Early morning. Ilum had been unable, or unwilling, to sleep the night prior and instead made his way to the top of the highest hill in the area. From here he could see out over the tops of the trees and had a beautiful view of the night sky. He had been watching so long now that in the distance a small sliver of light was breaking over the tree line. He turned his attention to this, happy to spend some time doing nothing but watch the colours shift and change in the sky and across the snow below.
Really... it was just a pitty that he had no one to watch it with.

Denika was up early. While she did love the snow, she found the winter too cold to stay still for long. So she had gotten up early and was moseying along, with no real destination in mind. That was usually how she travelled, anyway. She just wandered. It's not like she had ties to anything.
She came across the grey stallion as the sun started to rise. She smiled, at the fact she would now have company and the sunrise. "Hello!" she said cheerily as she made her way over to him. "Rather beautiful, isn't it?"

It took Ilum a quick glance over his shoulder to know that his visitor meant him no harm. He was impressed by the sight of an angeni but tried not to let it show. He figured they received looks of shock and awe a lot and didn't want to continue the pattern. Besides. There was a gorgeous sunrise to look at.
"No matter how often I see it it's always worth loosing a few hours of sleep," or an entire night's worth. "If you don't mind, miss. What brings you around these parts so early?"

She probably wouldn't have noted his awe either way. Smiling at him, she nodded and stepped up so she was by his side. The sunrise really was beautiful. No matter how many times she saw the sun rise, she thought it was absolutely breathtaking. The colours were so vibrant and so vivid.
She laughed at his question. It wasn't at him of course, just at the question in general and her answer. "Oh, nothing really. I just spotted you and the sunrise and thought it would be nice to see watch it with some company. How about yourself?"
