Hello Miss Grumpy-Bum
The first thing most people notice about Mandy is the fact she seems to be in a permanently bad mood. She’ll snap at people making too much noise, that have no backbone or who just plain annoy her. Because of this most people don’t bother to get to know her or hang around her for too long so this is the only side they’ll get to know. If you are stuck with her for long periods of time though you’ll find that she tends to warm up and stops being so crabby, especially if she has to work with you. It really seems that her main problem is her lack of filter when she first meets people; if she sees something wrong she’ll say it and will not try to be polite about it, only as she gets to know you will she censor herself at all – though don’t expect her to outright lie to spare your feelings. There has been speculation onto the cause of her grumpiness and the two main theories is something to do with her older sister; trying to get her to talk about it is near impossible, and the fact that she never seems to get enough sleep. Wouldn’t being constantly tired make you grumpy? (Note – Drop Bears sleep about 20 hours a day and are nocturnal, obviously school life has made both of these near impossible.)

R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Respect, it’s the thing that makes Mandy’s world go round. If you want to get on her good side and stop her grumping this is what you need. Of course, it is by no means an easy thing to acquire but if you want one sure fire way to get even the tiniest bit of respect all you have to do is be CONFIDENT. Nothing else bugs Mandy more than someone who won’t stick up for themselves and just let’s people walk all over them. There ways to get around this nit-pick of hers if you are naturally shy though, as has been proven by Alwine. These things include proving yourself to be good in a fight or emergency situation, beating her in a drinking completion (Drop Bears are well known for their ability to hold their grog) or if all else fails bribing her for a lots of candy for a long time – though the latter will get you less respect and more tolerance. Her high regard for respect also causes her to keep track of and repay favors, such as carrying Barth’s tent for the majority of the Christmas Trip because he healed her without being asked.

She has a heart! (Shhh don't tell!)
What? You managed the impossible highly improbable and got on her good side? She has a good side? WORLD ENDING. Jokes aside if you by some miracle become this odd thing called ‘a friend’ you’ll find that whilst she may still be a bit rough around the edges she is loyal and highly protective of her select few. This is not to say that she’ll fight all your battles for you – she’s a believer in adversity making people stronger and she likes having strong friends. On the other side though she has proven she will follow her friends to her potential death but this loyalty and the trust implied with it is not unbreakable. Only her friends are close enough, beside her family, to cause her actual emotional harm and doing so repeatedly will get you ditched, Mandy is no fool.

OH GOD LOOK UP
Mandy, like most Drop Bears, has an obsession with heights. She sees a tall tree? She’ll climb it. Cliff? So jumping off that. Innocent student under her whilst she chills in said tree or is on top of said cliff? BOMBS AWAY. It’s not safe to be around her when she can climb and isn’t busy doing something else, it brings out her mischievous side. No one is safe

Once upon a time
Many, many years ago there lived a happy family with a mother , a father and one generally sweet tempered young girl. This was not to last though as the happy family soon gained another member after a surprise trip through the pumpkin patch which at the time the parents thought would just mean more joy, how wrong they would be. It really wasn’t the newest girls fault, she was a shy and kind little thing, no it was an ugly thing called jealousy that caused all the woe. The older girl seeinpg all the attention the tiny babe required grew to resent it, it was no longer about her and it was always about her before. Still the girl managed to hide this growing hate of hers from her parents as she knew they would be so disappointed in her, instead it showed when the girl was asked to look after the other by herself; ignoring her cries and leaving the young girl all alone. So the years went by and to the parents things stayed the same but secretly between the two girls things got worse and worse. The eldest would constantly ridicule the younger girl, especially for her shy nature and would ruin anything she showed the slightest bit of interest in once the parents backs where turned. The little girl would never tell her parents how awful her sister was to her for she had been convinced they wouldn’t care, she was just being a princess and needed to toughen up. All alone against this the little girl grew less kind and stopped being shy and instead became a loner, keeping only her own counsel. The older girls taunts where even enough to cause the younger to one day in a fit of anger sheer off her prized long hair, long locks where only for princesses and the higher class – not a monster like her. Even so changed by the years of hardship that original little girl is still in there, still crying out for her sister to pay attention and for others to save themselves the pain by not being like her – don’t be shy! That’s the worst offenses of hers in her sisters eyes.

She’ll never admit it, not ever, no matter what you do, but that little girl with the jealous older sister who has such cruel words and actions was her, Mandy.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Mandy has two main reasons she wants to join Amity above all other schools. One, it’s the farthest from her family and two it has a good reputation for training its students to be strong – one of Mandy’s main goals.

FEAR:
Stunning Drop
If Mandy can successfully get above her opponent and drop on them then she can stun them for one turn allowing her to get in another attack before they can fight back. The weakness to this attack is that- well have you ever tried to fall on someone? It’s hard to aim correctly.

Natural Ability:
Safe Landing
Because Drop Bears spend most of their time high up they’ve developed the ability to always land safely. It doesn’t matter how high they are when they fall, as long as someone doesn’t place something like a spike pit or a volcano under them they will fall without damage to themselves, anyone falling with them or who is under them though might not be as lucky.


Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Bright Red
Hair Colour/Style: Straight with a choppy cut, length is just shy of shoulders. Colour is a mousy brown (Hex code: #b7917c)
Skin Colour: Caucasian, mild tan
Clothing Style/Colours: Mandy has a very tomboy style but not to the extent of completely trying to hide her femininity. It mainly expresses itself in a complete distaste for skirts and dresses and like for the more neutral colours. A specific outfit she commonly wears is a leather bomber jacket (Which has emu feathers instead of wool at the collar and at the top a skull pin that can unclick into two parts when the jacket is open), a grey crop top, jeans, hiking boots with two metal spikes on the toes and a string of canines worn as a belt.
Extra: Grey Koala ears instead of human ones, sharp long-ish canines and sharp claws on hands. Also, Mandy is on the small side of the height spectrum (About 5"2).

No need to apologize, I'm sure that'll ICly happen to her a couple of times and she'll probably be pretty resigned about it. Drop Bears are after not the most common thing to hear about xD


Thank you for asking about this because I'd actually only thought about why she didn't get along with her sister, I hadn't considered her parents. I'll make sure to add a little paragraph in personality! The basics is that ever since she was little her older sister has picked on her horribly and her parents didn't exactly do all that much about it.


She's neutral, they either just slip under her notice or at most she will hold civil conversation if she has to. And yeah, that bit is slightly vague, I'm still considering exactly how to word that because she's rather case by case basis with some things.


I understand by what you mean and your right it isn't a deal breaker, under Respect I even put that 'There ways to get around this nit-pick of hers if you are naturally shy though, as has been proven by Alwine.', what it does mean is that if your a push over you'll have to try harder to get her to not be snappy with you, and that's demonstrated in the Krumm Car Train potation of the event which I don't know if you read >>. But yeah that part of her personality is a bit complicated, adding in why she doesn't get along with her sister might clear it up a bit.


I'll have to get back on this one, I haven't exactly put oddles of thought into her a fights, like what may set one off and the style. I do know she's a claws and kicks girl and prefers to have height on her opponent so she can get the drop them. So brawls might not be her style seeing as she'd want a bit of distant. Hmmm, something to think on.

Dude I've been trying to think of stuff I could say for mandy but it's harddd when you type them up all good gonk

although if you're having problems thinking on her fighting style..you could always look to koalas and how they usually do stuff BD;

Perhaps her style would be more of 'I'm grab you and never never let go!" since kolas spent much of their time in trees and on branches. She may also have a very strong grip due to this, so she could do a bit of grappling/sumo movements.
