TNA Champion Jeff Hardy will plead guilty to the drug charges pending against him when he appears in court on January 20, according to Moore County district attorney Maureen Krueger.
Hardy was arrested back in September 2009 after police raided his home in Cameron, North Carolina. He has been free on bail since his arrest.
According to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office police report, police found 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia during the raid. Hardy was hit with a long list of charges – including:
* Conspiracy to traffic in Opium * Trafficking in Opium by possession * 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute * Felony possession of cocaine * Felony maintaining a controlled substance in a vehicle/dwelling/place * Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
District Attorney Krueger declined to comment on whether Hardy would be offered a deal or would avoid jail time in exchange for his cooperation.
Maybe he'll get the ******** of my televisions now.

Since I hadn't heard anything about this in the entire year and a half since the original news of his arrest, I honestly started to assume that it was just a hoax.
It wasn't, was it? Please tell me it wasn't.

Honestly, IDEK why they even ended up signing Jeff Hardy with his substance abuse history. I understand he can draw crowd like nobody else can (even though he used to be one of my favorite wrestlers) but RVD at this point has more cred than The Anti-Christ of Professional Wrestling does.

For the past decade or so, Jeff and Rob have pretty much done the same things.. Hardly changing their gimmicks, wardrobe and move sets. I can't believe I'm saying this but RVD is starting to bore me. I mean at least CENA ADDED A DROPKICK to his arsenal!

They can get the crowd so excited and entertain them so much that they don't even need to do that. And they are willing to do more than Cena will in the first place. Cena won't jump off a ladder and a titantron (Even though he did only once during the TLC match against Edge a while ago)

Should the drug trafficking charge be dropped, it is likely that he will face penalties via fines and probation since he's a first-time drug offender, thus avoiding jail time. The negotiated plea takes place Jan. 20.

We never hear from him backstage, nothing in the news report lately concerning his latest thoughts on his status, plus the fact that he had 3 injuries in a very short time is enough to discourage any young, talented and willing wrestlers to push their moves a step further. However, I'm on D's side on this one. RVD and Jeff have been on the same level as Cena is for a little while, and this didn't stop them from raising the bar with their moveset. Plus, Hardy was one hell of an attraction to little kids, which made him a piece just as valuable as Cena. You think Vince would try and lose him to an injury? Of course not! So why giving him the right of doing his stunts and not Cena? That's where your logic is wrong and this proves Vince may not be the one to blame for Cena's lack of variety.

I believe that Jeff quit (and charged with a hell of amount of drugs), and RVD got arrested for drugs yes? So while they can draw a crowd, doesn't mean that Vince is going to give them that chance now the WWE is PG. Plus getting hurt, then not fully healing as the E needs you because they lack star power well you can't really blame Vince for not letting his top star do huge spots like RVD and Jeff. Cena is more of a power house while RVD and Jeff are 'spot monkeys' that's their gimmick.
