Heavy hooves hit the sand with a slushing crunch, as the mare's weight pressed against the grains with every step she took. And it was many steps indeed, this desert landscape seemingly endless for three nights now! But that was of no trouble for the soquili; she was used to traveling far and thus had prepared herself ahead of time. Although, the small supply of food in her harness was slowly running low.....she could only pray to find the grasslands soon.

With a sigh, Nhekayla shook in her armor, an effort to catch some breeze to her dark fur in the hot sun. After all, her wispy tail could only do so much to flick a breeze against her legs. Glancing left and right with low-lit eyes, the mare debated her options. A crest of mountains could be seen in the distant left, and it seemed an interesting challenge on how long it would take her to travel to its shadows. Hmmm.
