I love Rory. I think he may be one of my favorite companions. Amy is eh, to me, to be quite honest, although I'm happy they got married.

I think they're both really weird but that makes for a more interesting story so I guess I like them.

I think it is silly that they're called the Ponds and not the Williams. |I know it so that Amy keeps her 'magical name' but it's still annoying and inaccurate.

Yeah, I like the married couple, more importantly I can't wait to see what the Doctor meant when he told Amy, that his life is in her hands.

Katie Olivia Wild I think it is silly that they're called the Ponds and not the Williams. |I know it so that Amy keeps her 'magical name' but it's still annoying and inaccurate. ...It's supposed to be a joke. The joke is that Amy is the dominant person, the 'husband', the one who wears the pants in the relationship.

I like Rory and Amy, in fact I think they are two of the best companions ever. I'm just not crazy about them as a couple, I don't know why, I guess because they don't seem like equals to me.

I like them but not as a couple they have their moments such as the "My husband, my skirt, and your glass floor" and stuff like that and the docter is an awesome wedding crasher but not the best couple

Amy's okay. I liked her pretty well until she tried to have a one-night stand with the Doctor - that really put me off the character. She has some good moments, but most of the time Amy just comes across as scowly eye candy for the guys watching the show. On the other hand, I didn't think much of Rory at first, but when plastic!Rory spent 2,000 years guarding the Pandorica he earned respect and huggles from me. Yes, it's fun watching the Rory/Amy relationship, but she could definitely be nicer to him instead of yelling and scowling all the time.
Sorry if I come across as an Amy hater - I'm not, I just think the character could be better - but when I try to post late at night it almost always comes out muddled. lol

I agree with you almost word for word.
Amy is clever, cute, and fun. But her throwing herself at the Doctor despite being engaged really soured my opinion of her. Totally ruined the episode. Meanwhile Rory, who starts out dull and dumb, is revealed as constant, loyal, and remarkably strong.
However, I do like them together. They make good foils for each other.
