Potions !
At hogwarts: Potions is described as the art of creating mixtures with magical effects. It requires the correct mixing and stirring of ingredients at the right times and temperatures. It is related to Chemistry, but with a more sinister twist. As to the question of whether a Muggle could brew a potion, given the correct magical ingredients, Rowling has said, "Potions seems, on the face of it, to be the most Muggle-friendly subject. But there does come a point in which you need to do more than stir." Snape's lessons are depicted as unhappy, oppressing times set in a gloomy dungeon in the basement of the castle, whilst Slughorn's, who replaces Snape as Potions Master, is shown as more cheerful and even fun at times.

Welcome to another year of heart POTIONS heart . For you new people who don't know, I'm Professor Akahana, head of Ravenclaw, and Mistress of all things awesome. It's my duty to be sure that all you little boogers can pass your O.W.L's, N.E.W.T's, and get a good job later on in life. THERE WILL BE OCCASIONAL FOOLISH WAND-WAVING AND SILLY INCANTATIONS IN MY CLASS. ^_^

1. Follow Gaia ToS.
2. Follow all Hogwarts rules, set by Headmistress Sing.
3. Please use the English language in my dungeon. No u's r's c's...no l337 speak or however it's spelled, I don't care, I don't use it, neither will you when I'm teaching.
4. Homework is to be posted neatly, preferably double-spaced so I can read it. It's not required, but when you do it, you will be given 15 house points per assignment.
5. FOLLOW MY DIRECTIONS. I'd hate to overload the hospital wing with wastes of oxygen.
6. Treat your fellows as you would wish to be treated.

Our FIRST Potion of the new year will be a sleeping potion. Nowhere NEAR as powerful as the Draught of Living Death, BUT, it's good for a headache or perhaps if you've got a cold. ^_^
Ingredients!
1 toad spleen
1 cup of black tea
3 cups of water
2 teaspoons of honey
1/2 a tablespoon of powdered dragon scales
1 cup of lemon juice.

Ayamae lounges in her chair at the front of the room with her feet up on her desk, waiting for the new insurge of kids. She checks her watch "Hmmm....I'll give 'em a few more minutes..." She begins changing the color of her fingernails to amuse herself as she waits.

Sparrow walked into the potions room and saw that she was the first one here. And she was ALONE with Professor Ayamae. She thought the professor was pretty funny and entertaining but didn't know if she wanted to be alone with her for long. Sparrow looked at the door hoping somebody would come soon. Sparrow walks farther in and says. "Hey Professor. "She looked at the board and saw the potion ingrediants, "Shall I get the ingredients to the potion out then?"

 Cloud walked in, and headed straight for Professor Akahana's desk. She looked down at her shoes, and muttered.
Um...thanks for...you know. Handling my...little problem.
She scratched the side of her face nervously and made eye contact with her briefly, before walking over to a desk by the front of the classroom and pulling out her ingredients for their first potion. After jotting down some notes, she performed a little spell to clean her cauldron and tools.

Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain Sparrow walked over to a desk and started to set up and found all the ingredients. She noticed Cloud enter, Sparrow was happy to no longer be alone. Maybe if she got to know Professor better it would be less awkward and odd. ((Aww but Sparrow is just being shy hehe she doesn't know you at all except for the odd encounters such as seeing you wander out of the forbidden forest mummbling about centaur parties and slamming your door at the end of class last year lol))
