyes flitted down to the pile of metal which had previously been a robot. She snorted. "I wouldn't know what my father is capable of." she said. She looked back at him again and stood. "Well, Best be on your way then. I'm not about to go against you. One, I'm defenseless. Two, you're a freak. Three, I don't care." she said with a sigh. Either way he'd leave. Obviously he wasn't welcome here.
