The evening was creeping in on the the day of New Years Eve. A warehouse on the west side of town had been rented out, decorated, and filled to the brim with all the needed party essentials. There was music, food, tables, chairs, and more importantly booze. More varieties of alcohol covered a single table than one could probably imagined existed. Imported and domestic, hard liquor, beer, and malt beverages. There was something for everyone it seemed. Even the back few rooms were made up and decorated for things best left out of the public eye. All was in order and ready for party goers.
A week prior invitations had been sent out. They were rather anonymous though it seemed a high school student was throwing a party. Only the last name was given but the bulk of the invitation described what the party would have in full, though instead of booze they just listed 'drinks'. Inside the invitation was also a map showing how to get to the warehouse and where to enter. Over all it seemed rather mysterious but a fair amount of students were curious and always up for a chance to party and have a good time. Especially on New Years Eve.

The Christmas break was going on quickly and though Shun tried to get Mitsu to go out, he was unsuccessful for the most part. It both frustrated and worried him. But today, he was determined to get her to go somewhere. He had run out of some options, but apparently there was a party going on that day. Better than anything he supposed.
With the absence of Tobi, he was able to go right up to her room and knock on the door. The chances of her not being home were slim so he just waited for an answer.
By this time, Blade had been released from the hospital, though he still had to take it easy. He found his wound healing surprisingly quick, but the area was still rather tender. The thief didn't mind though and didn't really question it. The sooner he got well, the better, since the wound made it rather difficult for him to do any stealing. The stitches were gone and he could technically not go around with the sling, but he did so now and then to help keep himself from moving too much.
He had heard word of the party, but he didn't really know if he wanted to go. Parties were not exactly his favorite things in the world.

It took a few moments but Mitsu finally came to the door opening it slightly and peeking out. She had obviously showered since her hair was still damp but she hadn't bothered to brush it so it was a mess. Pajamas with a panda on the front of the shirt and on the hip of the pants was her main garb for the day. Despite it being well into the evening it didn't look like she had ventured to do much today.
Seeing that it was Shun, Mitsu looked a little reluctant but opened the door to let him in. He had been pestering her for some time to go out and get out of the room....but she just hadn't been up to it. She was content to stay in her room until school started again. She would be out of her room then. "Hey..." She said sheepishly, fingers reaching up to comb through her messy damp hair.

Seeing her dressed like that, Shun could only assume that she had stayed in as usual. This wasn't going to be easy.
"Go on and get dressed Mitsu. You've spent enough time holed up in your room," he said softly. It was hard to not snap it out, but he knew it wouldn't make anything easier on his part. But it was just so damn frustrating on how adamant she was to stay in.
A part of him wondered if she just didn't want to be around him..

"But..." Mitsu looked around her room. It was a little lonely but, "Its safe here." She said quietly. "And I don't really feel like going anywhere." Nervously she made her way back to bed and had a seat, her tail coming up around her lap. "We could watch movies or something here if you want." There were a few....non-porno movies in the room that Riyo had...she didn't think she would mind if she borrowed her laptop to watch them. She was afraid to search through the video folder since she didn't remember where everything was located. It was possible she could get a nasty surprise with a simple click...it had happened before.

Leaning against the doorway, Shun let out a sigh at her answer. The idea of a movie was a bit more appealing to him, but that went against what his current mission here was.. which was to get her out of the room.
"Mitsu... you can't just stay inside all the time.. it's not healthy," he said with a frown, "There's a party going on tonight for New Years... it might just be the thing to help get your mind off of your troubles.."
He was fairly aware of a few things that were plaguing her, which only worked to increase his frustrations since he was trying to help her with that.

Mitsu seemed to quietly contemplate his words, looking like she was trying to find the best way to say no. Going out didn't sound all that great but maybe he was right. Maybe going to a party would help distract her. Finally after a good while she gave a nod. "O..okay." She mumbled quietly getting back off the bed and slinking to the closet. It took her a moment to find something to wear before she vanished into the bathroom to change.
When Mitsu reemerged she was wearing a pair of close fitting jeans, a blue spaghetti strap shirt with lace at the top, and a long sleeve gray top over it that was open all the way down the front. Her hair had been brushed finally and was thrown into some semblance of a ponytail to keep it out of the way. She still looked a little reluctant but she went to put her shoes on anyway.
"So where is this place?" She asked to break the quiet. She had gotten an invitation but had only glanced at it before throwing it somewhere in the room.

Shun was just about ready to try and keep up with the convincing bit but it seemed it wasn't needed. Feeling a little relieved as she finally nodded, he waited for her to get ready. The determined, if not somewhat concerned look he wore moments ago had shifted to his normal expression when around the girl.
"It's at a warehouse not far from here. We should be able to walk there," he replied. For a moment he brought his hand up a bit, as if to take hers, but he hesitated. He wanted to but at the same time, he wasn't really sure. The teen noticed there were a lot of conflicting if not somewhat confusing things that ran through his mind as of late.He often didn't know what it was he felt, but it wasn't as if he hadn't tried to decipher them.

Standing up Mitsu didn't notice the hand raising slightly to take hers. In all honesty it was probably for the best. The battle of conflicting emotions she had still waged on, though she yearned for things to be like they were before Halloween. When things were fairly simple and she knew how she felt. Now she was faced with Desmond trying to make up with her and Shun who had been acting strange as of late, more affectionate. Or at least as affectionate as Shun could get. She was hopeful things would run their course and settle into place but the longer she put off trying to figure anything out the more complicated it seemed to become.....and she felt horrible for it.
Leading the way out of the dorms Mitsu waited outside for Shun to take the lead so she knew where to head. "Shun," She started off curiously, her nervous hands finding their way into her pockets. "What do you think of...relationships?" It was meant to remain vague, just a curious topic. She wanted to know how he honestly felt about the subject.

As Mitsu started to get moving, Shun went on to shove his hands into his pockets, feeling a little confused with the temptation. Disregarding it, he went on to follow her, blinking as she asked him a seemingly random question.
"I.. don't know a lot about them. At all," he admitted, "From what I can tell.. some people are happy with them, others frustrated. There's.. a lot I don't really understand."
There were many scenarios he had seen, either in the highschool halls, or through various medias that he just didn't quite get.
"Why do you ask?"

Booze was the one word anybody could use to get Riyo to go anywhere. It could be under a bridge in a hobo encampment or over the river and through the woods.
Though she wasn't sure that's exactly what was happening at this rather mysterious party. She just assumed it would be weird to mention drinks on an invitation if that's not what you meant.
Though, when she got there, The realization that it was in fact booze they had been speaking of was clear as day. "Oh mamma."
And off to the liquor table she went. It didn't matter who was throwing this party. They were loosing at least $150 bucks worth of booze to Riyo tonight.

Mitsu looked hesitant. "No....particular reason. Just something to talk about." She was scared to ask anything further, maybe she was thinking too much into this. He was just being really nice trying to help cheer her up and he had said before....that he had no heart to give. That line still stuck out in Mitsu's mind.
"I was just curious...on what you thought." Then another question came to mind as they continued to walk, though it took Mitsu a moment to ask it. It was a rather prying question. "Have you...ever had a girlfriend?" She was quick to follow up, her eyes diverting to the ground. "You...don't have to answer." As of yet....she had still technically never had a boyfriend...and had slept with two guys. While she didn't up hold the normal standards of a relationship it was still a little troubling. Maybe...that's all she was good for? Desmond had never asked her out....though he had been planning to hurt her in the long run. Might as well not be committed right? Right? ......right....
A woman who looked to be in her twenties walked up to Riyo when she stepped up to the liquor table. Her hair was a crazy mess of spikes and bright colors, her arms covered in tattoos. The clothes she wore stated that she was ready for a party, and not the upstanding kind. Piercings seemed to adorn the majority of her face, but her smile was bright and cheery as she picked up a bottle. "Care for a mixed drink? I can make anything." She offered.
"Hey, Hun," A tall beautiful looking man stepped up behind the woman placing his hand on her shoulder. He was looking through the group of students that had already gathered as if looking for someone but unable to find them. "Have you seen Gummy Bear? I can't seem to find him."
The man seemed to be dressed for a party as well, his clothes tight fitting showing off his build...and other things. The only thing besides the endearing name of 'Hun' to clue anyone in that these two were a couple were the matching wedding bands they each wore. Otherwise...they seemed to be an odd pair.
"No I haven't seen him, but you know how he is with crowds. I'm sure he'll venture out later for something to eat." It was hard to know who or what they were talking about. It could have been a kid...or a pet.
It looked like there were more than just students crashing this party, there were a fair number of adults though not many passed their twenties. It was basically a club setting...without the club rules.

Glancing at Mitsu as she asked another question, Shun wondered what spurred these inquiries. He was a little hesitant to answer, but he didn't have anything to hide from her. Well except his little night job, but if it came up he suppose he'd brief her in on that. It definitely wouldn't be something he'd just tell her out of the blue though.
"No. I haven't. I doubt I'd be a good partner..." he uttered, "I.. don't know how capable I am with... that."
There was a little more hesitation as he thought things over before he shook his head. The next thing he said was a little vague, seeing how he figured many teens experienced the same thing to some degree.
"Then again I've found that I don't understand myself quite as much as I thought I did..."
Figuring he had nothing better to do, Blade went on and grabbed his coat to head on out, leaving the sling behind. He doubted he'd be flailing around or anything like that so if he took it easy at the party, he should be fine. While it wasn't really his sort of thing, maybe it'd ease off some of the loneliness he had been experiencing over the course of the month. Maybe.
Arriving at the warehouse, he was a little hesitant soon after walking in, not sure who else was around. He wasn't really expecting much, and already he was wondering if he should just head on back.

Riyo's eyes widened as a talking rainbow came over to offer her a drink. She'd seen people who were into tattoo's, but nothing like this.
At first, Riyo tried her best not to stare... But her alcoholism changed all that.
"I'll take the finest margarita you can make. Don't skimp on the alcohol." There was part of her that didn't want to drink too much tonight. This had to be somebody's party, which meant that it could potentially be Nami or Tessa's... Though she doubted it. They probably liked to gloat about that kind of thing so anonymous invitations wouldn't be very likely... Even less likely that she'd get one.
Though, her thoughts seemed to melt when the man walked up behind the tattooed woman. What a familiar face.... Brows furrowed, she was about to ask where she'd seen him before but it struck her like a sharp dagger.
"Holy s**t! I've seen you in like 50 porno's!" Riyo exclaimed louder than she'd meant to, immediately covering her mouth afterwards.
Desmond had been conflicted with attending a party, to say the least. While he'd been able to speak to Mitsu before Christmas, the thoughts of her being with another man since then had plagued his thoughts and dreams. Half of him worried about seeing her with someone tonight... What he'd end up doing...
But there was another half that had slithered up out of the dark corridors of his mind. A side that he'd tried to forget but couldn't rightfully ignore. He was a vampire, and to say his alignment was neutral was... Slightly off. Though he kept himself well composed on the outside, his mind was a rather cruel place.... And he'd thought of a couple ways of playing dirty to try and get Mitsu back.
Desmond's eyes stayed alert as he and Klyde got closer to the party, trying to spot a certain white-haired female and whoever she might be with. "Who do you think is throwing this party?" He asked to make small talk.

The talking rainbow beamed at Riyo. "You got it." Quick to throw the drink together she gave Riyo her own special mix of a margarita with Hpnotiq. "There you are." The drink was as brightly colored as her hair but promised to be tasty with a kick. She didn't seem to be put off by Riyo's sudden exclamation, rather she chuckled to herself while she made her own drink.
The man's eyes widened slightly before he smiled a charming smile that looked like it would fit on the cover of a romance novel. "So you've seen my work?" He asked as if his work were nothing more than documentaries or literature. "There's no need to be embarrassed." He cooed seeing Riyo cover her mouth. "It's only natural to be curious."
"He's good at what he does!" The rainbow chimed in with a smile, giggling a little as she downed a drink. "I would lend him out but I think I'm going to be selfish and keep him to myself tonight." She smiled almost devilishly as her hand started to creep up his shirt.
Mitsu merely nodded to Shun's answer, feeling that she had been right. She had read into his nice intentions far to much hoping....knowing the answer all along. Though the last little statement continued to dumbfound her, confusing her all over again.
Trying to put it off for now she looked up ahead at the warehouse as it came into view. She was oblivious to whoever else was approaching as her eyes fell back to the ground to watch her feet.
Klyde wasn't much better than Desmond at this point, he was conflicted about attending, but anxious to see Riyo...if she was even there. He wanted to see her...almost needed it. Like a drive that kept him going. The night he had taken her to the hospital, while not under the greatest of circumstances, had opened a small door of hope.
"I'm not sure, the Invitation had the name Labounty listed, but I have no idea who the hell that is, do you?" Stuffing his hands in his jacket pockets he looked ahead at the warehouse seeing a number of students and young adults entering. His eyes searched avidly for a moment for a hint of blonde but every girl he saw wasn't the right one.
