Bio: First of all, no one knows Hotaka's first name, because she never tells anyone. She has gone by Hotaka for as long as she, or anyone that knows her, can remember. Hotaka grew up in the Slums, struggling to survive, though it is that very struggle that has taught her how powerful the will to live can be. She has learned over time how to create items that would protect her. You see, Hotaka, though she grew up, and is still in the Slums, isn't necessarily considered a Steamer. She has been able to some how, create electricity and other things in her most desperate times of need, out of no where. When she secretively asked somehow about what that meant, they said it was called magic, and only the people known as the Kante, can use magic. Luckily, Hotaka didn't say who had created this so called "magic," and she spent time and time again trying to convince herself that it had never even happened. She never knew her parents. They had either left her to fend for herself, or died long ago. She didn't spend time wondering who they were or what it might have been like growing up with them to take care of her. She knew that if she had or ever did, she would become weak, and soon die like many did in this area. Though a place like this is hard to get use to, those that know who to trust and where to go, get along just fine in this type of place. Hotaka does have a few people she knows. To her, they are her friends, but she also considers them family or just partners. She does wonder about certain things, though it may be hard to believe. Eventually, she accepted the part of her that was a Kante, but swore never to tell anyone unless she had to. Hotaka is curious as to what the cause of the war is between the Steamers and Kante, and she wished it was no more. She had to admit, she wanted to meet someone like her, in any way possible, whether it was the fact they were a Kante as well, or that they also wanted the war to end. She has been looking forward to the day when she meets someone like that, hoping it is sooner, rather than later.
Arms: Her inventions, as explained. She creates her own weapons such as, guns with special bullets. Some bullets are filled with poison and have only that and the shell. Other bullets are made from whatever metal she can find. Her favorite weapon is what she always keeps with her. A special gun with the poison bullets that were mentioned previously. As well as a pistol around her right thigh, also designed by herself.
Et Cetera: Her friends go by the names of Johnny, Ricky, Ralf, and JJ. Johnny, Ricky, and Ralf are all older than Hotaka. JJ is the youngest. Odd enough as it is, he's the one that is able to find Hotaka the most. He searches for her whenever he can sneak away from the shop. She pals around with all of them, as long as they're able to keep up with her. They may be all guys, but she is stronger than all three of them combined, so they know better than to annoy her.Johnny is 23 and has lighter brown hair compared to Ricky, who is 20. Then there's Ralf, who is 19, and of cource, JJ, the youngest, who is 17.

Bio: What a beautiful girl she once was! A princess in her own right, Kimitte was amongst the highest ranking members of the Society. Talent, poise, never has there been a more promising young lady! Then, something began to happen to her. Her mother and father blew it off as too much exposire to stress. But Kimitte knew it was something else. She was bored, plain and simple. Although it wasn't like she never had anything to do, no! In fact, she had countless seminars and parties and inventive miracle shows to attend. It was her soul that was bored. Her parents did everything they could to stop her, but Kimitte was determined. In the deep of the night, the girl chopped off all of her beautiful, long, blond curls, pulled on a worker's uniform, grabbed one of her father's weapons, and left the highest tier for the lowest of the low. Her goal is to live as a prepubescent boy in order to conceal her true identity, but as she grows older and more... developed, it's becoming harder and harder to keep it on the downlow. As such, 'Mit' hardly ever says anything to hide the fact that her voice is high pitched and girly. But so far, no one's caught on, not even the high class investigators meant to bring her back home. One of the reasons she went to the slums? Her hoity toity parents didn't dare enter down there...

Et Cetera: She wears loose, baggy clothing to conceal her curves (which are actually quite minimal... very practical on her part) and is generally very quiet and inconspicuous, giving her an innocent, shy appearance. Most people just think she's a little kid. But...she never swims or bathes with anyone (obviously) and always wants her privacy (again... obviously). Mit is a unisex name, which is why she chose it.

Gender: female
Bio: The Kalamaris were famous in society- or infamous if you ask some people. While they were one of the poorer families in society they still were a part of society and had built a name for themselves. Kalamaris tended to be lawyers or in the case of Izzy's father a bounty hunter and a lawyer. Izzy was naturally trained in all of the etiquette raising of society, but she was also trained by her father to continue the trade of bounty hunting, since Izzy's father never had another child.
And, thus, Izzy began to take missions (much to her mother's horror) when she turned 18. While, Izzy's mother is still trying to find Izzy a suitable match, which is getting harder as Izzy takes on more and more work exploring the slums looking for lost persons, Izzy works to make herself independent, buying herself the comforts she needs with the money she makes with her own hard work.
Arms: two pistols, a dagger, rope, hand-to-hand combat, and anything she can get her hands on to make a weapon in a pinch
Et Cetera: The Kalamari family tend to be eerily persuasive at times of need, being able to talk themselves out of almost anything. While this gift only springs up in times of great distress, it is a useful gift. Izzy has also discovered with enough concentration she can put one to sleep using her pocket watch and soothing words. She is firmly convinced this is only parlor tricks though.

Bio: She likes to keep her past hidden from everyone. If it gets to where she can call you a friend, she'll tell you a bit of her past. She lost her parents in the war when she was really young. She lived with her uncle until she turned sixteen, then she left. That's about all she'll tell you. She prefers to keep to herself, but doesn't mind making friends. She occasionally has a hard time really trusting someone. She's friendly, but hasn't always wanted or thought she needed friends.

Bio: Ryul grew up like any other Kante. It wasn't until he turned six that his parents knew that something was different about him. He seemed to have an affinity for fire. Whenever his parents lit a fire in the fireplace, he would sit in front of it just watching it burn. He would sit there until the fire went out or until one of his parents physically pulled him away from it. As he got older, he started manipulating the fire in the fireplace. By age 10, he had fully mastered fire manipulation. Where most kids were just learning about their powers, Ryul had already mastered his. His parents sent him to school to improve and broaden his skills. Now, at 24, he is one of the best magic users there is. When he turned 18, he was given a sword and a bow. By 22, he mastered both weapons. He's now an incredible marksman and better than anyone in Loreal with a sword. The way he views the war, the Steamers have done nothing wrong to him personally, so he doesn't have a problem with them. However, if a Steamer crosses him or attacks him, he won't hesitate to hurt, or kill, them.

Bio: Melina, or 'Lina' for short, was born to two plant-based gifted Kante. So, naturally, it was only expected that she would inherit the trait. She did. From a young age she always had a fixation with plant life. It might just have been because she was constantly around it, but no one really questioned her interest. Flowers were what interested her the most. She'd be excited when her mother or father brought home some hybrid species they had created. Sometimes she'd get a hold of a bloom and dissect it. She wanted to see the parts of the plant, and examine how it worked. Photosynthesis, chlorophyll, everything about them interested her. The simple fact that they were basically self sustaining was amazing to her. Her parents noticed her obsession, finally, and watched her carefully. Sometimes they would watch Lina go days without eating while she studied some plant, or worked in her greenhouse. Yet, she wouldn't be faint. She hated the shade and preferred the sunlight at all times. It was quite odd. She was sent to a doctor to examine, and he found out that it was her magic affecting her in that way. If Lina so wished, she could be self sustaining like the plants she so loved. Plus, after going to the Academy to hone her skills, she found out she could actually help plants in the same way. Wilting flowers would spring back up at her touch. Now, Lina has one of the best plants in the region, which she is proud of.
Arms: Bow and Arrows and a Small Dagger that is in a hilt on a belt around her waist.
Et Cetera: She is experimenting with plants, trying to make them 'alive' in some terms. She's making slow but steady progress. If she can succeed and there is another war, they'd be valuable assets.

Bio: Kesi was born to water based Kante. So, naturally, from a young age she showed an affinity to water. However, with her grandparents being elders in the city, she learned a lot from them about the past and time. Actually, her grandfather was able to tweak time a bit, something that was passed on to her along with her water abilities. The way both water and time flow is somewhat a fascination of hers. As the seconds tick by on a watch, the water in a stream makes its way that much closer to it's destination. It's like they both work in the same sort of fashion. Since she recognizes that link, it has helped her with both. Kesi might not be the best water Kante there is, but she's the only one who can mess with time as well. Because of that, she's envied by some. She tends to hang out a lot with her grandfather. He has taught her all she knows about the history of the Kante and the principles of time. For, time is but relative. He gave her his beloved watch which was made by both the Kante and the Steamers. She keeps it hidden, but always on her person, for she has found that if she goes to rewind the clock, she can 'go back in time'. However, it is more like she's watching it unfold, and no one see's her. Just like a recording. It fascinates her. Sometimes she is asked where she disappears to, but she never reveals the fact she was examining the past. At most, she says she was reading on history. Secretly, she is fascinated with the Steamers. Especially on how the Kante and Steamers worked together and got along. She hopes that there is one day that it will happen again.
Arms: Kesi has two guns that she has named Jubilee and Olympiad that she managed to get a hold of from her grandfathers archives. Well, more like she found them amongst a whole bunch of old stuff and begged her grandfather to let her have them. They were also made by both the Steamers and Kante.
Et Cetera: This is the pocketwatch her grandfather gave her that was built with the Steamers.

Bio: Emiko left, or more so, escaped with the other Kante when she was 15. Her father faught and was killed while protecting their village. Her mother, after hearing the news, grew weak with sadness from her lost husband, not even remembering Emiko was there. This was when Emiko was no more than 8 years old. (Want to know more? It's explained in my first post as a dream.)
Arms: Magic as well as anything surrounding her if she's desperate enough.
Et Cetera: She has a tattoo on her neck, though hardly noticible. At first glance people would think it's a birthmark, but this extremely permenant tattoo was put on her while she was just a child. A steamer did this to Emiko, and yet she does not blame them, or so she says. But if she were to see a steamer, one might think differently.

Bio: Born under the full moon and the constellation of Pisces, Silver was born with the gift of water and the stars. It was told that he manipulated his mother's waters to quickly leave her womb, but it was dismissed as hearsay from the fast childbirth. That was until Silver's third birth day when he managed to save a fish that was was stranded on a pool when the river spat it out. Everyone that was with him on that day saw young Silver manipulate the waters to create a small wave, a wave that freed the tiny fish from it's prison. That was the birth of Silver's enrollment on the school of magic. Just as he rose to fame in a few hours, so did it drop. Within days everyone forgot about his feat, and his days as an aquamancer began.
Arms: Water magic and his bladed staff deluge staff that contains a sphere of crystal within.
Et Cetera: He is also adept on spatial control, a gift bestowed upon him by the stars. This type of magic existed only to him, and he kept it a secret from everyone.
