Once, I got my fortune read. I've never been one who has read the Bible over and didn't know it was spoken against when I did. My friends at church thought I was possesed. To be honest, I found it quite interesting and even felt afterward that my relationship with God was stronger. I carried more pride as a Christian and soon after, began to do more wittnessing when I could. (Sorry if it sounds like I don't wittness anymore; I still do. But the event happened in the past and that's why I'm using past-tense) What would you say about this?

Well that is against God but if you repent from it, of course the Lord our God will forgive us.

I don't think God wants us to know the future... but in your case, you didn't know.

I think you need to get better friends.

Most fortune telling is completely false and fake. I'm a magician, so I know what it means to deceive. (The difference is everyone know's magic is an illusion and it's purely for entertainment...or a witnessing opportunity) I do believe that there are people who do use spirits to do stuff like this. That's not good and you should avoid these people at all times. So, either it's people deceiving you or demon-related, both not good. So my advice is to sty way from fortune telling. Chances are that the fortune teller that you went to was a hoax, so just don't believe them. If there is any sin in this, I think it's in trusting the fortune teller and not God.

Like what everyone else is saying, fortune telling is a sin, and believing it is just as bad. God doesn't want us to know the future, He wants us to trust him that whatever happens is His will. As for the change, I'm not quite sure. I don't know if you believed the fortune teller or if you thought it was rediculus. But your friends did react the wrong way. People who are possessed act very odd, or, so my mom says. If you're encounter made you read the Bible more, it could be that God opened your heart more and that the Holy Spirit took possession. Whatever happened, I'm so glad your professing your faith to others and making His word known.
