He was BORED. Sitting in the Garage, watching Kellie work on Cars, getting herself all greasy....It just wasn't cool. Nagendra had been taught sort of how to help the gear-head, but...Why would he get someone like HIMSELF dirty for the sake of a car? Letting out a snort, he moved out of the garage slowly. She wouldn't notice him gone for a little while, and it would give him time to just ******** about for a bit. Running down the road, the little dragon-featured boy found himself outside of a cafe. Brushing back his crimson hair, the boy studied the place with calm green eyes, ivory horns curving back, tail flicking back and forth. Something smelled good in there. Making his way in, the Scent peered about, wondering just what all they served here. He'd managed to snitch a bit of money from Kellie, and he'd be able to at least have something tasty to drink, "...Hmmm...."

Arius was less bored. In fact, he was so remarkably not bored, that when the kid came wandering in, he nearly tripped over him, complete with a full tray full of teas and other equally sloshy beverages. Backpedaling slightly, he took a deep breath, preparing an apology for whichever customer he'd tripped over, only to...realize that it was a kid. A very ODD kid at that...and he smelled. Ah s**t. Olivia really needed to watch it with the handing out of those oils. "Hey...careful..." He smiled faintly, trying to suppress inward frustrations. "It's dangerous to knock our kind around you know, I hear we're still a little sloshy on the inside..." Just teasing, really, and this kid...well damn, he was certainly interesting, one of the more exotic scents he'd ever laid eyes on. Tossing dark hair from his eyes with a movement of his head, Arius spared a glance down to see if he'd spilled anything on his white collared button-up. Nope, still good!

'Gen's eyes turned up to Arius. Sniffing slightly, the little Scent recognized the smell of another of his kind. Grinning at his joke, the younger of the two brushed a bit of his hair back, smirking slightly, "I'm sure. I'm Nagendra~ And you are?" He offered his hand, curious about him. He was one of the older Scents that Nagendra had met, and the selfish little scent was just plain intent on getting people to like him. This one would too! There would be no excuse if he didn't. 'Gen just couldn't allow that.

"Arius." He replied, very carefully balancing that tray on one hand as he offered his other to the younger Scentling. "But Ari works too..." He laughed softly, "So yeah...where's your parent? Did you ditch 'em?" If so, his manager was so going to have him keep an eye on the rogue kid. Auuugh. Scent or no, babysitting duty, even the casual kind, had never been his favorite. But surely this kid couldn't be as hard to handle as Rhil. Right? Yeah. Crossin' fingers on that one.

"......." Ah s**t. He'd asked about Kellie....Time to come up with an excuse. QUICK. "Um...She's....Uh....Busy." He wasn't supposed to be with her at the garage, noooooo. "She gave me some money to come do what I wanted for a bit." A lie, sure, but true enough! She'd left her purse lying around, which afforded him an ability to get money, to do what he wanted, therefore....well, in his roundabout logic, it worked. "Arius....You're really handsome, you know that?"

If he thought he could do it without upsetting a few drinks, Ari would have enthusiastically facepalmed. Great. It was one of those. Bad enough that his kid 'brother' was coming onto him these days... (ok, he wasn't really all that sorry for that), but now it was twerps half that size. Not that this boy didn't have promise, hell no, he'd probably be drop-dead gorgeous once he reached his teens, but right now...ah, yeah....***** wasn't exactly his schtick. However, he grinned, leaning down, "Well if you think so, then you can come back to me in a few years and tell me that again..." And he winked playfully. "So go ahead, I'll get you a table then, if you want to buy something to eat, and just let me get these drinks where they need to go and I'll be right back, ok?" He'd have to have met another Scent on the damn job, wouldn't he? Turning, he indicated one of the clear mini-booths that he'd cleaned not five minutes beforehand. "Is right here good?"

Dancing down the way, he took a seat on the booth, looking at Ari curiously. "Yeah~" Sitting, he leaned his head on his hand, "As for food and drink~ Just gimme whatever you'd recommend. I'd love to see what you have." He smiled flirting, unabashed by being told to come back when he was older. The elder was gorgeous, and so long as he said they were at least friends, 'Gen would be happy.

"Well that depends...what do you like? Do you want like....food or sweets?" Setting down tea and a lemonade at the table next to him, he wandered back over to the smaller Scent, Arius tucking the tray under his arm. Brows went up slightly at the other's mannerisms, and he had to chuckle. The lad reminded him of himself at that age, and he could scarcely say that he'd gotten better. Though....lately...he'd been thinking of...maybe trying for a significant other, as he was surrounded by a certain triad of people whom he'd adored when younger...now that they were kicking about together once more, well...yeah.

The Scent thought for a moment, "I like sweets." Kellie always made him eat the healthy stuff! "And tea." He liked tea. It was....classy. "I like things that are rich and smooth....you know?" He smiled sweetly at the other, HOPING he'd know something that would fit. It would be tasty....

"Mmmhmm...how do you feel about chocolate?" He inquired, arching a brow as though he knew exactly what he had in mind should the other's answer be to the affirmative. "I also have a tea I think you'll particularly enjoy...this cafe is a bit of a classy place and, honestly, I've tried every darn thing on the menu, even before I worked here." He'd also taken more than one individual on a date to this little place...it had atmosphere, after all, and served excellent cuisine without being horriffically expensive. Both bonuses for him.

Grinning widely, the answer was, "Any Chocolate so long as it's not the crappy kind!" He loved the chocolates that were more expensive, which Kit had gotten him once. Adoring it, he'd fallen in love, craving the stuff ever since. The boy wondered just what the other had in mind, recognizing that glint, "So.....You got something then, Arius~?"

He just winked and nodded, "Sure do, but I think I'll surprise you with it...I'll be back in a few minutes, all right? You just sit tight." Ah that kid's guardian was so going to kill him for putting the boy on a sugar buzz like this, but he couldn't help himself....Arius liked to show off, and even though he didn't own the place, he had a certain pride in his place of employment. It was a great little gig, certainly worth all of the hanging around and chatting up the management beforehand. Waltzing back towards the kitchen, he stopped at a couple of the other tables that he was waiting as well, just to make sure they were doing all right.

Eagerness squirmed in 'gen's stomach as he watched Arius. The other seemed to be one of those Scents who would understand him, and as far as Nagendra could see, he had another friend. It made him happy. Looking at a clock, he thought for a moment. Kellie would be another 20 minutes, enough time for him to eat fast, and maybe to pay, if she finished her repair today, slowly...

It was less than ten minutes before he re-emerged, and he had a glass of dark, almost cinnamony looking tea with him, as well as a plate, with a rather luscious slice of chocolate fudge truffle cake, all smooth and rich flavors, with a caramel sauce drizzled on top of it. Setting them both in front of the other, he grinned widely. "Whatcha think? No wait, don't tell me...taste it first..." And with that, he set elbows on the table, moving to lean there, red eyes a'gleam. Yeah, sometimes he missed being a kid, he couldn't lie.

Raising a brow, 'Gen tried the tea first, taking a slow taste, rolling it around in his mouth, before swallowing. Those eyes lit up, and he looked delighted, "Oh my god....." He couldn't help but nigh-on drooling. Moving to try the cake, he practically moaned as the thing melted in his mouth, "Mmm....Holy god.....That is amazing, "

"That was about my reaction the first time that I'd had the food here...knew I had to stick around after." He laughed softly, leaning towards the other. "It's fairly wondrous...if you want anything else, just let me know, eh?" The adolescent scent winked then, moving to set another drink on a nearby table.

Smiling flirtily at the other, he nodded, before eating slowly, savoring every bite. "It's incredible." Those eyes fluttered shut, as he let his lips seal around the cup, sipping as much as he could from the cup he'd been given. This was so delicious! He wanted more. Of course, at that point, he noticed a figure moving down the line of shops, and that caused him to sink into the booth. "Uh oh..."

Arius knew that look, and it screamed 'busted'. Arching a brow, he watched the other, seeing a mirror of himself in the child's slump. Heh. How often had he given that look upon seeing a wrothful Farlest coming his way, outward demeanor calm, but those green eyes absolutely burning. "Mmm. Is your guardian coming?" He inquired lightly, a rather knowing look on the older Scent's face. Ah, the woes of being an explorative youngling.

The boy grinned, weakly, smiling at Arius, "Umm......Yeah....sorta. Kellie's right..." And then the scarred woman burst in. She knew people were looking, though she didn't really care. Silvery blue-violet gazed coldly at her 'kid', and she groaned lowly, "Nagendra....I found you." She was breathing slightly hard, her eyes studying him with a gaze that mixed between worried and angry, "You little.....I've told you not to run off! When you're in the Shop, I really can't have you leaving. I'm supposed to keep an eye on you..."

Arius took a step back then, out of her way so that the two could converse, but he smiled pleasantly enough, eyeing the other's guardian. Well she wasn't too bad on the eyes, scarred, certainly, but not at all an unpleasant-looking woman. Ack! Wait, he had to stop that...he was trying to form a relationship elsewhere, right? Taking a deep breath, he waited until they paused to interject. "Well, if it's any consolation, ma'am, he didn't cause a whit of trouble." Ah yes, Ari was all smiles just now.

Kellie's gaze turned on him, and with a soft breath, she calmed herself, "Thanks. It helps a bit to know that 'Gen's not been getting into trouble, like he usually does. Did you watch him....?" Geez, this guy was young. Glancing back over at the Dragon-like boy, she gave him a look that plainly said 'you are in so much trouble when we get home.' Nagendra shrunk back, whistling to himself.

He nodded slowly, "Yes. I greeted him when he came in the door. I think it helps, perhaps, that we're both Scents." Unlikely, but better than telling the woman they were both flirts, as that would likely get Nagendra in even more hot water than he already was. "We had pleasant conversation." Though he could already tell that it had probably been a rare occasion, and that Nagendra was far too happy to go out and raise hell with people he didn't get off on the right foot with.

She sighed, softly, "Well, that's good, I guess. I see he had you bring him food too. How much?" Kit knew that, by coming to get 'Gen, the little one wouldn't relinquish a scent of pocket change. Not at all. She gave him more than enough each week....and he still hoarded some under his bed. Crazy kid. Afore mentioned little one grinned at Ari, while Kellie was distracted, mouthing a distinct "Thank you."

Arius tossed a wink at Nagendra before turning back to Kellie, offering her the receipt for the order thus far. Luckily he hadn't managed to stack up much of an intimidating bill, and yet again...the cafe wasn't at all overpriced. The woman shouldn't kill her little responsibility this time...probably a little grounding, but Arius suspected that the other scent could shimmy his way out of that in short order.

Taking it, she looked over the price, and sighed, "'Gen, you're lucky I can cover your expensive tastes." It was lightly admonishing. Probably since he was looking at her with pitiful green eyes. As soon as she looked away again, he was grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Digging in her bag, the greased stained woman offered the amount to Arius. There was a decent bit extra in there though. For babysitting, 'Gen, she figured it was good payment. "Keep the extra as a tip for watching the brat." The last bit was said lovingly, as she reached over to ruffle his hair, ignoring his protest.

He half-bowed to her. "Sure thing...that's very generous of you. And if you ever want some tips on raising half-wild Scentlings," That said half-teasingly, though Ari had been one himself, " I can always give you my guardian's address. I'm sure he'd love to talk to other parents." After all, it felt like the Scents always got to mingle, and the parentals were left behind as their younglings became more independent.

Kellie laughed softly, "I'd like that, thanks." 'Gen looked at her, "You're gonna wanna make yourself look better first, Kellie." He muttered, glaring at the grease stains, the nasty bandana, oft used for cleaning engines, and her tattered tank top and shorts, "I wanna go home." This was announced more loudly, trying to distract her from everything else. Glancing away as she glared, he was grinning to himself. "'Gen....We'll go home alright....I'm gonna....I swear..." Smiling again at Ari, she spoke with a half-laugh, "I could use the help."

With that, Arius took a piece of receipt paper and scribbled the address down on it, offering it to the woman and then waving at Gen. "It was lovely to meet the both of you, and I do hope to see you again." As it looked like the little scentling was more than a bit of a handful...though there were few that could have rivaled Arius in his youth. He honestly did pity Kellie for when the little terror got bigger.

Grabbing 'Gen by the waist, the capable mechanic dragged him off the seat, picking the boy up in her arm. His wiggles of protest, she ignored, until he started smacking her with his tail, at which point she set him down with a rolled eye. Glancing over her shoulder, the paper in hand, she smiled, "Thank you. I have no doubt you'll see us again."
