Boris was happily making his way through the forest with a bounce in his step and a smile stretched widely across his features just thinking about fishing. This time that one slippery little fish would not best him! No way! He wagged his tail behind him in determination, the many soothing chimes of his piercings ringing like a melody throughout the trees. Almost like an echo.
When he approached the river, he slowed in his trot and lowered himself towards the ground, crawling to the edge. He put his front hooves at the very edge, peering down in to the waters contents with eager, hungry beady cat like eyes, his rear in the air and his tail flickering around like a snake. The fish skeleton piercing gleamed in the sunlight and he licked his lips seeing it's reflection.
Here fishie fishie..!
He chanted to himself inwardly, awaiting the right moment to strike.

 Karloff stepped into the water, the ripples emanating out from his hoof. He saw this very feline creature, and he was...well intrigued. He'd not seen many others with feline natures like his or Ailbhe's. He was completely oblivious to the fact that he was disrupting the entire feline practice of stalking/fishing. He was merely just too intrigued to walk a way or hide his amusement anymore. He wanted to understand more of this nature, the more playful one that had eluded him thus far. He wanted to learn how to be more playful, to not always be so serious...

Boris was so engrossed with watching one, certain fish that even his very sensitive ears hadn't picked up the sound of another settling in to the water. His attention lifted with his eyes, when the fish he was carefully obsessing over scattered at a few slithering ripples. Eyes wide, curious and cat like, they looked over at the dark figure obliviously.
A chibi smile slowly formed on his lips, he shook himself off and stood up straight, hopping from one stepping stone to the other over the water until he was at the creatures side. He had seen much 'stranger' looking creatures in heartland, so the red eyes, huge teeth and strap on mask and booties he never even thought to question.
"Did you come to fish too?" He grinned hopeful.

This...cat wasn't afraid of him at all. It was refreshing, and apparently he was consumed with the idea of fish. "Fish?" He looked at the other for a moment, trying to make sure he wasn't mocking. "I've...never had fish before."
Once he uttered it, he felt a little foolish. He was a cat-like creature who hadn't had fish...that was hard to believe, but true.

"Never?" Boris repeated with wide eyes looking puzzled but he kept his smile, ears twitching as he turned his attention back to the water seeing the fish slyly swimming around under their shadows. He chuckled looking back at him. "You should try!" He gave a nod and jumped on to the last stepping stone he jumped from. "It's easy to do and they're delicious." He licked his lips.
He waited for a moment, getting back in to position before quickly throwing his head forward, catching a fish in his fangs. Happy and satisfied by the swift catch he straightened up and moved over to the other feline horse once more, dropping the fish on the rock in front of his feet in offer.

"Never," Karloff couldn't help but smile. This feline's smile was quite infectious. He watched as the other expertly caught the fish and flopped it in front of him, "For me?" He nosed it a bit confusedly, "What do I...do with it?"

Boris gave a certain nod, the entire reason why he had caught it was so that the soquili before him could try it. He couldn't accept that someone like him, had never tried fish! It was what he ate daily, never growing bored of the slippery delicacy. He watched as Karloff nosed it and tilted his head. He literally had no clue.
"It's food... You eat it." He motioned his jaws up and down. "All you do is take it in your mouth and give it a good ol' crunch." He chuckled, grinning. "It's up to you whether you want to eat the bones or not, that depends on ones self."

For a moment Karloff wrinkled his nose to smell it, but it did smell...good. Taking the slippery, wet body in his mouth, he sunk his long fangs into it. He felt an intense gush of blood, and a very salty taste. It was amazing! Not as good as pure blood, but still...quite great.
He licked his lips as he spit out a tiny bone. "That's...delicious." A sound most like a purr came from his lips, "Thank you. I would have never known."

Boris lowered his rump to a sit on the stone he had jumped to and nodded in agreement as the cat stallion crunched the fish and spat out the remains of his meal. He knew not all had the taste for it but he was glad that the one like him enjoyed the same meal. He wondered if he had a chance yet to hunt a bird, or mice! They were also great foods he was missing out on however fishing was one that everyone had to do once in his opinion.
"One down" He beamed, deviously as he looked away from the stallion and to the forest that bordered either sides of the river. "More to go!" He laughed, small pearly fangs gleaming as he watched a group of birds fly above, licking his lips. He cold hear the rustled of bushes in the distance and he purred gently, looking back at Karloff.
"Birds, mice. Other small creatures. They're delicious too, haven't you tried them either?" He asked curiously, lifting his front hoof to lick at the short flecks of damp fur.

Karloff laughed at his companions enthusiasm, but his face fell at the mention of birds and small rodents. "I can't do that. I can't cross that line. I...fish is one thing, but I can't kill them. It's...something I can't do. I'm sorry."
He felt foolish trying to describe it. "I drink blood, I can't kill for it. I can't start or let the seed be planted."

Boris couldn't understand why Karloff couldn't kill for food, since he was also feline he thought that was something that came natural to them but if they were killed prior, then he had no problem drinking their blood? The cheshire stared at him dumbfound. "Why? What's the difference?" Plant the seed? He already had the taste of blood wouldn't that just further the temptation and feed the need? Or was it the rush of actually hunting something down and earning your meal? He couldn't figure it out, it had always been apart of his life and somewhere inside there was a natural drawn line of which he just couldn't cross.
He thought on it some more. "Sooo if I killed a bird, you would drink it's blood? Even though you wouldn't hunt it yourself..." How strange he was.

"Yes," Karloff paused closing his eyes. It was hard to explain, but he was going to try. "I...well, I haven't killed before. I'm afraid if I start killing for blood that that will be the only way I'll want to get blood. That the blood wouldn't be enough, but that the kill would become more important or the need for larger game. I don't want to risk that. Maybe...I'm wrong, maybe I'd be okay. But I can't risk it." He paused looking at the other feline, "It's hard to explain what I feel inside of me, but you understand. At least some, don't you?"
