DJ wandered about a little. He hadn't met many others since he'd been here, and he was starting to get bored. With a sigh, he slithered up into a tree, displacing the snow on a branch before curling around it and laying his head on his paws. There he waited, hoping someone neat would come along for him to talk to for a while.

Twinkle had snuck out of the little hovel her siblings insist that she remain in "for her own good". That's what they always were telling her. She hated always being sheltered so much. She was feeling stifled with winter being there. The only good part of winter was the night seemed longer. She did like that.
She then was creeping along the forest floor. She would dart behind a tree. She'd look out and dart across some more. Her mostly dark hued pelt allowed her to remain unseen by anything dangerous. However, sometimes she couldn't help that moonlight would glint off of her earrings and anklet. She didn't give it the slightest thought though. How could something as trivial as a glint of light bouncing off of her earring bring her any harm? She was full of faith that it wouldn't.
She then paused when she happened on a little bank of snow. She started to hop all around in it. She giggled and laughed. Then, she hopped around and rolled in the snow giggling and having the time of her life. She grew oblivious to anything or anyone around her. She forgot all about being safe or even being careful.

DJ blinked boredly as he looked around, and thought he saw something from the corner of his eye. Sitting up, he turned to the direction, but didn't see anything. Another moment, and another glint in the distance. He cocked his head to the side a bit and started to slide from his branch to follow the little light. "I wonder..." he murmured, intrigued. He blinked when the glinting stopped and he heard giggling instead. Slowly he came closer to the giggling, peeking over another snow bank. He watched her for a moment, unable to keep himself from giggling. "Excuse me," he said softly. "I couldn't help but notice how much fun you're having!"

Twinkle froze in her steps for a few moments as her eyes filled with the terror of someone having discovered her. Rats... would this somehow lead to trouble? She then did the only thing she ever thought to do at moments like this. HIDE! She quickly darted into a nearby pile of snow. She did fairly well at doing this quickly. Though she wasn't thinking far enough to make sure her tail was completely covered. It was ticking from side to side as she pressed her face outside of the snow to look around for whoever that was. Her blue fur was hidden through the thick white snow. Her eyes slowly slid around the trees. Why couldn't she see that voice? Was it the trees? Perhaps.. those blasted trees.. She always knew they were up to no good. "Whooo... who goes there! You better be careful. I might be a great big giant about to eat you!"

He gasped as she darted away so quickly. "Oh! I didn't mean to frighten you!" he said. He hadn't thought about his dark coloring hiding him in the night, and shook his glowsticks a little to make them glow a little brighter as he moved closer to where she'd hidden herself. He giggled a little as she spoke. "My name's DJ, and I won't hurt you," he said with a smile, sliding a little closer to her. "Will you come out so I can see you? Or at least tell me your name, perhaps?"

The blue hued fox slipped slowly out of the bush. She paused in front of him with extreme caution and humility. "My name is Twinkle." Then, she politely blinked a few times and started to fidget in a rather demure manner. "Are you sure you're not gonna hurt me? My siblings don't like me to talk to anyone for fear everyone will eat me since I'm pretty tiny for a fox. I'm the runt of my siblings." She blushed and hid her face to the side. Her ears twitched as she wrapped her tail around to hide herself a tad.

DJ smiled. "No, definitely not going to hurt you, Twinkle. It's nice to meet you, by the way." He just smiled as she explained herself, and started to hide herself. "I can see why your siblings would want to keep you safe, I have a sister. I like to keep her safe, too," he said smiling, before cocking his head to the side a little. "How did you get out here then?" He grinned wide, seeming to look a little conspiratorial. "Did you escape?" he asked and giggled lightly.

Twinkle blushed profusely. She grew a soft and meek grin. "Oh. Yes. I did escape." Then, she giggled to herself. That innocent, naive type of giggle children have when they think they pulled one over on another. Of course, it wasn't this fellow she had pulled one over; rather her siblings.
With him having broken the ice, she stopped worrying a moment to look at him and take him in. What an unusual creature! She hadn't met a dragon before, and she found him rather curious. Reminded her a bit of a snake in a way.. or a worm even.
"Well, I was having a good time. Playing in the snow is great when there isn't someone to tell you 'don't do this' or 'don't do that'. Did you want to stay and play with me?"
