What sort of day to day life did Javan lead? To those who didn't know any better, they'd might say boring, needless, unfulfilling. But for Javan, his simple life was something that suited him just fine. He didn't feel any greater purpose awaited him out in the world. He didn't feel any sort of obligation to better himself or those around him. He didn't care much how he affected his world either. All he concerned himself with was what interested him at the time, and usually, that was another Soquili.
On this particular evening he was treading slowly through a wood, his hooves crunching through a thin layer of fresh snow that lingered only an inch above ground, knowing if the temperature rose yet again as it had been that it would be gone by afternoon the following day. This was disappointing, but only just. While the material was cold, Javen enjoyed how it glistened, reflecting what light could be found in the dim hours of the night, the moon its sole contributor. Along with the snow came the chill. Light puffs of breath wafted from his muzzle as he moved and every now and again he shuttered, his magenta scarf doing little to provide warmth. Most would have bedded down for the night after finding shelter. Javan, however, had just woken and felt his heart stirring for adventure. There was no grantee he'd meet anyone this night, in fact it was highly unlikely, but his legs needed to move, his mind needed to work.
Stopping suddenly, he lifted a leg, his head careening sideways at obvious attention. Certainly he hadn't mistook the crunch in the snow. Growing suspicious, he glanced about, looking for the source of the noise.

 Adalyn had always felt something was missing from her life. Even since the death of her parents she had been lost in the world..She had come to know her brother as a guide and as a protector. She knew someday the time would come when they would go there own ways to live there own lives. She was scared for when that day would come but she hoped it was not soon. Without him to guide her she was lost..unless she could meet the one she could love and live with if only for a short time she would take it.
As she walked through the snow she was thinking about all that and more. Wondering if the spirits she saw would ever go away or if the one for her was out there also searching..She was not watching where she was going and with a loud CRUNCH she stepped right into a snow drift. She hurried to get up but then she saw him the one from before.
She remembered seeing his face before and quickly turned to hide her face hoping he would walk right past her hoping she blended in well enough with the snow. She doughted he was the one she needed to meet more like the last likely one but she decided if she saw him she would give him a chance to move her

It took a moment to actually lock onto the mare, his eyes adjusting once again to the darkness. But when he spotted her it was an unmistaken chill that ran through his body, his body quivering with both the coolness of the night and the haunting appearance of the stranger. She was familiar, the same as she had recognized him, but from where? He pursed his lips thoughtfully...where? It hit him suddenly and he smirked. Grayson was with him along with a rather large group of Soquili, all fascinating in their own ways, but it was this female that caught his eye. Her physique was intriguing; from the clear white of her fur blending to silver, to the strange wolf skull mask she wore over her amazingly stunning blue stare.
Frozen but for a moment. Javan lost any hesitation he might have had and that other Soquili would have listened to, and slowly made his way toward the stranger, looking on at her all the while. He took on a gentle expression, his eyes bright with curiosity. Even his movement was balanced, steady, and cautious. Cautious only in that he didn't wish to scare her off. He held no fear toward here despite her haunted look.

Adalyn stood her ground the moment she knew he has seen her. She took to standing still her glowing eyes locked on the forest behind the stallion hoping he would not pursue further and would turn back. She knew not what this stallion had in store and she had already met enough stallions who seemed like to her they knew nothing.
Dispite her wishes he seemed to be getting closer to her and she grew even stiffer knowing it would not matter and was coming if she liked it or not. He seemed unafraid of her and her looks and she knew not why. She expected him to be fearful or even call or names but he only got closer.

He continued forward, only pausing once briefly when he noticed she seized up. He may not have been frightened of her, but was she of him? His head cocked to the side like that of a pup before he righted himself and continued through the snow, kicking it up with the gentle scruff of his hooves. As he neared her he slowed once more but didn't stop. Javan wanted to be respectful, wanted to not scare his new interest away, and finally a few feet away, he settled whereas if this was a male, he probably would have gone forward enough to prod them. He stretched out his neck a bit, breathing in her scent before bowing and lifting back up.
"Forgive me for interrupting your night, Miss, but I couldn't help noticing you," he spoke gently, attempting a respectful air and grace.

Adalyn took the time while he got closer to take in this new stallion. She had many only a few so far but this one had caught her eyes just as the white one she met did. He was quite stunning and he seemed to be very graceful as he moved and he looked like a respectable stallion to say the least. She let him approach her to see how close he would get. When he stopped she nodded at him as if letting him know she knew he was there.
"The same for me..I could not help but notice you.."
There it was again the hint of grace this stallion had was apparent even in his speech. She could not help but wonder if he was noble and much like a knight living up to a code like her heard friend Kamau..

She seemed like a steady mare, holding her own and he didn't expect anything less. In fact, knowing nothing of her personality and judging from looks alone, she had no reason to fear him and he had every reason to be suspicious of her. Still, her calm demeanor was relaxing, a nice change from some of the "incidents" he had run into before, still bearing the scars from one meeting with a rather nervy vampire perched on his neck. Hearing her reply, he grinned.
"Do tell me, I am not trespassing, am I? As curious as I am about you, I wouldn't want to impose," he started, flicking his bangs out of his eyes when a few strands fell before him, distracting him. "Are you alone? I'm not suggesting you're the kind of mare that needs protecting, but it seems on such a cold night as this, most would be with company."

Why was he wasting his time asking her questions? Did he have the time to hear her life story? did he even care? She considered walking away from he but she was not rude she just was not willing to trust.
"No but you should be careful where you do tread..There are many who would attack as soon as you set foot near where they live.."
She wondered how far this would get before one of them got bored with the other. She guessed not very long as when she joined it conversation would die.
"Do you see anyone else around here..? I am alone but i do not find myself in the position to be needing a guardian..If you must though you can do as you wish"

"I can't disagree with you," he said almost cheerfully, his expression sheepish with upturned brows and a lopsided grin. It was the very reason he had asked her, unsure of her disposition or if she was just as easy going as she seemed to be portraying herself as new. That wasn't the case with every Soquilli. Javan had enough experience to know this was true, although, he often ignored any sort of common sense in lieu of investigating someone he found interesting. At the very moment, that interesting someone was Adalyn.
"Oh I wasn't suggesting I'd be able to guard you. Chivalry is nice and all, but there's a part of me that sees it almost as ignoring the female's independence. If you don't want my company, I won't press you any further," he gave a little laugh, "Besides, I'm not very physical."
