 Pavitra ducked his head down to the waters surface and hesitated. He could clearly see his reflection now that the wind had settled and the trees provided the good background, causing his white to bounce off.
Self admiration didn't come naturally to him, but sometimes he caught even himself mesmerized by his pupiless eyes. They were an oddity that confounded him because of their unnaturalness. And sometimes they scared others, even though it kind of went with the pattern. Ya' know... Solid white... ness.
Focusing back on the water itself, he opened his muzzle and drank deeply.

With a snort and a tuck of fawn-like hooves, the tri-colored stallion neatly leapt a felled tree. Landing with a soft skitter of black hooves on whispering grass, Raikinti admitted to himself the leap was still more of a deer-like bound, and chuckled at the thought of how his best friend would have teased him. Bound along, Oh Stag of the Forest! Ahhh already he missed the impish-tempered wind. Still, finally being in the homeland of his best friend meant they would see much more of each other, something he greatly looked forward to.
For all the teasing that would occur.
"It must be why I keep him around..." He admitted to himself with a soft laugh, picking up a trot as he continued on through the woods again. He'd made good time in travel, but found that he was rather parched and not quite sure of his current location. "I guess I'll find some water and then maybe see if I can find someone to tell me where that village is..."
Short tail flicking over his haunches, Raikinti raised his muzzle slightly and inhaled deeply, altering his course toward the scent of water. The forest was lovely, lovely enough to be his new home he supposed, as he preferred it's secretive paths to the wide-open of the plains. Just a nature of his, but with a good source of water nearby at least he had a potential home that was -hopefully- near his best friend.
All thoughts fled as he stepped out of the woods and spotted a solid-white stallion drinking from the water source. Blinking in surprise Raikinti took in elegant wings and a spiraled horn before noting the leonine tail. Like Delri's sire, but also his grand-dam. What was that again? An Alicorn?
"Umm.. Hi."
Smooth talking there Rai, way to go.

Pavitra had been so engrossed in thought that he had been completely oblivious to the entrance of another creature. Let a lone a creature of his same species. Jerking his head form the water, his head whirled so he could see if he was in danger but in the process of whirling, his legs became tangled and tumbling into the water he went with an, "Ahhh!"
Sputtering water, he tried to raise his wings as high as he could to keep them from being drenched. You just couldn't fly with went wings. And you didn't know if you were going to have to escape at any moment. That thought forced Pavitra to look at the horse again. He seemed nice enough.
Wait. Why am I still lying in the water?
Rising with as much grace as a horse can while being weighted down with water soaked fur all the while keeping the wings raised, Pavitra was on his feet. Dripping.

Raikinti hadn't thought his approach had been all that silent, so to see the other stallion so startled by his presence made him take a skittering series of steps back. Head flinging up at the "Ahhh", he took a half step forward and then winced at the sudden splash.
"Look- ... out?"
Inching toward the edge of the water, he eyed the stallion and the raised white wings, tilting his head in curiosity. "Are you alright?"
He took another step toward the water, stretching his neck out slightly as he considered the other. "I really... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you... I didn't even realize anyone was here, and, yeah... Sorry."
He ducked his head shyly, ears flicking back and then forward again. So much for a good first impression.

Oh. Good. Someone with manners!
"Oh no, no, no! I am sorry for causing such a ruckus!" Pavitra's head swung and he outstretched the front half of him as if a two-legger would when trying to demonstrate emphasis. "I need to pay attention much more. I'm always being startled." Ducking his head and embarrassment, Pavitra kept his eyes upward turned. He looked so darn cute. "Please forgive me."
Noting he need not keep his wings out, Pavitra retracted them and let them lay snugly at his sides.

Raikinti shifted on his hooves, fidgeting slightly as his tail flicked from side to side. The short sunset-shaded strands slid over the white stripes on his hindquarters, gleaming in the afternoon sun. He tilted his head, considering the other with interest. This strange stallion reminded him of the white swans that he'd always admired, gleaming feathers and all.
"You wouldn't have caused a ruckus if I hadn't scared you." He grinned. "I don't see how there's anything to forgive. How about we call it even and start over? Maybe out of the water, too."
Stepping sideways on the bank, he stayed clear of the water. "I'm Raikinti, by the way."

"That sounds better." Grinning a little, Pavitra trucked out of water, a little mud sticking to his hooves. Well. White was hard to keep clean ya know.
"My name is Pavitra." Doing a little boy. he stuck on his front leg and bent his head downward. The male seemed exotic and friendly, which made for pleasing company. He'd never seen markings like his, but also many had never seen a completely white alicorn either. "Its a pleasure to meet you." Straitening back, he already felt the sun drying off his wet fur.

"Nice to meet you as well, Pavitra." Raikinti grinned. "And I'm sorry about the damage to your appearance, but trust me when I say it's minor. And of course, temporary."
Ducking his head slightly, he hid behind his bangs with a shy little laugh and fidgeted on his hooves. It wasn't like him to say such things so openly, so he snorted softly to cover it up. Delrialto would be so proud of him speaking so boldly, his best friend was constantly trying to make him open up.
"I'm new to the area, so please pardon me if I'm barging into your territory."

Blushing an pale pink nicely hidden by his white fur, Pavitra felt a rush of nervousness. Was.. was he getting a compliment? Even though he was drenched head to toe and muddy? He felt a lock in his overly social personality and for a moment had no idea how to respond.
Ah! Common ground.
"Oh no, no!" He said in a rush of breath he didn't realize he was holding. "I'm just a by passer myself!" He smiled sheepishly. "I've just been traveling for some time, wandering around aimlessly." A breathy laugh came out sounding almost embarrassed like. Laaame.

Raikinti chuckled to himself. For some strange reason, it was easier to relax around someone who was as -seemingly- nervous about social situations as he was. Granted, it was nothing like being thrown into a conversation by your best friend, but he figured he'd manage to swim regardless.
"Ahh, good. I'd hate to step on toes when I'm so new to this land." Raikinti chuckled at the other stallion's sheepish expression. "Wandering aimlessly, is it? I've not done that too much, I'm afraid. When I left my homeland I more or less made my way here, there wasn't much reason for me to stay there though."
He tsked at himself for bringing up such things. "This place seems infinitely more preferable, though. Perhaps I'll take my time wandering, now that I'm here."
Stretching faintly, he paused for water before eying Pavitra. "So your wandering brought you to this land?"
The idea was an intriguing one, especially if you had wings, Raikinti supposed. He wasn't much one for wandering as he preferred his forests, but in his travels back here, he'd passed some beautiful places. Places lovely enough to make him hesitate, and now that he'd been reunited with his best friend and had what one could consider a 'home', it might be nice to travel a bit and see some more of the world.

Smiling broadly, Pavitra took his character in. A very hyper fellow. "Yes, I'm actually from the mountains. A very cold place. I'd never suggest traveling there. Ever." Shuddering, Pavitra shook out his fur again even though the sun was quickly drying him. "I much rather stay in these warmer, more comfortable climates. I'm actually traveling with a friend I met here, though he's off somewhere, stuffing his face." Chuckling, Pavitra imagined Raj with chipmunk cheeks and some grass peeking out of his mouth. Hilarious sight to see.
"Has anything specific brought your travels here?"

Raikinti smiled sheepishly, mentally kicking himself. Delrialto would be laughing his head off if he were here to watch his best friend chatter so foolishly. 'You sound like some hyperactive foal, you know.' Maybe it was a good thing he wasn't here. There were only so many times Raik could take watching his friend roll around in laughter.
"I'll take your advice then." He replied with a flick of his ears, shivering slightly. "I don't... Particularly enjoy the cold."
And snow? He really didn't know what to think of that!
"I'm here because I couldn't stay in my old home, and my best friend lives here. Delri always said that if I needed to call on him for any reason, I could. So, here I am. Hopefully now that I'm here, I'll find a few really good reasons to stay."
