Dawn of a New Age

It has been said the times of happily ever after are over, nothing could be closer to the truth. Trolls roam unchecked and unchallenged, fighting for revenge of their dead king. Imps and faires gave up on helping humans and have ostracised themselves from the rest of the world. They don't care what happens. So long as they themselves are not affected, it doesn't matter.

More interestingly, the wolves pardon has not been followed. Wendel pardoned us, and yet the farmers do not keep to it. Why? They call us beasts, creatures not worthy of sentiment. For this ay any other reason I've gone to live in the forest. I'll wait until they kill themselves, my emotions are gone, yet I force myself to feel disgust.

Today, it's my eighteenth birthday. No one around, just the way I like it. I can be with myself. Not feeling anyone and their emotions. Yes, I'm envious. Wouldn't you be? I don't even think true love's kiss can cure this heinous curse. The evil witch is dead, and I thought that would break the spell. Wrong, again.

To celebrate my birth, I'm catching rabbits and feeding off them. Uncooked these little treats are candy. Blood sweet from the carrots they steal from the farmers. Fur, simply soft, softer than a new gosling. Easier to catch than an unguarded infant. You offer them anything they come running. Too easy. Only when they sense what you are do they start to run. That's when the fun begins. They twist and dive trying to lose you. Luckily, I'm smarter than they are. I know running in a straight line will turn their strategy against them. Oh it is too easy to catch the naive rabbits.

Then only thing better than chasing them and catching them is eating them. My teeth sink easily into their flesh, they twist and urn in pain, forcing me to snap their fragile spine, killing them.

This life I've built for myself, it's paradise. I could not ask for more. The only thing that would make it better is if I could feel happy about what I have. I know when I'm supposed to feel a certain way, and I remember what it feels like, however, I can only remember, and imagine.

That night I found a natural cave to sleep in. I was ever so tired from the hunts today. I would probably sleep in. It didn't matter though. I don't have a schedule to keep, so yes, I shall sleep in.

Adrian woke up the same way he awoke every morning, to the sound of the town bell ringing. Signalling the hour of ten. It always startled him too. He always jumped up in worry.
He swung his feet over off the bed and put them in his warm slippers. He stood up and headed down to the dining room for breakfast.
His father was there eating toast and drinking tea. "Morning father." He nodded.
His father looked up and gave him a quick nod then stood up. "Adrian, your lessons will continue today. Do not be late." He then walked out of the room, stopping in the door way, "And would you please not be rude to your instructor today? They cost money and these lessons are mandatory if you wish to be king."
Adrian stuck his fork in the eggs and watched as the yolk ran slowly from the center. His mother was out of the picture. Kidnapped and killed by trolls. Security was beefed up after wards and no royalty left the castle unguarded.
Adrian, did not have to worry about leaving unguarded. He was forbidden from leaving. At least until his lessons were complete to his father's expectations.
Adrian finished his breakfast quickly and headed off to his room to get dressed. ONce fully dressed he headed to the lesson hall.
Today's lesson: Public greetings and dining. Then he had to show how he improved his hand writing. After all, royalty must have the best handwriting, elegant and refined. Flowing and beautiful. Adrian could write well enough so people could read it, that was the best he could do and that was how it was going to stay. The teacher could suck it for all he cared.

Derek was out on his morning hunt when Sasha started acting strange. "what's wrong girl?" He asked. She had to of smelt something bad. She barked and growled facing east. He inched forward arrow ready in bow. "shh..." he whispered to his companion. He moved towards the mouth of the cave and looked in. A young girl, near his own age he guessed was sleeping her head on a rock. He dropped his arrow and put them away. "What would a girl be doing out here?" He picked her up and started to carry her to the village. He looked down at Sasha, "Maybe she ran off or got lost last night." He shrugged his shoulders. "Someone has to know her." Sasha followed obediently after Derek, fully aware that the creature he held was not a girl, but a wolf. There was just no way of telling him he held a dangerous wild animal and not a sleeping human. Sasha kept close keeping an eye on the animal, making sure she didn't wake and get startled. A startled wolf is a dangerous wolf. Then again, any kind of wolf was dangerous.

I woke up slowly, as I do every morning. However, this was strange, I was moving. I could smell everything... dog, trees, and human. I looked up at the thing carrying me. I twisted and turned like the rabbits. I forced him to unhand me. Once on the ground I ran. I ran straight, a tactic where you have to be faster than I if you wish to catch me. I didn't know if I was being followed, but it didn't matter. I slowed down and went behind a tree. Too make sure I would loose the dog too I climbed. As high as I could climb. I looked down once I figured I was high enough.

The best time of day is when a demonic faire can have some fun. Nero saw just that opportunity as he watched the wolf struggle against the human male. Oh the possibilities that could arise. After being thrown out of the village what else was there to do? He was one of the more smaller fairies so it would be easier to hide from the wolf if things went south. He decided he'd been good long enough. Four hours of no bad deeds! He began to form the plot in his mind. When it was set he headed over to the male. "Well..." He said slyly, sitting on his shoulder, "You're going to let that one get away?" He laughed a fake sweet laugh, "You're letting a good one go." Nero moved fast and before the male could turn his head Nero was gone. He then went to find the female. Things were going to get interesting. He changed his appearance to that of a wood faire. Green hair and outfit. Flowers growing from his hair. Eyes changed from blood filled sockets to purple sparkling glitters. The feeling he got from changing was awful. He could feel his body change and stretch, growing. He would be happy to get out of this as soon as possible. This wood faire crap was not for him.

Adrian sat bored in the lesson hall. He just listened to the teacher, what to do what not to do. So boring. Nothing really was sinking in, but oh well. Not like he would ever need to properly greet the public. Royal greetings were canceled after his mother's death.

Derek wondered where that strange voice came from. It sounded devilish. he could tell Sasha was urging him to go home, but he had other plans. He ran after the girl. What if she got hurt? He could not live with something like that on his conscience. He ran straight, thinking that's what she did. "Sasha!" He yelled, "Find her."
Sasha didn't want the girl found, but she has a job to do. She obediently picked up the girl's sent and headed after her. Stopping at a tree. She smelt the wolf, it had climbed. She scratched the bark, a sign that the animal was up the tree.
Derek scratched Sasha's head, "Good girl" He then looked up the tree, trying to see if he could see the poor lonely girl.

Nero found the girl hiding in a tree a mile away. "What a sight to behold. A wolf ran up a tree to escape a hunter's hold." He moved toward the girl, laughing a sweet laugh. "I feel an awful spell," he moved closer, and rested his hands on the girl's nose, "Terribly sorry, I made you fell." He gave the girl a push.

((Bravo!! Rhymer!! Too great.))

I should have known the little wood faire was up to no good, I felt myself hit the branches on my way down, finally, I hit the ground, a dog's wet nose sniffed my hair. I looked up and saw the faire fly away, that mischief maker had done what it set out to do and now it just left.

his awful rhyme was still going through my head, he knew of my curse. How? Maybe it was just something fairies could sense. It didn't matter anymore, it was gone, and the boy was going to catch me. What would it be? Burning? Pitchfork to the chest? I could feel his emotions getting stronger, he found me.

I rolled over and the dog growled viscously a warning that it wasn't afraid to kill me if I jumped at his master.

"Sasha!" Derek Barked, the dog backed up, and he extended his hand down to her. "Wow, nasty fall, Are you okay, miss?" He left that opening hoping the girl would tell him her name. Maybe then he didn't have to take her back to the village. Maybe then he could just ask around town if anyone saw her or more importantly knew her.

I ignored his gesture, contact was out of the question with this curse. Still, his feels weren't negative, I couldn't help but feel happiness when he flashed a smile. With out warning I heard myself blurt out "Alpha." I got up off the wet ground and dusted myself off.making sure my back was never to him, I couldn't let him see me tail. What would he think?

Miles away, near River Town, Pain and her brother were focusing on taking over the 4th Kingdom. They were spinning plans of torture. All they wanted was to make the House of White pay. Just pay for corrupting and cursing their family. Because of the precious Snow White line, they were forced to live out side the law.
Pain looked over at her brother and laughed maniacally. "Oh, I'm so bored," She teased, "Can't we just have some fun this morning?"
She went over and stuck her bottom lip out playfully.

Nero, at the same time was looking over hi s work, slowly turning back into his most precious form, demon.

Derek could see the girl didn't trust him. Still, he got a name, that was better than nothing. "Alpha?" He asked, "Do you live somewhere around here?" He looked around and didn't see a trace of civilisation anywhere. "Do you need help?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 03, 2011 7:44 pm

((Eh, getting tired of the "I" point of view. XD I hate to do this but I'm changing view points. Don't shoot. Friend. <3))

Alpha could feel his emotions there was general concern for her well being. She laughed to herself, "No, trust me, I'm don't live around here." SHe then turned to leave, "It's be best if you didn't mention me either." SHe then ran off in a light pace, toying with the boy, just to see if he was interested enough to follow her.

"Wake up!"
Adrain jumped up from his sleep, "Oh, is it over?"
The teacher looked down at him and slapped a ruler on the desk. "no, actually, we're going to go to the stables and you're going to learn how to ride a horse properly."
Adrian laughed, "It's forbidden for royalty to go out side the castle."
The teacher laughed again, "Honestly, don't you ever pay attention? We were granted two hours for you to learn., which means we leave now." She walked behind Adrain and pulled him up, "Now your highness, follow me to the stables."

Penitence frowned at his sister, "We have work to do, Our spies found that royalty is leaving the castle to go to the stables." He got up and went into the next room, coaxing Pain to follow. When they were in the next room Penitence turned on a magic mirror. "This mirror Pain, you know what it does?" He didn't wait for her to answer, "This mirror allows us to control what we wish," IN the mirror appeared a young brown horse. "This horse is the one Prince Adrain will ride today. Pain, I want you to make this horse come to us. make him fast as the wind." He then left the room, leaving Pain alone. That should keep her entertained for a while, he thought to himself.
