Sometimes it seemed like years since she'd left the pride of her birth, but Pia knew that it hadn't been nearly so long. The loneliness was getting to her. Despite the fact that she had met some unpleasant people along the way, she missed having folk around. Out here she was free of the constant wearying aggression of the lions of the pride, always struggling and striving to best one another, but freedom got tiresome after a while without a friendly face to liven it up.
Although the lioness was somewhat distracted by her troubles, she remained alert as she walked through the tall grass. She wouldn't be aggressive if a stranger appeared, just ... prepared. Pia had an open heart, and wouldn't judge someone harshly unless they became hostile, but she didn't want to be taken unawares by someone with nasty intentions. For all she knew, all prides were like her old pride, inclined to attack first without provocation. To wander into the lands of a pride like that would be a disaster.

After approaching a small tree Inchi let out a large yawn before rolling onto his back. The cool dirt felt so good against his body, and finally getting off of his paws felt even better. The male had been a rogue for such a long time that it might be assumed he was use to the treks, but traveling long distances day in and day out, without a destination was starting to take it's toll on his body.
That was all about to change, he would make sure of it.
Inchi had decided he was long overdue to join a pride. He had talked with another male about some nearby lands populated with a pride of a rather traditional culture and small lions "covered in ink".... whatever that meant. He didn't much care, all he knew was that it sounded like a place he just maybe would be able to call home.
Inchi's thought got interrupted by the sounds of a nearby footfall. It couldn't be another male as it wasn't very loud, maybe a lioness or a leopard was his best guess. He knew how dangerous other rogues could be though, so Inchi got onto his paws. Just then, Inchi could see clearly in the grass a female approaching. She seemed on alert, but hadn't noticed him yet.
"Good afternoon miss." He spoke, nodding his head. Inchi wanted to make himself known, not wanting to seem as though he was just quietly lurking in the grass.
