is it possible to actualy accept death or the possiblity that you might die of a heart attack some day??

if it is then i have accepted this to be one of my possible fates!!
i have also accepted that the entire planet may die one day in the blink of an eye!! last i want to say that to acept death is to live care free and to worry the rest of your life will bring you to an earlie grave so lets party and be care free by accepting the fact that we will all die some day!!

Well, Although death through heart problems is a concern for people whom are over-weight, you also have to acknowledge that as long as they are eating healthy and excercising regularly then that is not a very big concern..... There are so many things that affect how and when you will die, I think acceptance is just something you need to have.... Nobody lives forever, we will all die someday. 3nodding

With no offense, I'm not sure how deep your thoughts can be when you have not yet discovered capital letters.

Let me get all zen and Greek on you here for a sec. To truly live, one must first accept death. All men are mortal. You are a man (?). Therefore, there is one logical conclusion.

That being said, don't be stupid about accepting death. It's one thing to ACCEPT the fact that one day you will die. It's another entirely to BASK in said fact. I have a family history of diabetes. There is a high risk that I will get it and die. Do I live in fear every day? Not of that, no. I worry more about being eaten alive by giant squirrels domokun or being assaulted by a person in a pink bunny suit or being in a hit-and-run moped accident. Okay, so I don't. But should I? I mean, in the grand scheme of things, I KNOW what it's likely that I'll die of. So instead of worrying about that, shouldn't I be worried about the ABNORMAL things? For men over a certain age, it's more likely that they'll die of a lightening strike than get married. Are they constantly living in fear and wetting themselves at the sound of thunder? Unlikely. They may just get some shoes with rubber insoles or something. They don't go walking around in rainstorms with large metal poles on hills singing about death. You have a family history of heart problems. You've accepted that. Good. But don't go around saying, "Well, since I"m going to die that way anyways, I might as well be carefree and stupid (I'm not saying those two go hand-in-hand, but sometimes...)." Being carefree only works for so long, and only works in the long-term if you are an incredibly selfish person. Care-free means that you don't care what happens to you. But you may lose sight of the fact that others care about what happens to you. You may die due to being carefree, and in doing so, you can leave others behind who will sorely miss you and would have been able to enjoy your presence for many more years if you had only exerted some amount of caution. crying "Being carefree" is the slogan of youth who don't necessarily understand responsibility, and it doesn't always work out as planned.

That being said, there is a time and place for being "care-free". I agree that we shouldn't worry ourselves to death (though the irony in worrying yourself to death over how you were going to die is rather amusing...) and that life should have fun. But life is not ALL ABOUT fun. I say pick your battles, pick your worries, but don't pick your nose in public. question Or something. If you find yourself dwelling on worries and fears, then you do need to losen up and become more carefree. Just don't overdo it.

Sorry, I had no idea where I was going with this. It was such a random post subject to begin with that I guess I kinda picked it up and ran with it. I don't actually know if any of my thoughts flowed cohesively. No insults or slurs intended in whatever I just said above. The above post is a good reason why I should get more than 3 hours of sleep a night. talk2hand

^ very well said. And amusing.

Fuzzy, almost every time I read one of your posts, I have a strange urge to hug you. And if you knew me, you'd know how rare that is because I am SO NOT the hugging type.
