When Cera had been told she was going to watch over the twins on her own for the day, she had feared the worst. Even with another person, the terrible two-some would have been a handful, and now...she could only hope today wasn't going to be her last.
However, instead of watching them in the house, she took them on the bus to an indoor playground. The biggest one within a one hundred mile radius, infact. Pacific Playland. Just like it said on the tv commercial, there was everything from ball pits, to giant slides and rock walls, to an arcade and bounce houses. And of course, every last ounce of the colorful plastic was covered in children.
"It's huge." Cera gawked. "Stay close, okay? If I lost you two, I don't know if I could find you again."
Roman squeezed her hand before letting go, his hands instantly burying themselves in his pockets. He passed a slow, methodical grin to his twin before looking up at his nervous big sister. Today was going to be better than he thought.

Kieran looked around at the indoor playground. Something about it was wierd, since it was his first time ever being to a place like this...yet he couldn't complain about the lack of sun. Usually playgrounds were a whole lot....well no. The child shook his head. It was the still the same, just not outside.
"Oh, don't worry~!" Kieran grinned up at Cera innocently, "We'll not leave here without you." Latching onto his twin the boy looked around, "What do you wanna do, Roman?"

Di clung to his toy robot and peered around, clinging to his mother's leg and shooting evil looks at his sister. "Mommy, why're we here?" He asked, wrinkling up his little nose and shaking his golden curls irritably. His wings fluttered and fluffed up behind him when he heard a loud shriek that startled him - said shriek being amplified by his long, sensitive ears.
"I wanna go t' a toy store," he added. Getting things was much more fun than having to go play with other children - especially when other children might be like his sister and try to take what was rightfully his, like Mr. Bot! No, he really didn't want to be here, and it showed in the way he was quite literally starting to drag his feet as he looked around the playground.
So many other kids! Kids that had things that were-not-his; and his Mommy said he couldn't just take things... so that meant a lot of asking and 'please's and... Ugh couldn't they just go and buy toys instead?

"Because Mommy is not made of money and does not have energy to leave you loose in the house after cinnabons. Now I was nice and got you those, you have to be nice and do what Mommy wants, which is to go and play." she explained, pointing at the numerous jungle gyms and ball pits. "You don't have to associate with the other children if you don't want to, but I'd like it if you did. Who knows, you might make friends."
Ebony was not a stern or cold hearted mother, but she was not by any means interested in her son's nonsense. Di's mind seemed only set on 'take take take, mine mine mine" and if he was ever getting anywhere in life, he was going to have to learn the meaning of the word "no" and "this isn't yours"
Emmy, unlike her brother, was a ray of sunshine at this point. There were things to DO here. And and look at all those things to touch and play with and get into! And these people all had POCKETS! There was probably stuff in those pockets! Sure, Mommy said that stuff wasn't her's, and she wasn't supposed to take it, but she could try anyway, right?

Roman shrugged his twin off and looked around. "How 'bout that?" He pointed a clawed finger at the ball pit. You could either go through the front or ride a small spiral slide into the back. Roman wanted to go because a group of kids were throwing balls at each other.
Somehow Kieran's grin did everything, but give Cera hope. "Well, okay..." She twisted her hands together and exhaled with a nervous smile. The overwhelming sensations of the playground were starting to get to her, so when the boys went off, she ventured to the sitting area.
Then her mistake dawned on her. Roman still had his shinai. "Ro-!" She squeeked and covered her mouth. Where'd they go?! They were swallowed up by other kids! "I hope he doesn't hurt anyone..."

Kieran pursed his mouth in thought, "Oh alright. We'll go there." His wings fluttered nervously at the sight of all the balls being used as missles. He wondered how many bruises he was going to gain in that pit. But still it looked like fun. For once he obediently followed his twin though was obviously distracted by watching all the other kids running around.
Suddenly Kieran stopped. "I wanna take the slide." He commented looking up at the spiral slide. "But you should go first, Roman." He glanced over at his twin, "'Kay?"

Diamande pouted for a little longer, still glancing around warily as he hugged his robot toy to his chest, but at last the atmosphere of the place started getting to him - or rather, he saw another kid that had caught his attention - one who had purple skin like his Mommy did, something which fascinated Di to no end. Slipping his hand out of his mother's, Di pointed over to the purple kid with his now free hand. "Mommy! He looks like you! ... He's not gonna take you, right?" He said worriedly - he didn't want to lose his Mommy! But still, that boy looked interesting. And maybe... maybe if he wouldn't take Mommy, or Robot, he could be fun to play with?
Now there was a neat thought! What if some of the kids here liked to play with robots too?

It didn't take long for Emmy to have wrenched away from her mother and brother and gone rushing off, trying to find a way to dive feet first into the pile of colored balls that people were playing in and throwing. That looked like fun!
Sadly, on the way there, she ran face first into a bigger kid with funny red markings. The tot let out an "oomph' as the air rushed out of her and she fell on her behind, looking up at Roman in a confused manner. What was THAT doing in her way?
Ebby sighed and nodded, patting Di's head. "No he's not taking me away. Go say hello, try to be nice." she told him, heading towards the seating area and spotting...wait, that girl...didn't she know those feet?
"Cera?" she asked, tentative in the name usage since it had been a VERY long time since Ebony had seen the little greed spawn.

Roman wondered how many bruises he could dish out before they left. The bigger, the better! He frowned and looked at Kieran, then shrugged. "Fine." With his cream wings flared out behind him proudly, he started walking towards the slide.
That is, until he was almost knocked off his feet by a blur. Angrily, he turned to stare down the little girl. What WAS it with girls and running into him?! "Watch out, punk." Ya, so what if he'd heard it in a movie. The line still had the desired effect.
Cera looked up at...a purple skinned angel? She stood up nervously, her hands flittering to the front of her dress where she clasped them together. Something about the woman was familiar, but then again..." Thats me. Can I help you?"

"Alright!" Kieran actually laughed before looking away sheepishly. There was something about the rush of going down slides that the boy loved. He looked enviously over at his twin's wings. When Ro started flying he'd probably feel the rush in the air all the time. Kieran frowned before stumbling to a stop as something ran into his twin.
Rolling his eyes at Roman's behavior, Kieran looked at the girl. Unlike his twin he wasn't about to be rude to a cute girl, "You okay?" He asked reaching out a hand to her.

Clutching his toy robot to his chest, his bright wings fluttering like a frantic chicken behind him, Di made his way to where his sister had crashed and stared at the other children, particularly the one that looked like his Mommy. "Hey!" he said, trying to get their attention away from his sister. "Hey! Misters!" A scowl crossed his little face and he scrunched his nose up. "You wanna play with me?" At this point he didn't even care if it was the one that looked like Mommy or the one that didn't that said yes, so long as one of them did!
... And that one better not hurt his sister. Yeah Emmy was a girl and annoying, but she was his and nobody hurt what was his!

Emmy was not particularly familiar with being called a punk. Or with what punks were. What was a punk? However, that boy had asked her a thing! And the other one told her something! So up she stood, brushing off her clothes to look up at them.
"I'm okays! I'm Emmy!" she said, pointing to her chest and grinning, completely unphased by Roman, and totally distracted from her quest to the ball pit by these two. "You two are pretty colors. That's my brother." the sentences came out like wildfire, with barely any time for thought between them. Her name, her interest in them, and who the boy who was now talking was. "Who's yoooooooooou?"

What, another one? He shouldn't be surprised, considering the setting, but never the less, Roman felt targeted. Or cursed. Looking at the boy, Roman quirked up a boy. "Hey?" He sent Kieran a sideways glance. Was this kid for real?
With a little ninja shuffle towards his twin, Roman's attention went back to the girl. Why was she talking so fast?! Twins...okay, he saw that part and yes!, he was able to catch the last of what she'd said. "I'm Roman." He tossed a thumb at Kieran. "And that's my brother."

"Alright then, Emmy." Kieran smiled at the girl before his attention was directed at yet another child coming their way. This time it was a boy. Hmm. Kieran studied the two of them - were they twins too? Though, he couldn't help but to be a bit envious because unlike him and Ro those two definitely looked the part.
Though his thoughts were scattered when the girl started firing off questions. Jeesh! Key looked at Roman before nodding, "I'm Kieran, but call me Key." Then he refocused on the boy, the one who had asked them to play. "Play what?"

Diamande shrugged, knowing that Emmy was safe now. He looked at the opposite-twins and hugged his robot to himself. "Dunno. Mommy said I'm s'posed to play with people so I'm doin' wha' she said," he said, though judging by his expression he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea.
"Don't let Emmy steal your stuff," he added as an afterthought, feeling that these two deserved a warning about his seemingly innocent sister. "She steals my toys ALL THE TIME."
