Shades of twilight wings tilted, the silvery stallion banking into a lazy spiral downward from the clouds. The fierce rush of wind made him laugh, snapping his flowing mane and tail back behind him like banners. Tucking his hooves and angling his wings, he abandoned the spiral in favor of a falcon-like dive. It was a stunt an old family-friend had taught him as a young stallion, one of his favorites in-air whether he was by himself or showing off for friends. Abandoning the dive with a snap of wings, Delrialto resumed the lazy spiral and landed at a careless canter, his hooves thundering over emerald grass. Slowing his pace he gave a few cursory flaps of his wings before folding them to his back. Almost-glowing eyes scanned the field he had landed in, noting the shadow woods not far away and the lake even closer. Pacing toward the body of water he hummed to himself, flicking his tail as he came to a halt and drank deeply. It was a beautiful day for a flight or a race, that much was certain. "Not the kind of day you want to spend alone, Delri..."

Nolens Volens ventured through the shadowy woods. Her smaller than average form managed to maneuver easily through the forest. She had been sent out on a search for a certain flower by her caretaker to find. She had tried telling her that the flower was out of season and it was not possible to find them, but when she finally opened her mouth the words could not leave her mouth. The mare sighed mentally as she searched and searched for that pretty flower that had a sweet smell to it.
Wandering out of the forest, she roamed the shores of the lake for the flower. Taking a couple sniffs of the earth around her, she tried to locate that distinct smelling flower but she could not come up with anything, and little did she know a stallion was in her pathway to her search of the flower.

"Probably should figure out something to do, you know..." The mixed-blood stallion murmured to himself. Now hock-deep in the water of the lake, Delrialto splashed with one foreleg and chuckled in amusement. The diamond-clear water rippled with each strike, lapping away from the shallows and disappearing into the blue depths. As far as he could tell, near the center of the lake the water was more than enough to cover even the tips of his ears, so just to be safe he didn't venture into the deep blue. He wasn't really interested in doing that much swimming today. Gravel and pebbles crunched and sighed under his cloven hooves as he paced along in the shallows, having little care for the water weighting the end of his tail and the lightly trailing end of his mane. Overhead the sun disappeared behind a cloud, the sudden overcast making his markings gleam brighter against his storm-colored coat. His strides had picked up to a jaunty trot when the faint scent of another and the distant sound of movement in the woods caught his attention. For a moment he wondered if he'd stumbled across his best friend in his wandering, and then decided that it was unlikely for Raik to be wandering here. So perhaps, a new friend? Spinning in a half-rear he faced the general direction of the scent and moved toward the woods. Hopefully it wasn't a Kalona or a Skinwalker, he'd rather not be eaten today if he could help it. "Umm... Hello?"

The young mare kept her senses open for any possible threats. Her ears were perked up and constantly swiveling at every noise. Her eyes were busy with scanning the area around her and mentally occupied with trying to recognize flora and decipher if it was the flower her caretaker wanted. Her sense of smell was occupied with trying to find the scent of the sweet smelling flower she was searching to find,
The smaller mare than average was not too aware where her body was taking her though. The usual precautions she would take when she was venturing out and away from her caretaker got sloppy. It did not too long for the mare to be in open view and out of the bushes. The constant sensations of leaves and branches brushing up against her body felt odd, but it did not register quickly enough for the mare to do a thing about it before she was exposed. The next thing she knew was hearing the sound of hooves on gravel, but it was not her. Her mind snapped to real time, and took her eyes off the ground. Her neck finally found its position standing upright rather than parallel to the ground looking for a flower. Her ears flicked back at the sight of an unfamiliar horse, a male horse at that. She did not know if it was too late or not, but she would at least try… The mare tried to go back into hiding in all hopes that the stallion did not see her at all.

Jostled from his careless wading Delrialto scanned the forest, searching for who was making the rustling and snuffling noises. It didn't sound bigger than him, so he hoped it wasn't a Kalona or a Skinwalker. Was there a chance it was tracking him? He had no notion of how his scent carried to a predator's nose, or how a Kalona or Skinwalker hunted. Maybe he should be running, or flying, or something -away-. A Skinwalker couldn't follow by air, and there was a chance he could fly faster and dive harder than a Kalona, maybe evading them... He blinked in surprise when the mare appeared -clearly occupied and unaware of his presence- and instantly felt bad when he startled her and she tried to back away. "Oh. Wait!" He called, shuffling toward the bank. "I'm sorry, please wait? I didn't mean to scare you..." He trailed off rather lamely, unsure what to say to keep her from running off into the forest. And if he went after her? That would scare her worse, and he wasn't liable to be much good at following, water-logged from his antics. He probably didn't look dangerous, but rather ridiculous. But maybe she was just shy of males, or winds, or... Idiots splashing around in the water. "If this is your place, I can go... I didn't mean to intrude."
