Prayers are a person's way of saying "Hey, I feel bad for you but not really. Peace out." when someone's having a hard time, "I hate your ******** guts" when you do something they don't like, and "I better get this or I'm gonna choke a b***h" when they want something.
Faith is perhaps one of the biggest roadblocks of a modern society. I'm genuinely sympathetic to the fact that your brother and family are suffering, but even under the most pressing circumstances, you will not now nor will you ever find me praying. It's emberassing as a human being and I refuse to feed the zealot masses of bible thumpers hoping to fill a few extra pews.
.....So yeah, but I AM sorry to hear about that. Hopefully the doctors can treat him.
