Last year our band went to Cleveland, Ohio where we had gotten to go to Ceder point which is awesome. This year we're going to Wisconsin for mostly a water park called Noah's Ark Water Park it's going to be awesome!

Anybody else doing trips?

Freshman Year: Disneyland
Sophomore Year: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Junior Year: Six Flags Magic Mountain

This year, my band director's TRYING to get us to be able to go perform at Disneyland (we didn't perform at the other three things, just ran around the amusement parks and went on rides and stuff).

With the old director, the band traveled to China, Australia, and New Zealand (China in 2005, Australia & New Zealand in 2007). They even got to perform at the Sydney Opera House! The director was also planning on trying to get the band into the Rose Parade, which probably would have happened during my four years if he hadn't moved to another school...

My current director wanted us to go to Hawaii in 2009 or 2010, but the district said no...

We're suppose to go to Hawaii this year, but our teacher decided we'd go in 2011 winter.

other than that, we've yet to leave our state.

we used to go perform at disney world every other year
but then our director quit and we got a new one
he planned to take us to NYC to perform and sight-see
but then he slept with a student so we got a new director
the new director is also a pastor or something at his church, so he doesn't have enough time to take us places

My school has Europe trips for senior ensembles every three years. Next year we're going.

No one knows where, but our BD mentioned China. It's not in Europe, and it's a little crazy, so we're not sure if she was kidding or not.

It's currently 119, including color guard, but throughout my four years it's gone from 160->140->125->119. To my understanding, during the China and Australia trips, the band was larger, but only people who wanted to go and could pay the trip cost went. The Disneyland and Santa Cruz trips were also optional, but the Magic Mountain was basically mandatory because it was the day after a competition.

This spring my band will be going to Disneyland and Universal Studios. I'm really excited! We auditioned with the other high schools in our district to get into the Rose Parade next year, but we students haven't heard anything about that yet.
