RP between Kireiryuu and Summer Rain 07
(Kire) Little paws had her bounding after Kota, her newest friend. Aphrodite was slightly hesitant at first, but curiosity got the better of her and here she was, following after him to somewhere she had never been before.
As she called out to him, "Hey! Wait for me! Don't leave me behind!" Not that she thought he would, she just wanted to say it really.
(Summer) He laughed as he ran in front of her, calling from behind him, "Hurry up slow poke!" This was it. this was the day he was going to teach her how to swim. Being best friends they had to have something to do together. What kind of friends didn't do stuff together? He was going to make swimming theirs. No matter what! He was going to teach her how to swim!
They came to a small outcropping of rocks. The tall rocks made a shield from the water. Among them, was a little tide pool, just deep enough to get your legs wet, but not too deep to slip and drown. "Come on, this is it." He said as he stood at the edge and looked into the pool.
(Kire) She would have stuck her tongue out at him had they not been running, and he being ahead of her to not see the silly gesture. It sure didn't feel like a long time when she stopped right next to him at a little tidpool surrounded by big rocks. The water was rathe calm here, with plenty of little critters in the area.
She turned to look at him curiously, "I've never been over here before...this is...pretty neat." She admitted shyly. It wasn't until he moved that she realized what he wanted. Her, to go into the water! Oh dear.
She took a few small steps towards where he was, her toes just barely touching the water.
(Summer) He smiled at her when she walked next to him. "See? This way you can get used to the water without it moving. Makes it a whole lot less scary right?" He looked over to her, tail wagging, sure his plan was perfect.
(Kire) She looked at him and then at the water. His plan made sense, at least it did, but she was so very scared!
As she stood next to the water, her eyes gazed down at it. She raised her paw slightly and dipped it into the water before pulling it out. Eyes gazed at it, the pink was still there even if it was a little cool. She placed it back in so the water came slightly above her toes. Eyes widen in surprise. Oh my! The water was around her paws! "Kota...oh my gosh."
(Summer) He smiled and jumped around in a circle, "You're doing it! Your doing it!" He shouted before running to the other side and sloppily wading in, the water coming up to his ankles. He walked into the middle of the pool, where the water came halfway up his arms, and made his way closer to where she was. "See? Nothing bad's happening." he laughed a little, surprised at how fast she was going.
(Kire) His excitement made her want to do this. She didn't want her sister constantly picking on her because of her fear. She trembled a bit as she stood there, not making another move yet. Still trying to get used to it all. Kota could move so freely but she was frozen stiff.
Her eyes followed him before they shifted back to her paws. With a shaky breath that was caught in her throat, she raised one paw to go a step forward. As the water rose to her ankle, she yelped slightly at the cool water. Fearful of the water, she looked back at Kota with a shaky nod, "Nothing bad, nothing bad yet..." She tried to tell herself over and over softly, to not be so scared.
(Summer) He smiled lightly and walked over to her. Standing next to her, he took his paw and placed it right next to hers. "I'll do it with you." He said as he looked over to her. "Nice and slowly, we'll place our paws on that rock." He motioned to a small rock a few inches form the surface. "On three." He looked back to the water. "One.....two....."
(Kire) He came over to her side and she glanced at him. His presence was reassuring as she felt a tad bit more confident. Perhaps it was because he was so nice and helpful and patience with her...unlike her sister!
She looked down at the water and then back at him. As he counted down, she softly said "Three..." as she hesitantly followed his movement forward, with one paw and then another.
(Summer) As they stepped on the rock, he waited a few moments in silence, unless she got too scared and pulled out quickly.
When she stayed there, he looked over to her and smiled, "You did it." He said softly, as he looked back down to her paw. "Aphrodite, you're in the water."
(Kire) After a few more steps, she stopped and heard Kota's words. Oh my! Her eyes were widen in surprise, with a little fear as she glanced down to see the water almost reaching towards her chest. This...was the farthest she has ever gone. This...was so scary because it was so new to her!
She looked at him with wide eyes, "I....I've never been this far before." Her body trembled slightly at the fear, but she was so happy there weren't any big waves to worry about here in the small tidepool. Her eyes were focused on the water as she spotted a starfish near her right paw. Cautiously, she poked it, "A...starfish!"
(Summer) He saw her shake, and walked closer to her so they were almost touching. When she noticed the starfish he laughed, amazed how something that small could distract her and take away her fear. "Your doing so well Aphrodite!" he said as he looked down to the starfish.
(Kire) His presence was comforting since she had someone by her side as she watched the starfish curiously. She had never seen one close up, so this was so new. A few fish swam past her, tickling her legs as she yelped in surprise. It felt so weird!! She stayed put, not sure she could move any farther, but this was the farthest she had ever been...so this was such a huge step for her after all!
After a few more moments of watching, she looked back at Kota and slowly smiled, "Thank you so much Kota. This has helped me out a lot....I've never been this far into the water before."
(Summer) He watched the fish swim past them and he laughed lightly as they tickled them. "Your welcome." He said as he looked back over to her, "I'm glad I could help." He laughed lightly, "This way, we could go swimming once you get more comfortable."
(Kire) She watched all the little curiously. They were so cute! After some time, she turned to head back to the shore of the tidepool as the tides were changing. Getting out of the water, she shook herself, watching the water fly everywhere. That...was such a good thing for her, and she was lucky to have Kota here to help her.
"I think I need to start heading back to my family because they wonder where I've been. Hopefully I see you again!" She told him with a smile on his face.
(Summer) He nodded as he watched her get out, still standing in the pool. "See ya, Aphrodite." He was glad he had been able to help her. She had done so much so fast. He couldn't believe that she had done all that in one day. Maybe they'd be swimming together in no time.
